I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the service I received at your milpas subway on 5/15/24. I placed an online order for a sandwich through your website, specifying that I wanted avocado on it, and eagerly went to pick it up. Upon arrival, I explicitly asked Ana, the store worker, multiple times if my sandwich contained avocado, to which she reassuringly confirmed each time that it did. Excited to devour my meal at home, imagine my dismay when I unwrapped my footlong, only to find NO AVOCADO whatsoever! Feeling cheated and betrayed, I immediately called the store and spoke to Ana, who, to her credit, apologized profusely and offered to rectify the situation by providing me with a complimentary replacement sandwich the next day, when Manager Brenda would be working. Fast forward to the next day, I found myself unable to visit the store due to work commitments. When I called to ensure I could still claim my sandwich, the store worker I spoke to, Yolanda, abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation. Undeterred, my boyfriend called back, only to encounter yolanda again- an extremely rude employee who showed no empathy or willingness to help. Despite our polite requests, this employee, Yolanda, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and customer service skills. She callously dismissed my concerns, laughed off my requests to speak with Brenda, and when I said I just needed the phone number of who to call and didn't want to get her in trouble at work , she had the audacity to say "she doesn't care, a lot of places are hiring right now anyway". What should have been a simple resolution to a mistake on your part turned into a nightmare, exacerbated by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of your staff. It's unacceptable that I, as a paying customer, should be treated with such disrespect and indifference. I implore you to address this issue promptly and ensure that such incompetence and lack of respect are not tolerated in the future. As a loyal customer, I expect better from Subway, and I sincerely hope you take appropriate action to rectify this situation internally with your staff and also externally with me. If subway fixes this or even reaches out, I will update my review but if everything is left how it is now, the review will remain until something happens. read more

Subway is not my favorite place but from time to time an over roasted chicken breast is quite nice. This particular location is clean and up to normal standards. Upselling is a little high, they try to upsell even when everyone is clearly all about the $5 sub of the day. This might not be limited to this location, franchisees gotta make money somehow. Loved their staff and prices. They always ask from and to and do not cheat on prices. They always have delicious sandwiches. Elsewhere prices are higher. I love this Subway, Yes, in principle, in all of Santa Barbara, it is not expensive. Kind and accommodating staff. The quality and food is great. Horrible customer service. I went in there with a good attitude & the lady Maria was a total douchebag and super rude. The district manager was a douche too. Ibaldo or whatever his name was. He is terrible. No accountability for their rude behavior and unnecessary hostility. I can see now why they have such a terrible rating. Never coming here again. I'm not a huge advocate for corporate sandwich chains to begin with, as the local spots really know how to whip up a good hoagie for very reasonable prices on the freshest of ingredients. However, when I am in a rush and looking to spend around $5 to get some food energy in me I can do a Subway sandwich every so often. This Subway, though, I will never be back to.. I stopped by here the other night to grab a quick bite about 2 hours before closing and they had already put away a majority of the ingredients. The sitting areas, though, were all covered in loose veggies, napkins, and sauce marks as if a huge party had just happened and the employees hadn't had time to pick up yet. Yet the place was completely dead and the staff were clearly in no rush to clean or even serve at the time, as they kept flirting with each other and having to ask me over and over again what I had asked for. Very dirty and unprofessional. This time around I ordered a Club toasted with chipotle and it came out tasting like a stale wheat bread sandwich with roast beef and half a tomato in it. The toasting was way too short, the gal had barely put any toppings on as she was not paying attention while asking me what I'd like on it, and the all the ingredients tasted like plastic. Now you're probably thinking, "But Dani it's a fast food chain, they're not supposed to be top quality." I get that, don't get me wrong, but I have been to many other Subway's in the past and none have ever given me the experience I had here. I would love to see new management come in and clean up the shop, train their employees to be more respectful and professional, and learn to store the ingredients in a more "FDA certified" kind of manner so they appeal and taste better for costumers. For now, I will stick to Sam's To Go even on my rush days. read more

I made an order to take out paid with Apple Pay. I got to the subway to pick it up, two young male employees working. One did not have a mask and was constantly wiping his face. The other had a mask that sat below his nose. I asked the employee without the mask where his mask was, and he pointed to it sitting on the counter where the bread sits to make sandwiches. A Subway is a Subway. What can you expect? But this place doesn't even listen to what you order. I ordered a mini sub and she gave me a regular. My friend ordered a regular and she gave him a foot long. When I questioned her about it, she didn't apologize, she acted as if she was doing us a favor, even though she charged us full price. And no more paper left in the comment box. Of course! I didn't want a 6 inch tuna sub. I was about to work out in thirty minutes and just wanted something small. But I ended up eating all of it anyway and had fish burps all throughout training. Thanks Subway! If they get to make it their way, I should be able to pay what I want. Me: I ordered a mini sub. As I embarked on my lunch hour today I said to myself "I feel like something cheap, fast and not very delicious" So I turned to Subway and there $5 foot long. Have you noticed all the bread selections that Subway has these days. Some how they all seem to taste the same, and I can figure out why. Sometimes I think that the bread actually has no taste at all, but what I am actually tasting is the smell of the bread they are baking. I like that they toast your sub for you now. I believe it increase the taste by between 27%-43%. The only problem is the bread never gets toasted the cheese just melts. So then again I get suspicious of this bread. How come its hot enough to melt cheese, but doesn't even mildly warm the bread. I am not going to do it, but somebody needs to look into EXACTLY what is going on with that bread. read more

Placed a catering order the week before. Came to pick it up for work event. The staff had absolutely no knowledge of the catering order. I showed them receipt that I had from the order place the week before. Supper annoyed. I'll never place an order at this subway. The staff were very nice and worked fast to get the order ready. Hardly any tuna in the sandwich. Tasted more of the bread than I actually did the tuna. Noticed that it is also being scooped up by a smaller scooper too. It use to be bigger. The guy that wrapped my sandwich must be new or something because he did not make the sandwich nicely (most ingrediants were on the wrapper and he also didn't wrap the sandwich correctly. Everything was falling out of it. I normally like all the Subway's I go to, but the one on Milpas needs to be less greedy when it comes to the serving amount of tuna, like I said before, there was hardly any tuna on the sandwich and also better at putting the sandwich together. It's a Subway. It's in the Santa Barbara ghetto (which is like the "okay" part of town in your average city). The workers are probably getting minimum wage, so you get minimal service. You get what you get. The place is generally busy, so at least the food hasn't been sitting around all day growing funky. There, that's your selling point for this location. read more

terrible costumer service. Me and my friends went in to buy some sandwiches on Monday December 26,2016 at 9:53 pm the two workers weren't taking their jobs seriously. We started eating at the table, I was not even half way done with my sandwich and they told us to leave. "Ya estamos cerrados váyanse!" Came here with my sister. She had the BMT on wheat and i had the turkey and cheese on wheat. Both sandwichs were good for a chain store, the place was clean, and the people were nice. Lots of parking in back, no bathroom. read more
