The cashier asked if I wanted to place a tip on my card, and I declined. When I received the none itemized receipt, it was $12.79 more, than my tally. I requested an itemized bill and received one you could barely see because the numbers were faded. I asked the cashier to check my numbers against the bill. When doing so, she still couldn't justify the difference after taxes, and 3.5% card fee. Also, shw wasn't sure if taxes were 7.5% either, but after adding it all in, she took my numbers and began refunding me in cash, which isn't the principal or was it okay. I left without understanding why, and with a clear itemized receipt. Folks, PLEASE START USING CASH. Merchants are taking advantage of us by charging 3.5% on top of taxes, not mention tips. The monthly fees they are charged for using a credit card machine very low, so imagine the incentives they gain, on top of increasing cost. The short of the story. She tried overcharging me hoping I wouldn't notice, and then said, God bless you!‍ And our table of six still left a $20 tip. God don't like ugly.

When we lived in Virginia SCNB was a definite stop while traveling in North Carolina. For many years we only ordered the bbq, until one year, my wife tried the fried chicken. OMG. They do chicken right. It reminds me of fried chicken when growing up. The seasoning is the best. Not hot and spicy but just gooood. Publix fried chicken comes close but SCNB always comes out on top. Next come the sides. The Brunswick stew tastes like the recipe is generations in the making. It is thick, meaty, and loaded with vegetables. If you're looking for pulled pork and excellent fried chicken, then SCNB is a fantastic choice.

We made 2 trips during the week we were here. The first time I got the chicken and bbq plate, also came with fries and hush puppies and also Cole slaw. As a Florida native. My idea of bbq is different. I'm used to sweet and tangy sauce or a golden mustard sauce. Their sauces are vinegar based with a bit of tomato paste for color and red pepper flakes. I will say it's an acquired taste. It wasn't bad. Their fried chicken was really crispy and it was really juicy, hot and fresh. I also tried their banana pudding which was pretty good. Could have more cookies and add whipped cream, but that's my personal taste. My second trip on the advice of my boyfriend I got the bbq sandwich which you can get with Cole slaw on and then add their vinegar bbq sauce and that was WAY better!! The tangy and creamy together was great. I also go their 3 piece tender snack pack. Wow these tenders were enormous! I had to take them home. One was as big as my hand! Also shared a hotdog with slaw on it and that was meh. I wouldn't get that again didn't care for the hotdog wasn't big enough or juicy enough.

They always get it right!…read more The Missus and I have been stopping by the Culver's off Rogers Road for a few years now and are never disappointed. The service is always top notch, the food delicious, and the prices are comparable to elsewhere. I tried a limited time burger on a pretzel bun with some pretzel bites and a mixer. Everything was beyond delicious. We love making Culver's our once a week order out meal. After this past trip, Culver's makes it back to the top choice list. Cannot say enough about this spot. Make it your splurge meal as well! 5 Delicious Stars out of 5!

What arrived at my table was a burger, completely wrong order, tomato included. When I brought it to the counter to have it corrected, instead of a simple apology and a swap, I was met with interrogation. A staff member began asking me to essentially prove that my order was wrong, requesting a specific part of the packaging before she'd agree to fix it. She then walked back to our table with me to inspect the receipt and my family's food for herself. I've never in my life had to prove that a restaurant made an error on my order in order to get it corrected. I was polite and even smiled when I took the receipt and the wrong order back to the counter and asked for a correction. The person who responded instantly made me a suspect. I guess, I forgot what part of the South I was in. The correct sandwich did eventually arrive, but by that point the experience had already soured the meal entirely. I won't be returning to this location.

I placed an order through the Dave's Hot Chicken app at the Wake Forest, North Carolina location on…read moreHighway 98. I ordered the Trio, which included mozzarella, boneless chicken bites, and sliders. When I opened my order, I was honestly blown away to discover that the sliders had been prepared and packaged without the chicken--the primary protein and main component of the item was completely missing. This goes beyond a simple mistake with a condiment, topping, or side item. How does an order make it through the kitchen, assembly process, packaging, and final handoff without anyone noticing that the actual chicken was missing from the chicken sliders? From a customer-service and basic QA/QC standpoint, this represents a significant breakdown in the order fulfillment process. Customers ordering through the app are trusting the restaurant staff to prepare and verify their meals before they leave the kitchen, particularly because an app customer may not discover an issue until they have already returned home. There should be some level of final quality-control check to ensure that the primary components of an order are actually present. I have already contacted Dave's Hot Chicken corporate and provided both my email address and phone number requesting a callback. I believe the level of service failure associated with this experience warrants more than simply reporting a missing item through the app. Someone within management needs to understand what occurred and determine how an order containing sliders with no chicken whatsoever was allowed to leave the restaurant. I understand that mistakes happen in food service, and I am generally reasonable about an occasional incorrect or missing item. However, completely forgetting the primary ingredient in multiple chicken sliders indicates a much more fundamental breakdown in attention to detail, quality control, and customer service. I hope Dave's Hot Chicken takes this feedback seriously, addresses the issue with the Wake Forest location, and follows up with me regarding how this situation will be resolved.
