The food was delicious, the coffee was good which seems like a steal when a lot of places charge a lot but their food taste/quality doesn't match the price. I just happened to find this place before having to catch my flight out of Ontario. Whenever I'm back in the area I will definitely have to stop here and try other items on the menu. First time over been to the new location. I'm mixed on thoughts because I had expectations of the old place. The location is VERY small and bland. The older location had a lot of cafe type charm to it and while it as small also, it just appeared much bigger than this location. I think they need to take over the empty location next door and make it more seating and add some oomf to it. Stylish decor, lighting, etc. make it more Inviting. They've been at the Rancho location long enough now. You can keep it simple and charming, but not so blah. Service was good. Food is still decent. Prices have really gone up- A LOT since it went last but again it's been a while. They seem a little More expensive than some other cafes, but that's just me. We sat by a window and with it being 60 degrees out it was still comfortably hot a they had cheap black shades but they don't help much. In the summer they're gonna have to invest in good AC and awnings or quality shades to block out some heat or people are gonna complain. Over all, it's not the worst by any means. It's still decent... but it definitely needs to change a few things to really stand out and sustain themselves in this location. 4stars for the service for sure. Missing 2 because the food was basic and for the price it was subpar, and the ambiance was lacking. I think that's not everything, but it does help when you have a visually inviting scene. read more

New location visit. Nice location, but will have issues if they do not update their menu to meet the locals tastes. Average at best. Nothing seems freshly made. Seems like they are reheating frozen food service items. Everything was overly salted. Paid $60 for this. Asked if they had turkey sausage, and the server was short with us and said they would never have turkey sausage. My wife ordered hotcakes with the country potatoes that he described as having onions and peppers. There were not onions or peppers in the obiviously previously frozen square potatoes. Also, a different person brought out French Toast instead of the hot cakes. When we finally flagged down the server, he offered to exchange the plate for hot cakes, but we decided not to since we did not want to waste food. The whole experience was great. The staff were warm and friendly and checked on me several times. I can't say enough about the food. I ordered the half ham steak and eggs. It was so good and came out quickly. The portions we large and worth the price. The location space is on the small side so on a busy weekend expect to wait for a table, but it is 100% worth the wait. I had a really frustrating experience here. We were a party of 7 and asked to be seated at a table with 6 chairs while the last person (who was literally in the parking lot bringing a baby) joined us. We were completely willing to work with the situation -- even offered to split into separate tables -- but instead of trying to help, the front desk staff just kept repeating that "everyone needs to be here." There was no effort to find a solution, no flexibility, and honestly it felt dismissive. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable, just a little understanding. This is an easy "yes", good food, service, and a comfortable environment. We went there for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The chicken fried steak was crispy and not greasy. The gravy complimented the crispy chicken fried steak. The pancakes were freshly made and were light and tasty. Overall very good breakfast. The only thing is that they didn't open until 9:00 am. I'm bummed to say that we were not impressed with this place. And it's been on my list for a while too. I don't know where the amazing reviews are coming from cause the food was not good. We got pancakes, sausage, home fries and a hot link. Everything tasted store bought and warmed up, nothing home cooked. And the pancakes was doughy and thick and flavorless. And the water?! The parking is very limited but you can park on the street or the plaza across and walk over The staff is always so friendly and accommodating.
