No wonder this place is empty.! We were going to go in for lunch and our friend was agead of us, on a bike and temporarily parked it inba far corner where no one would be near it. Instead of saying:"Im sorry no bikes allowed or PLEASE, bikes outside" the rude employee started screaming and waving his hands across the entire restaurant: HEY! GET THAT THING OUTTA HERE!" VERY rude. There are other pizza places withing walking distance on State that are better and NICER. read more

the only positive thing about this pizza joint was the late night appeal for a drunken night on the town. i'm sure they have good pizza hut i was unwilling to wait 30 minutes for a white pizza while under the influence. however, the mushrooms i got on my pizza were flavorless & bland beyond reason. my honey enjoyed his pizza, but that might be the beer goggles taking. the place itself has a cool appeal & inviting atmosphere. worth trying if you need a late night bite after the bar, otherwise... well, i'm sure you can guess what i have to say. read more

MY Girl friend and I came here for a slice. After I first ordered I decided I wanted a beer so I went back to the counter where I ordered the pizza and saw the guy putting pepperoni on my a slice of that was already done. The guy just put pepperoni on it and heated it up. Very disappointing. My girlfriend had the cheese pizza. Both slices were dry. you could tell the slices were old and merely heated up. If you want New York style pizza, dont come here. If you do ask him to make sure that it's fresh. because it is expensive!, $27 dollars for 2 slices of pizza and a beer. Not worth it!. I really should have looked at the reviews before coming here. I don't normally complain but the service,food and prices are just awful. We got a 16 inch pizza, spaghetti and antipasto salad to share with a family of 4. The pizza was over priced for what we got. The spaghetti was $14 for literally a small plate of spaghetti pasta and sauce that cost them like no more than $2. The salad was greens a few slices of lunch meat. I wish I took a picture of how bad it was. We paid $69 for this meal and when we asked to return the plate of spaghetti the manager was very rude and talked about my mom not to quietly in the kitchen. We could hear him talk crap about what did we expect. Ummm quality food for $69???? I know eating out on vacation would not be cheap but this place was not worth our money. read more

Good not great. Too thick. Nice crunch but asked for it well done aka crispy and it wasn't. Ordered on their website and was charged a $1 fee for ordering online. I tried calling to place an order to avoid this silliness but nobody answered. I called twice. No answer both times. So finally decided to just pay the extra dollar. Was very underwhelmed. I've had their large New York pie and slices before and both are much better, much thinner, than this nonsense of a pizza. Nothing about this pizza is New York style. Maybe you have to order the giant pizza to get the good pizza. Not sure. Either way. It was mediocre- not gonna lie I did eat the whole thing but I was really hungry and hadn't eaten all day. It's very dark and dimly lit inside and when I asked for some parm and pepper packets they scoffed at me and then handed me one parm and 2 pepper packets in total. The pizza is okay (greasy AF, thin crust). The service is gruff (maybe that's what they mean by authentic NY style). The prices raise an eyebrow (and the owner is such a greedy prick that he charges you extra for the pizza box). You'd be INSANE to eat here while St. Bibiana up the street is open. So why am I giving this joint three stars, bordering on four? Because they're OPEN LATE for the drunk-ass downtown revelers. And in a city that rolls up the sidewalk by 9 pm, that's a godsend. read more

The 4 stars is for the late night scene... here's what happened, I wanted a 16" pie for my girl & and the lady working the front said I could only buy by the slice or their massive pizza. I get yall don't want to deal with drunk people n there is a fat margin for income forcing people to either buy a huge a** pizza or a forced to buy by the slice. There is barley anywhere to get late night eats why take advantage of people when the world is already f'n us. I came in for a slice and ended up with a small pizza sized box with a massive slice in it. I think with taxes and all it was a little over $8, kind of a lot for a slice but everything is expensive anymore I guess. I'll pay $8 for a legit slice of thin crust NY style though, it's my favorite kind of pizza. It was delicious and I'd go again and eat a couple more slices probably. OK, back in the day I used to stop in to this flee bag after hitting the night clubs. That is until one night when me and Uncle Rocco almost threw down but his punk ass wouldn't come out from behind the counter. I was standing in line, buzed, or drunk, like everyone else at 2 AM on State street, and I'm rapping with a group of chics laughing and carrying. So Uncle Fukko decided that he wouldn't serve me, so we got into a heated argument I said I would kick his ass, he said he would kick my ass. I said why don't you come out here and try it, things esculated and he had his bouncer call over the cops. If you're looking for a spot with that authentic New York pizzeria feel, Uncle Rocco's is it. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is awesome. The place has that classic East Coast pizza shop atmosphere, and the bar is really cool with a great selection of drinks to choose from. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you're craving great pizza and Italian comfort food. The prices are more than fair, especially for the quality and portions, and the service was just as impressive. Everyone was welcoming and treated us like family, which made the experience even better. I anxiously grasped my over priced pizza receipt number while a single drop of sweat ran down my face after reading a sign that said "NO ONE WILL BE SERVED WITHOUT A NUMBER - NO EXCEPTIONS". I really wanted this pizza and don't have a good track record with hanging onto paper. As I approached the counter I expected someone to ask for my number and i was ready to proudly hand it over , but alas no one did , I breathed a sigh of relief as my Cortisol levels returned to normal and I at my Delicious overpriced pizza slice... Would be more stars if they were faster , better Customer service and cheaper . The Pizza and cheap beer is probably what is holding this place up. This place would not provide a copy of their health permit or most recent inspection. They do not properly handle or store their food. I was down there over the weekend with some friends and we all got really really sick from eating there. We throw up for three days straight. I tried going into the store to talk to the manager but they refused to provide a copy of their paperwork. I plan on contacting the Santa Barbara health inspector to complain. read more

Loved this spot. Annie and I spent a weekend in Santa Barbara back in 2018- Knocked out all the touristy stuff (Uni, Beach Bikes, Wine tours, Small Batch distilleries) before heading on a bar crawl. Bottom line is it's really good pizza. If you judge your pizza by Costco in either price, volume or cost, my words are probably lost on you ( no offense) but if you value good flavors creative combinations and great local businesses, this your place.
