Although I have been to waffle House, which I'm sure I reviewed prior. I came in around supper time, 6:00 p.m. or so, and it was probably at 75% capacity. I sat at the bar, after being welcomed by a local fully equipped with his own Skynyrd beer koozie!! Hahaha! They have karaoke, and they karaoke DJ spinning all the good country hits, literally emulating exactly what I play at home. Anyhow, the local that pulled my chair out essentially, told me that the "bartender sucked" But in good ole down home local fashion, she clapped right back, and obviously he was joking cuz she is phenomenal. Despite having a completely full bar, and waiting tables, she acknowledged me almost immediately. Even sat down in the bar stool next to me to take my order and chit chat and go over the menu with me. I think her name was Alicia, but regardless she was outstanding! I ordered hot wings and lemon pepper wings. They came out really fast, really hot, and really good. I kind of wish I had room to order another entree, but it filled me up. As I waited for my food, I was suddenly engulfed by an entire group of locals. Now this place, is the mature crowd, and they were so nice they sort of took me under their wing! This is the epitome of down south hospitality. I've been holding out on coming to this place for a few years now, and looking back, I wish I would have came a lot sooner. I hate using the term "vibe", But this is totally my vibe. Great food, great service, great locals, laid back atmosphere with music playing and karaoke? You just can't beat it. I have responsibilities, so I had to leave really early, but rest assured, I will definitely be back. I mean who else is going to sing Jason Aldean on the karaoke machine? Thank you skynyrd's, thank you Alicia (I hope I remembered your name right), such a great experience and I'm sorry I had to cut it short! Fantastic Food & Wonderful Service!…read more What a great experience at Gergios Pizza & Family Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, welcoming, and professional, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely fantastic! The pizza was delicious, with great flavor and that perfect, satisfying bite. The steak and scallops were tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully. But the real showstopper was the lasagna -- it was out of this world! Rich, hearty, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. You can tell there's pride and care going into both the food and the way customers are treated. If you're looking for a welcoming family restaurant in South Carolina with great service, generous comfort food, and plenty of delicious choices, Gergios is definitely worth a visit. Great people + great food + great experience Thank-you Bailey for the awesome service. We'll definitely be back!

Pasta salad was good, I will definitely return when I'm up this way from Savannah. **** this is for the lady who wanted to bring her dog in and gave them a 1 star, some people are allergic to pet hair plus a dog shouldn't be allowed in a restaurant serving food. I can't believe I've lived in five years I've lived in 4 states and never tried Culvers! Well that…read morerecently changed and I'm here to talk about it. Located on Ladson road in a safe and easy to access area, Culvers is home of two notable products; the butter burger and concrete. I will start out with for some reason all the cars were in one line, totally dismissing the other order station which I accessed and skipped ahead three spots! Also the people are extremely nice although they have an interesting number system as I suspect it takes them a while to make their offerings. First up I ordered onion rings since my mom finally got out of the hospital and was craving "real food." I'll go on the record stating the onion rings were probably in my top two in town. Freshly fried with REAL ONIONS and a semi-thick batter. First bite, if one survives the magma hot touch will be a huge crunch with a slight resistance from the onion itself. In thinking back, I should have ordered two servings as I didn't want to share. Alas I ate less than half because I'm trying to be a good son. Next, I finally got to try a butter burger or in this case a mushroom and Swiss burger. To be honest I thought they cooked the burger in butter rather than they lightly toast the top bun in butter. That seems a flimsy proclamation to hang your hat on but I digress. The burger was darn good, the meat tasted better than a fast-food joint and had a slight smash to it. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the Swiss! The cheese really brought the sandwich together. I dare say this is the best fast food burger I ever had, yes it was that good. As for dessert, I love concretes; I eat them anywhere I can find them. Culvers is probably last among the restaurants that offer them. Please note a concrete is basically a custard - think ice cream with egg yolks; it offers a thicker and richer experience - with a lot more calories. I got the cheesecake concrete with cherries. What I got was a little bit of cheesecake, no graham cracker crust and 6 whole cherries thrown on top. Moreover, it wasn't that thick, but thicker and tastier than any milkshake available from competitors. I'm a bit confused about my experience at Culvers, I was expecting a more decadent hamburger, one I thought would be seared in butter but what I got was equally good. The onion rings were phenomenal compared to subpar concrete offering. The people are nice and the speed is a bit slow, but perhaps that's warranted. After a few months if the hamburger and onion ring itch comes on, I'll be back but if I desire a concrete there's better options. Still, Culvers is a very good restaurant and I advise dropping on by to try for yourself.
