I was talking to one of the locals, and they stated that the owner of this restaurant served large portions because he felt it was his way of giving back to the community and not always worried about budgets and money. The only drawback about eating breakfast here is you can still smell some of the odors from the partying the night before as it had a dance club/nightclub atmosphere on a Friday night. So, if you are looking for a breakfast and you wanna go somewhere different than Helen's across the street, check this place out you won't be disappointed by the variety of their menu for breakfast and the quality of the food that comes out.

We had a couple of small things to ask about when we arrived (the trash/TV), but she answered quickly. The location was easy to find and even better than described, and the accommodations were clean, modern & updated, and well appointed. The views were stunning from our relaxing porch and upper balcony, the neighbors were friendly and welcoming, and "town" was just close enough to be very convenient. Some of the people in our group ventured out to other WBF locations like the cafe and The Public House, and had nothing but glowing reviews for those experiences as well. We are already planning our trip back!

I received the coffee but without the sweetener I requested. No donuts. Got someone's attention and requested the donuts. I was given one. Flagged down another person to get the second. The time was about 2:00 PM and I was the only person in the store. Only a few cars in drive-through. I counted 9 staff inside. Most were working, some were talking among themselves. It was a struggle to get anybody's attention. I dealt with four different people. It was hard to make eye contact with anyone and not a single person smiled or said thank you. Hopefully, today was just a bad day and things will be better if I stop again.

When I finally reached the window, the staff looked as thrilled to be there as someone waiting at the DMV on a Monday morning. The food? Spectacularly disappointing. The fries were cold and limp -- not even remotely crispy. My burger looked like it had been assembled during an earthquake. The bun was squished, the toppings were haphazardly thrown on, and the cheese wasn't even melted. I've had better meals out of a vending machine. To top it off, they forgot half the order. No napkins, no sauce, and somehow no straw for the drink. It felt less like fast food and more like a scavenger hunt. The dining area wasn't much better. Tables were sticky, the soda machine was out of multiple options, and the whole place just felt tired and neglected. I don't expect five-star dining from McDonald's, but I do expect warm food and basic accuracy. This visit managed to miss even that low bar.
