I went in on 3/18/26 at about 5:00pm and there was a young lady working the counter who is an ABSOLUTE SAINT. There was an old gentleman sitting outside who I offered to buy a sandwich for (meatball sub). She treated him with dignity and respect as she was dealing with multiple customers. DeLish! Slightly away from the highway, but super easy to get to and find. Walked in and was quickly greeted. Super friendly staff and the food was amazing. Everything was fresh and tasty. This is one of the better Subways, in terms of quick service and fresh bread. The store is clean, and the clerks are friendly. I like Subway because they have a wide variety of sandwiches that you get to watch them prepare. The lettuce and veggies are crisp and tasty, especially in the heat of the summer. I appreciate that their overhead menu has the calorie count of each item, so you can stick to your eating plan if you're on one. Sandwiches available include the standard fare: club, spicy Italian, BMT, oven roasted chicken, tuna, meatball, roast beef, etc. They do offer a veggie sandwich. For sides, they offer potato chips. The available brands of chips vary from store to store, but usually include baked Lays, BBQ Lays, Sour Cream and Onion, Doritos, Sun Chips and Fritos. I wish they offered a bigger selection of chips, but it's not a big deal because it keeps me from overeating. For dessert they offer fresh baked cookies, which are very good, but high calorie. They do carry special items on the menu, and some stores even have breakfast, which is a selection of egg sandwiches served in a wrap. I haven't tried those, and likely won't, because this is the land of breakfast tacos. Anything else usually won't do, and the Subway breakfast just doesn't look appealing. Subway is the cheapest, healthiest choice for lunch that I can think of. They frequently offer coupons. My only gripe is that 99% of the stores don't have a drive up window. I have a disability, and getting in and out of the car is a hassle. read more

Food is good as usual, but received paper coupons, today in a newspaper that comes on Wednesday. This location as I was informed by management told employees they don't take paper coupons. The reasoning is even more ridiculous. Because people make copies of the coupons. So what. They have expiration dates, and if you cannot read an expiration don't accept them. But brand new coupons should always be accepted. So I plan to go to a different location going forward and will call about the coupons before going or maybe go to a different competitor. read more

Terrible staff. Terrible service. The owners should lose their franchise. At 9pm, I waited 15 minutes in line with just 2 people ahead of me. The 2nd worker was more interested in cleaning up in back (so they could close in an hour) than in helping customers. This store is a disgrace to the Subway name. Was really wanting a sandwich from Subway. Ordered flatbread with cheese and black forest ham. I asked for spinach, tomatoes and black olives. The tomatoes were very thin but when she got to the olives she gave me 7 pieces. It wouldn't even make a whole olive! I asked for more, in the past they have out on a hand full, but was told that they couldn't put on anymore. Never mind that I wasn't asking for peppers, onions or any other condiments. When I complained through their website the manager emailed me back and tried to blame it on the employee. Nothing about, oh no you should have gotten much more. We walked in on a Sunday, around 8pm to a slow restaurant and a set female employees--one of which was sitting at table in a Subway uniform shirt and pajama bottoms with assumably her boyfriend, or a young man. There was a couple in front of us who went to order and then quickly turned around and walked out. When we tried to order, the other young lady employee was quick to warn us they only have one type of bread and are out of every other kind. We were okay with that and ordered a steak sandwich. Then the girl in the pajama pants comes to "help" and tells us that they are out of steak.....in fact, they are out of almost EVERYTHING, as their food shipment wont come in until Monday morning. We are clearly standing with a giant display of food directly in front of us, but they are out of practically everything? Right. It was pretty obvious this set of employees had checked out and simply did not feel like serving people that evening. Not a great idea to actively "shoo" away two sets of paying customers (and probably whoever else entered behind us). Though we would have preferred otherwise, our money went to another place across the street. read more

Horrible service. Yolanda is always rude but today her behavior was unacceptable. She raised her voice, not only at us but at another employee who was trying to ring us up. She refused to use the lettuce from the fresh bin after we repeatedly asked politely since the 1st bin had brown and reddish old lettuce with gnats. She covered up the fresh lettuce with the lid and told us NO. She was slamming things around, put the bad lettuce on the sandwich and then flung it off when we said we didn't want the wilted lettuce. She's always absolutely horrible but today was by far unacceptable. Subway should consider finding a new employee. Multiple issues for multiple people with Yolanda over the past few months. Many of us go there on our lunch break. I will never go here again and will make sure none of my coworkers do either. Customer service is still important and she doesn't care about good service. She seems very bitter and I'm. It sure why. We're regulars there and she is a problem during every visit. This is store number 67275 on Vance Jackson and Wurzbach. When I asked Yolanda for her name, she refused to give it. Another employee had to tell us. I'll be contacting the owner of this location. Subway, consider a new employee for this location. What a ripoff. Got coupons in the mail for two foot longs for the price of one. Usually go to the Subway on Callaghan bit went to Wurzbach only to find they don't accept coupons. Ordered two melts using the app, seconds after placing my order I was called from the store and told that they couldn't fulfill my order since they no longer do melts. I was then told to contact support for a refund but it seems it's impossible to talk to a real person and not an automatic response. I called the store but they told me there's nothing they can do. Okay, first negative review in a while. We arrived at 9:42pm and we saw Maverick walk to the front door and unlock it (store closes at 10:00). We walk in and are greeted by the other guy working that night (2/28). He had to be the absolute slowest at making our meal bless his heart. It took him nearly 21 minutes to make a 6", a soup, and a pizza. He was in some sort of trance or trip. Hah. Once we got our food my fiancé went to pay, while I was getting the drinks. The ice tea buckets were empty and washed out which bummed me out so I settled for a couple sodas. Fiancé swiped her card and the guy just kinda stared at her and smiled so she grabbed the food and he said thank you so we went to our vehicle. While we were outside she had to spit out her soda I looked at it and it was practically clear. All carbonation no syrup. When I went back inside to change the drink before they locked the door the guy was still staring and said "I don't think the card worked it didn't print a receipt (it didn't work because she wiped instead of inserting the chip). So I paid for the meal no big deal but you think he would tell us something before we leave! I tried to pour Coke or another soda but they were out of syrup. Only Root Beer had a good taste. Finally left at 10:06 PS. I'm not sure if Maverick isn't allowed to make a sandwich. We've been here 10+ times and have never seen him make one. Twice now, this location will not scan my card from my phone. Luckily I had put my debit card and some cash in a phone holder when I went walking at the park. The girl didn't seem to think it was strange at all for the card reader to not be working. It just seems very odd to me that it's happened to me twice. This is the worst subway ever. I went to order lunch( i work overnight shifts) and one they only had one kind of bread. Not only that, there was only five loaves left. It was 9pm and they close at 10. Not only that, they had no veggies. I asked for spinach and i am looking at their empty 1/3 pan. "We are out" is what the employee said. Really? Go in the back and open a bag of spinach. And guess what?, the cucumbers were translucent. The lettuce was three minutes away from being bad. I did tip cause i am not an ass and the service industry is taking a hit right now. But whoever is in charge there, get your shit together. I was a kitchen manager and the way those veggies looked and the fact that they didnt want to bake anymore bread is ridiculous. Why be open that latw if all you will serve is napkins. I asked to have new bread because the one she was using was all flimsy, and tearing everywhere when cutting and ugly it didn't look appealing and she responded with this is a new bread! Also ask for it toasted and was still given soft, I've never written a bad review until now & to finish it the other lady threw the sandwiches to us. Never again coming to this establishment.
