Our host Kyle was great! He was attentive, knowledgeable and made my birthday feel special. The outside dining view was gorgeous. A peaceful way to unwind. The food was delicious. Well prepared and good portions. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Great service, beautiful atmosphere, and delicious, filling food!! We had a great brunch here.

East Wind Rickey - gin based cocktail, delicious

Enjoyed a lovely evening here for a private supper club event while in town for a conference.in October 2025. The space itself is really beautifully decorated, clean and modern. We were sat in a separate room from the restaurant which was cozy. The staff were super lovely and attentive with our party. We dined on a set menu of three dishes, paired with three cocktails. The appetizer of coconut cashew prawn was my fave course. The dish paired well with the first cocktail, called a whiskey junglebird which contained whiskey, pineapple, Campari and passion fruit and lemon. The main was a chicken skewer with tamarind, plums and roasted plantain. It was paired with the second cocktail, called an East Wind Rickey, which was a refreshing mix of gin, pisco, grapefruit, ginger honey and tonic water. The honey stands on top of the drink added an interesting and interactive element. The dessert, a key lime tart, was delicious but I felt the last cocktail, their clarified pina colada, should have been more sour/bitter vs sweet to cut through the sweetness of the final dish. I enjoyed great conversation and met some cool people at the dinner - thanks Sudden Sally team for.a fun time!

First off, the house coffee is absolutely wonderful. My son went with an Italian sandwich from the case and I did the Classic Breakfast with an extra egg. The service was fast friendly and efficient. The inside reminded me of an alpine style hotel breakfast niche. A great place to enjoy a quick or not so quick breakfast or lunch. Right across from the Moxy where we stayed.

Pecan tart, crust was really sweet and a bit hard but otherwise delicious and we devoured most of it despite this.

Enjoyed a nice evening dinner on the patio right next door to my hotel. Took in beautiful views while dining on tasty bites in this laid back yet elevated restaurant. Overall food was great, service needed some work. The wait staff took a while to come by after being seated, forgot a drink, we had to ask to have dishes cleared to make room on the table, brought the wrong check then took a while returning. Also noticed employees smoke around the counter and it carried to the patio area. Tuna poke was seared perfectly. Didn't care for the over ripe mashed avocado, dish needed some heat. Ravioli was amazing except a few bites of dry, tough asparagus.

This was an easy breakfast for us, we were staying at the hotel next door. I had their Mushroom & Maple Smoked Ham Omelette, which came with potatoes and bread. The small potatoes were very good if not so healthy, the omelette was pretty standard. We are finding great service on our visit to Banff and received that again at Sudden Sally. As we were finishing up we got into a nice conversation and learned a couple of things about the area we found helpful.

Stayed at the sister hotel next door and had the pleasure of dining here for both breakfast and dinner, and I'm glad that I did! All of the dishes were amazing and made with thoughtfulness, and premium ingredients and executed well. I was particularly impressed with the beef stroganoff. The beef was really tender and went so well with the stroganoff sauce. From the breakfast items, their omelette and potatoes was a highlight for me. I couldn't stop eating their crispy breakfast potatoes and the omelette was a good mix between fresh and tasty. Service was awesome and helpful and the restaurant is very well decorated and has an upscale feel to it. Really glad that I dined here!

Had breakfast here twice during my stay in Banff and really enjoyed it both times. The service was quick and friendly, and it never felt overly busy or rushed. The croissant breakfast sandwich and the fried oatmeal were both great. I thought the menu could have had some more variety. Coffee was also good, and everything came out fast. A great spot for a relaxed, or quick breakfast without a long waits. Interior is very cute also

Came here during our family vacation to Banff and enjoyed this wonderful restaurant at Hotel Canoe and Suites. Atmosphere was great and the coffee drinks were splendid as well. Service was very friendly and the experience overall was fantastic. 5 stars and two thumbs up! Thank you!

The flatbread crust was good but really nothing to write home about. Hubby had the double smashed burger which was quite ok! I would get that if I was hungry! Service was just ok.

Came here on the way home from a ski trip leaving banff. Finding parking there is nearly impossible. Not sure if I missed a lot but there's only a small lot on the side. We parked in the back so the walk to the front was a bit long in the cold. The restaurant itself was very nice and spacious. Our server was also nice and funny. He added to the positive experience we had there. We got an omelette and pancakes for sharing and they were both very tasty. I've never had pancakes like this so it was a nice new flavor to experience. We got matcha lattes for some caffeine. I make matcha at home regularly so I had something to compare to. The matcha flavor is not very strong but it tastes good if you're not a matcha critic lol. It's pretty sweet so the maple syrup kind of overpowers the matcha. It was a tasty drink though. I think I would come back here if I visit Banff again. It was a nice experience for all of us.

