She was extremely busy with several other tables, so I asked Kellen who was walking past our table if, when he had a chance, he could simply bring us some more water. Kellen went above and beyond. Not only did he immediately refill our water glasses, but he also asked if he could clear all of our plates. We weren't even part of his assigned tables, yet he noticed that we needed assistance and willingly stepped in to help. I also noticed that Kellen appeared to be one of the younger members of the staff, which made his level of initiative and service stand out even more. He demonstrated the kind of work ethic, awareness, and genuine willingness to serve that is becoming increasingly rare. Before we left, I made sure to find the manager and personally share how impressed we were with Kellen. She told us that he was actually a recent hire, and I told her, "He is somebody you need to keep!" His attitude and willingness to go above and beyond made our experience at this location even more enjoyable. Kellen is a great example of what excellent customer service looks like.
