Every time I think I've found my new favorite Thai food restaurant in the Seattle area, I am proven wrong because then I go somewhere to eat like Pat's Thai Shabu and you guessed it, I have a new favorite. Literally everything we tasted was delicious. I won't go into it because I think you should just go with your heart when you look at the menu, but I would bet my last dollar that everything you order off this menu is going to be delicious. Our waiter was very nice & attentive and a huge fan of the food he was serving which I always take as a good sign! I can't wait to go back and try the sushi and the hot pot. Specifically, their pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, and curries hit the spot! I used to love this place is raved about it to everyone! But recently its gone down hill. I ordered out for dinner and they forgot my side peanut sauce that I paid for. i reviewed this location about a year ago and i can easily say that the quality, and the service has declined. Went there twice in the past two months, hoping the first bad experience was a fluke, as i used to love this place, alas it was not. The first bad experience i had, my mother and i were one of two tables seated, and they were still about two hours from closing, so we figured it wouldn't be a problem. clearly our assumptions were wrong as the server after we were seated, took 25 minutes alone to come take our drink orders. we ordered our food when she came and then about another 25 minutes later we get our food. The food was decent, i enjoyed my curry but my mother got pad thai which she said had way too much fish sauce, but it happens. After we finished we waited... and waited... and WAITED for the check. to the point where we stood up to find our waitress to ask her for it, to which we found her sitting on her laptop inside. Overall not great. With my second negative experience i decided to take my boyfriend, hoping for some sort of redemption. This time the service was okay, definitely better than before, and it was busy so it's understandable if service is a little slow. I ordered the pumpkin curry, as i know there's nothing im allergic to in it (i have a nut allergy but i can eat coconut and a few other nuts but most are a no go!) , when i received my dish i could tell it was not the pumpkin curry, so i had my boyfriend poke through it and it did in fact have nuts in it. im glad we caught that before i ate it! The waiter was kind enough to grab it once we got up and found them, they brought me out the correct dish about 10 minutes later and the correct dish was great. Be mindful about serving the correct dishes please though, especially since it is dimly lit when you sit in the "outside" area connected to the theater. I still ended up paying full price , which fair enough since we got both of our dishes, but there wasn't an apology or anything :,)) which sucks because had he not seen the nuts in it i would have had to use my epi pen. First time here. Atmosphere 5 stars The restaurant is clean and well laid out. We sat "outside" in this boardwalk style area that is still indoors. There are other business in this walking area as well as a cinema. Friendly service, quick. Food- we ordered Thai Ice tea Spring roll California roll crunch Shrimp tempera roll Pad Thai w Chicken - husband said this was so close to ones he had in Thailand. Pad See Mao three star - we both LOVED this. Pineapple Fried Rice w Chicken one star- best one I have ever had in this region. Panang Curry w Chicken three stars - my fav!! Husband tried it too and said he could order that! He's not a curry fan. As we walked out- it was now closed , they did not hurry us out, it was nice to see it is family ran and the family was there eating dinner together. We will be back. For us- it is craveable!!! We decided to get take out from Pat's. We had Pad Thai and Pad see ew. Forgive me if I butchered the spellings. I ordered it all online and my bride picked it up. Prices are on the high side. You order your entree and if you want a protein there is a $4 up charge added to the base price. Personally I think that is a sneaky way to do things. Makes a $12.99 entree a $16.99 entree. I considered canceling the order but we really wanted to try it. Steamed rice is not free with the entrees. I know we live in a world of places fleecing its patrons for every little thing but it's getting old. On to the food. My bride liked her Pad Thai. She had extra peanut sauce (also not free) and crab rangoons. I had the Pad see ew. I like the wide noodles. It was decent but not other worldly. Service is always lovely and the food very fresh and flavorful. Had nigiri and duck noodle soup on most recent visit. Both were very fresh and the duck soup was so full of flavor with baby bok choy, fresh herbs and a full quart leftover to enjoy over the weekend. I was a little skeptical when I heard of this place opening up because, in my experience, any restaurant that offers too many types of cuisines typically bites off more than they can chew. The restaurant itself is lovely and there was live music playing when we arrived at around 5pm on a Saturday. Service was very polite and attentive and all the food came out quickly. Down to the food itself - over the course of two visits (one dine in, one take out), we've tried the Thai steamed dumplings, coconut prawns, shrimp spring rolls, pad Thai, pho, the spicy tuna lovers roll and salmon sashimi. The good: Thai steamed dumplings were so good! Perfectly steamed with good flavour and accompanied by what tasted like a citrus ponzu sauce. The coconut prawns were similarly good - the coconut batter was perfectly crispy and they were fried perfectly. