Our server Emma was amazing! She was so kind and attentive. The food was also very delicious and freshly made. 10/10 experience!!

We ate here last Wednesday (7/29) and the entire experience was terrible. Firstly, I ordered a chopped chicken salad and my salad arrived with no chicken. We let the server know and she brought us a plate of chicken. Not a huge deal. The problem was, when it came time for the bill, another table was added to ours without us realizing until we received the receipt. We paid an excess of $70. The manager and server spent at least 30 minutes trying to process a refund but said that our table "wasn't in their system". Mind you, we tipped 20% on this over charge, & assuming the server was also tipped from the table that was added to our bill, she made an excess on top off of her mistake. The manager assured me that they processed a refund and the pending charge would be corrected. Sure enough, the pending charge is not corrected, and we've still yet to be refunded. Today, (8/6) I called to speak with the manager and I was told that "I should call back late next week because they're super busy this weekend" So in short, the service was terrible, the wait was long, and we were overcharged without a refund read more

Again..... we come here and you sit around and nobody helps you. It's clear they don't have a manager that knows what's going on. If you have kids, don't be enticed by the kids menu price. You wont be able to get in and out in a timely manner. I would budget two hours for a place like this. If you have that kind of time, I would drive to the Ventura location where the food and the service is 1 million times better. We waited about 25 minutes before receiving any service and eventually had to ask where our server was. During our hour and a half there, we had three different servers. The host told us Mia would be our server, and we watched her walk past our table multiple times. We had also signed up for a free appetizer and let our server know, but we had to ask the manager twice before it was taken care of. Came here last night with a friend. He ordered the kids pasta with marinara sauce and chicken. I ordered the new salmon dish with piccata sauce. The salmon was amazing, but I wasn't a fan of the pasta so I left it. They forgot to bring us bread, but we never mentioned it. I still gave a nice tip and the server was very friendly. CPK has been around for a long time in SB. The workers are unfailingly polite, the food is pretty good, and it's almost never a long wait, despite being a hub for teenagers cruising the mall with friends. The atmosphere is cool and the prices are reasonable. That said, it's not my favorite and I do wish they had some more sandwiches or lighter pastas available, because there are already so many good pizza joints in town and according to their menu (which is forced to list calories) 90% of the rest of their items will add a couple lbs to my already substantial frame. I also would have loved for them to have had the Monday Night football game on instead of a Telemundo game show and to invest in an IPA on tap. However, these are somewhat minor issues and maybe they can get corporate to address them for folks like me. I also want to note that they host fundraisers for several local schools and I really appreciate that. read more

I stopped in the California Pizza Kitchen for a late lunch. This was my first time here. So I had some difficulty finding the main door. But once I found out I was warmly greeted by the hostess and seated right away. I ordered a pizza and salad combo but I only ate half of it and took the rest to go. I also with the Caesar salad as my salad selection. Overall, everything was very delicious. I also ordered the passion fruit mango iced tea and my waitress was very on top of it and was constantly bringing me refills. Some of my favorite items are the bbq chicken pizza or the thai chicken pizza. Their bread is also one of my favorites and when they give you the olive oil, it's an amazing combo. It's been several years since I've eaten at CPK. I came with close friends to enjoy a meal on a Friday afternoon. We were seated in a booth and immediately given waters. The waiter brought out bread and chimichurri sauce... a nice appetizer before our meal. I ordered the jambalaya pasta, it included sausage and chicken! The portion was hefty so and the spice wasn't bad at all. My friend ordered the California club pizza - the most beautiful, fresh and green looking pizza. The pizza had arugula and avocado on top. My other friend ordered the Shrimp zucchini pasta- unfortunately for her the portion was a lot smaller. It looked like 5 bites of food. Great service from Miles, our server. He had a great charm about him as he served our food promptly and anticipated the things we would need. My son had the bbq chicken pizza and it wasn't as good as it used to be. The crust was black, thin and the sauce was super sweet. The chicken pieces were not tender, but crispy in a pre-cooked way. Everyone else's food was just bland. Avocado egg rolls were the best of it all. The bathrooms smelled and needed servicing. Not the best experience, but Miles made it better! read more