There are lots of overpriced restaurants in any major tourist town like Banff esp in hotels, but this is not one of them. I had a great tasting double cheeseburger last night, came with a HUGE helping of fries. Pressed patties with crunchy edges, great taste. For breakfast I just ate at the bar with a wonderful matcha latte, almond croissant and butter tart. Wait staff very friendly too.

We ordered to share: Bison carpaccio: 8/10, the large pieces of black salt(?) was overwhelming the bison, but otherwise very unique and worth trying Burrata salad: 100/10, super refreshing and unique palate of thinly ribboned squash covered with tarragon vinaigrette and burrata. Smoked trout doughnut: 8/10, interesting combination of sweet (donut, lemon glaze) and savory (smoked trout, herbed Crème Fraîche, everything bagel seasoning, pickled shallot) Individually: Strip sirloin: I didn't have this one but 10/10 for work of art presentation. Huge piece of steak though. Roasted chicken: 9/10 myself and one other got the chicken. Tender and well seasoned with sweet and spicy harissa honey glaze and chili crisps. It looked like they gave half a whole chicken to her and the other half to me, huge portions. Probably could've been 3 meals. Peyto's ribs: 9/10 had to get it for the touch of maple paprika. Seared ling cod: 9/10 it's the only portion that remotely made sense for a single person and didn't end with leftovers. The dimly lit atmosphere at Brazen is perfect to unwind in after a long day of hiking and exploring. The portions are generous and flavor profile recommendations between appetizers, mains, and drinks well explored. Highly recommend making an advance reservation to try!

Soup Sandwiches to the rescue!!…read more After a day of hiking and exploring in the Mountains, we were tired, sore, and hangry. Noshing throughout the day we were set on a good soup and sandwich combo. We checked multiple locations and either it was high-end foo foo or just more than we want or just worse. It was pub grub and they had one soup and they weren't sure what it was. We found Wild Flour. They offer multiple soups and sandwiches and a few treats. Kathy selected a carrot fennel bowl (massive) and served with fresh bread and butter, I had a meat and cheese grilled cheese on a focaccia bread, Of course we "shar-zies" and the comfort was enjoyed. The team at 630pm was helpful and prompt guided us as we had not eaten at Wild Flour. Good food, reasonably priced for Banff is a find. Go to Wild Flour and enjoy... we did.

We then shared a Waldorf salad, which was refreshing and nice. Then we both selected red wine varietals grown in Canada. I had a Cabernet/Merlot blend which was super great. Would've never guessed it was from Canada. Next, My wife enjoyed a Pinot Noir that was light and complimented our entrée perfectly. Our entrée was the fillet and prawns served over a garlic mashed potato. This is an absolutely extraordinary dish. We shared it and it was just enough for two people. It is a full meal for one person. The filet temperature preparation was perfect. The prawns were extraordinary, and the garlic mashed potato made you curl your toes! Then we closed the evening with the melted chocolate soufflé, which was divine. Here's the one thing that they missed and to me it's an important miss. They use an automated system for taking reservations. And it kept asking for my name to which I said "Chris" and the automated system kept asking me what's your name!? So it asked hey fourth time and in my frustration I got playful and I said "Big Daddy." And it happily received my name and took my reservation. And then asked if there was any special occasion and I said yes my wife and I are celebrating our anniversary. I get that it may not seem normal to say "Big Daddy party for two". So I'll kind of let that pass because neither front door or upstairs Host was willing to ask. But what I don't like that was missed was our anniversary wasn't acknowledged. I was a server for years, and every host gave the server some type of chit or note to let them know if there is a special occasion. We specifically selected a higher end restaurant for anniversary. So somewhere in there, even if you weren't brave enough to say "Big Daddy for two." Someone still should've checked if you were celebrating any special occasion to which we were. Our anniversary. Our server was fabulous. She was super kind helpful and shared about her experience being in Banff. She made us feel great. My overall experience, the Mapleleaf is a great restaurant. But I'm scoring you an A- because you missed our anniversary. and that's why we chose you. So if you're going to use AI, you can't miss special occasions. Chris & Trisha from Long Beach, CA