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the sauce they served it with, which was different from the usual sweet Thai chilli sauce you can expect. It was still good (tasted like a peanut ginger base) but I prefer the Thai chilli sauce. The shrimp spring rolls were also a hit and are served with the expected Thai chilli sauce. Their pho was surprisingly pretty good! The steak and brisket pieces were thicker than we are used to but they were really tender so we didn't mind. The broth was also flavourful and well seasoned. This dish is the biggest win for me because I've been trying to find a GOOd place for pho nearby for ages now with no luck, always having to drive to Marysville. The ok: the pad Thai and sushi were kind of a miss for us. The flavours in the pad Thai were pretty good but the dish was drowning in sauce (which is saying a lot because I love sauce) so it was hard to eat more than a few bites at a time. Similarly, the salmon nigiri and spicy tuna lovers roll were decent but in my opinion do not stack up to what's available nearby. I particularly found it a little off putting that my sake nigiri pieces were served warmer than what I'm used to. TLDR: I'd give it a 4 for Stanwood's standards and look forward to coming back regularly for the pho and appies and to try other things on the menu. read more

This is a new place located inside the Stanwood mall. Our family attends a church in the movie theater in here and decided to try this restaurant after service. The staff here was super friendly and happy to help answer questions we had. We ordered several appetizers, the Rangoons were really creamy and smooth, you could taste the crab but not fishy. The Veggie spring rolls were delightful and the dipping sauce added to the flavor. Now the BBQ chicken was absolutely amazing my kids kept asking for more. Now the Pad Woon Sen was amazing, the taste was balanced perfectly, and while we ordered our spice mild as we ordered family style it was perfect for our entire family. We also found the beef and broccoli along with the sweet and sour Chicken absolutely amazing... They have so many options to choose from and we so look forward to trying all of them again soon and hope to be able to share our experiences as we try new dishes. read more

The restaurant itself is very colorful, clean and inviting but as you walk in and look around you'll see big windows on the other side and through the windows is a big mural of an old town and it's really a pleasant experience. It's actually the inside of a small mall with a movie Theator and 3 restaurants. The food was great! Good quality, great taste, good ingredients and a nice presentation too. Also the menu is diverse, they have all the Thai staples plus sushi and hot pot which to me is a breath of fresh air because after you eat Thai food like 5 days a week for years it's nice to have other options. Wow, this Thai restaurant is heads above any other Thai place i have been to in WA. The atmosphere and service are great. The choices are fantastic and the taste of the meals are superior. Food was average, not inspiring. Ordered takeout Tempura vegetables were not fully battered, and I've never seen onions included in Tempura and the onions had Panko breading they were not tempura. Calamari mediocre, again Panko breading. Chicken Pad Thai 3 stars average. Peanuts off to the side almost under noodles same with bean sprouts, once mixed on a plate average. Pad Kee Mao 3 stars and where were the wide noodles? There were few. Ordered with prawns and there were three total in the dish, Disappointing. Pineapple fried rice with prawns 3 stars again average, also the dish was at least 4 stars spicy instead of 3. 3 prawns total, a few big chunks of pineapple we cut up. And raisins were aplenty, too many, only 1 or 2 cashews. I really wanted to like the dishes but overall after opening everything and starting to plate, the presentation was lackluster. I am wondering did the head chef call in sick? I see really great reviews, unfortunately I cannot say the same. I also had a remark made when I paid, "oh lot of food." I love it when a new place to eat opens in my 'hood'. Lovely decor, clean & bright with 'outdoor' mall seating. My friend & I came for lunch & both had the curry lunch special. I had 3 stars which was pleasantly hot. We each ordered the different appetizer so we could compare. Both were excellent with the Crab Rangoon winning. Entrees are served in attractive manner... however the curry was in a 'boat style dish' & you couldn't put any rice in it. Waiter said to ask for a bowl next time which is what I would do. The menu is extensive & I noted 2 dishes that I would like t try later: Korean Bulgogi & Japanese Shabu Shabu. I never expect them to be as good as an authentic Korean or Japanese restaurant but a near miss is ok. My son & I came on Sunday & had the Bulgogi. Flavors were good but the meat was VERY tough. I ended up with chewed gobs left on the plate. I would now not order the Shabu Shabu. Both these dishes require excellent beef sliced very thin. A table nearby had ordered sushi rolls & said they were excellent. That's for my next visit! read more