Dont get me wrong the food here is good but the service definitely needs improvement. Went here a 2 months ago with a friend and waited over 30 minutes to even get bread and drinks. The server that eventually came wasn't even in charge of the section we were seated in. Came here recently again hoping it would be a little better. Came with a larger party this time, around 7 or 8 people, so expected a wait. Host told us no more than 30 minutes. We waited for 1hr and 20 minutes! MULTIPLE parties of 3-5 went ahead of us. (Overall: 76% | C) - I found the service to be quite good at CPK, but the restaurant to not be very clean. Overall, the food is on the cheaper side compared to most places in SB if you consider their lunch deal, but the quality is definitely not as good. (Tropical Iced Tea: 80% | B) - The passionfruit mango iced tea has unlimited refills, which is somewhat appealing. Make sure to sweeten it with a syrup as the unsweetened version is not it. The taste can somewhat taste like gum, but otherwise is okay. (Hawaiian Pizza: 80% | B) - The pizza had a lot of toppings and minimal cheese, which is my preference. I think the abundance of pineapple is nice, but is covering everything else on the pizza. The crust also did not match the proportion of the size of the pizza, but did taste good overall. (Tomato Bisque: 72.5% | C) - The tomato bisque has a good baseline taste mixing the classic tomato soup and cream. I found the menu to be quite misleading when it said "kiss of cream" when there's so much cream (as you'd expect) in this soup. Also, weirdly enough, some parts of the soup is lumpy. (Bread & EVOO: 75% | C) - The bread is nice and I really liked the herb dip -- it had a nice kick from the chili and strong herb taste as well. They did put a lot of toppings (chicken and vegetables) which was fire. The bbq chicken salad, no chicken add avo, Is by far one of my favorite salads in Santa Barbara. I go to other CPK locations and even though it's the same ingredients it never tastes the same. Maybe that's just me. Iv tried to mimic this salad at home but i don't have that magic CPK touch. Nice location of CPK at Paseo Nuevo. We came here for lunch, and the service provided by Angel was great- very friendly. We all enjoyed our dishes- chicken piccata, margherita pizza, and lunch duo of wild mushroom pizza and chopped salad. Under any conditions... Pizza. On a stormy Saturday night we traversed a treacherous journey on a scooter and stumbled in, soaking, to this CPK. A warm and welcome safe haven from the torrential downpour, we were ready for a slice or two. Sam Smith echoed overheard as we made our way to the table; a booth for two. The menu, while sticky, was well priced and expressed a great variety of items - some classic... some questionable. A trip to the bathroom to wash the mysterious menu substance off my hands revealed a restroom in which everything was slanted: leaning to one direction. The ladies restroom appeared to be the victim of a large earthquake but nonetheless functioned properly. The men's restroom, as per my partner, exhibited none of these symptoms. Our waiter who I found needed a Xanax was very accommodating and quick to take our order. For drinks we got an endless sunshine and a strawberry mocktail. For food, we shared The Works, a pizza with... The works. As we waited for our food to arrive we noticed that the tables were being immaculately cleaned and polished by one of the quickest bussers this side of the Mississippi. Whatever he's getting paid isn't enough for his vigorous cleaning and shining. Moments later our food arrived. The journey had drained us and we were ready to replenish our spirits with pizza. We dug in and it was only within a matter of minutes that the pie had vanished. Ravenous we may have been, but that was not a true reflection to the nature of the pizza. Although satiating and a generally enjoyable eat, it had a hint of frozen pizza nature. Although abundantly clear that it was cooked fresh with near front row views of the pizza oven and the chef, we couldn't help but shake the feeling that we could've thrown a frozen one in the oven to achieve the same result. Our drinks had a similar but expected chain restaurant sweetness. A little TLC, salt in particular, helped address the syrupy sweetness. Nonetheless we found the drinks enjoyable although we wish the cocktail was boozier. We felt that maybe we had outgrown the taste for CPK. So as one does i go walk over to where the Togo food is, where they leave the bags. The workers just stare at me as if I'm supposed to serve them. No one comes up to me and servers just walk by me. First let me say that I I've been coming to Cpk for 32 years and in my experience this was the best customer service I've ever experienced every employee you could tell genuinely enjoyed being there, and being a part of the team, they all help each other out. It was great to see. I would be doing a disservice if I didn't mention my guy RYAN RITTMEISTER , he treaded us so well and it was a true delight I have a five year old boy and it's my thing to take my son like my dad took me to CPK . My wife and I stopped by here to grab dinner on our last night of our honeymoon in Santa Barbara. She wanted her Salmon here so thats why we came here. We walked to the restrauant from our hotel which was a mile away. When we walked in, we got seated right away. I used the Dodger win pizza deal and my fiancée got her Salmon. The service was slower than usual but we were understanding with the world we live in. My pizza was alright but my wife said her Salmon tasted plain. I taste it as well and it was plain to me too.
