This location is a regular stop for me going to and coming from Lexington. It is located in a new building and the staff keep it nice and clean including the restrooms. Truck and RV parking is available across the street at the Pilot Truck Stop. I've stopped here for a sandwich five different times in the past year. I have not experienced any issues. But then I'm not here to buy personality or to be greeted, I just want a fresh sandwich, well made and made quickly and so far that is what I have got. When I compare the prices charged here with what they charge at the Subway inside my local Walmart in Martinsville, they are no different, not higher. The other reviews baffle me because their experiences have not been mine.

Allways good service, and nice and fresh bread. Good portions of meat. One of my go to lunch and dinner places .

Food was typical Subway, but it was about $2 more than the identical foot long in Lexington. WHY THE PRICE GOUGE?

I can say the the golf was first rate the amenities was boundless to give a guest and membership a quality facility and devotional commitment to enjoyment. Our after round relation with drinks on the patio was relaxing to wind down a fabulous experience. If you should receive a invite to participate in any event please go you may become a happy guest or possibly a valuable member of a group who enjoys golf. I apologize for not asking to share the price of a golf membership.

My expectations for a club associated with a university are very high so please take this review…read morewith a grain of salt; this was beneath my expectations but was also at the time 'okay.' First, when I arrived at the University of Louisville Golf Club it wasn't apparent where I would park. When I go to my club Hobson (my manservant) usually drops me at the door and parks the Rolls Royce in Livery Parking before going to the lounge reserved for domestic staff. This club had none of that and since it was Hobson's day off (an arcane concept to be sure) I drove myself. Dylan was in a similar situation with Chauncey. So, not only was I confused as to where to park I also did things like opened the door for myself. This was totally outside my experience, I felt like I was at McDonalds or Cracker Barrel. Then the cocktail hour, which was its own farce. The cheese on the charcuterie wasn't labeled causing confusion for one of our managers, Terry, who was completely unused to cheese that didn't come individually wrapped. I am a cheese enthusiast so I would have enjoyed knowing where they found cheese that came in tiny squares as this was new to me. I like to know what I'm eating. I went to the bar and not only didn't have they what I wanted they seemed mystified by my second, third, and fourth choices. The food we were served was not only terrible but unrecognizable and a subject of debate at work today. The cheese used on the salad followed the charcuterie's 'anything goes' philosophy but the greens were also wilted and sad looking themselves. I thought our entrée was the worst, most fatty pot roast I had ever been served and but Robin insists it was short ribs. The vegetables were partially steamed and partially raw giving you that mushy-crunchy mix that is apparently the new "sweet and salty." Salty indeed, whenever someone at our table would ask someone working there a question you would think by their reaction we propositioned them for something tawdry. The service was so bad I wanted to offer to lend them Hobson on his next day off to learn the proper care and feeding of the one percent. What if I had brought Angela Merkle as my plus one - as I often do? The lavatory was its own adventure. First, we had to traverse the men's locker room (which was nicely appointed) and while we were lucky in that it was devoid of the standard-issue octogenarians conversing in the nude like some sort of Spartan Army reunion it was also lacking in attendants! There was no man standing with a towel after I washed my hands, nor a selection of soaps and colognes that would have normally been in the lavatory of my own university club. Hobson hasn't powdered my derriere since the Bush administration and luckily I only voided my bladder but what if I had needed assistance? Sure, Dylan was there but he was in the same boat without Chauncey. If you're not picky about what you eat, how you're served, and you happen to be on the wrong side of the Gene Snyder expressway this might be the kind of place you'd like. I will stick to my university club, it suits my lifestyle better.
