    Pineapple fried rice
    Virginia H.

We always eat Thai at least once when we come to PCB and usually go to Oishi's. Came across Sue's. Saw the positive reviews and, of course, had to check it out. Located at the corner of an intersection, it has only outside seatings. The kitchen is inside a small structure and you order at the window. We ordered veggie spring rolls, pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and veggie panang. Employees are nice overall, but not the most detailed. When we asked what kind of veggies are in veggie penang, the man at the window said "all kind of veggies". So that told us nothing, ha. They make the food fresh, so there is a wait. Fresh is always worth the wait though. Overall the food is average at best. Salty all around....and I eat on the salty side already. Despite what the menu description says, spring roll comes in an order of 3 instead of 4. The soy sauce taste is VERY noticeable in all the dishes, significantly covers up any other potential flavor profile. We paid in cash and they charged us a 3% credit card fee. They did refund it when we said something though. In terms of cost, it's not any cheaper just because it's more "fast food" style. In fact, it's a bit more expensive if you compare the ingredients. Pineapple fried rice at Oishi is $16.95 and comes with chicken and several medium-sized shrimps. Pineapple fried rice with chicken is $17 at Sue's. If you want shrimps at Sue's, it's at least a couple of dollars more. Portion is about the same, maybe a little less at Sue's. Overall I was pretty disappointed as I expected more from all the positive reviews. Not sure if they had an "off night" or what? Based on this experience, I definitely would recommend Oishi instead.

I was pleasantly blown away by this! The flavor of everything was incredible, the staff was kind, the atmosphere was cute. Only change would be to add a bit more protein to each dish-- but fantastic overall. We got the gyoza, chicken spring rolls, the drunken noodles (SO good) and the curry. Medium heat was very mild and tolerable so if you like it hotter, go for it.

Excellent/Authentic/prepared fresh when you walk up. Well worth the wait! Food truck appearance but please give it a shot.

    Fried spring rolls

I called in the order my first time coming here were they've actually been open and I was glad I did call in the order because when I was picking it up, they told the customer in front of me. It will be 30 minutes so I got the combination fried rice, which is shrimp, chicken and beef And I got the fried spring rolls. Everything was really good especially love the big shrimp in the rice service is great. There was really no ambience cause I just picked it up at the window like a food truck. If I would do anything differently, I think they should put a bigger thing of the sweet chili sauce for the three good size spring rolls they do a good job. The picture with the fried chicken spring rolls I already had eaten one. There are three in a packet....

Sue's Thai Cafe in Panama City Beach is a an absolute hidden gem-fresh flavorful Thai dishes, reasonably priced. The Som Tam (Green Papaya Salad)? Wow, crisp green papaya, tomatoes, carrots with a sauce made from tangy lime juice, fish sauce and chilies was bright and wonderful. Don't skip the Khao Soi-its a creamy coconut curry soup made with chicken, soft egg noddles and crispy fried noodles on top, it is a pure comfort dish of Northern Thailand and to me probably one of Thailand most under rated and underserved foods in the USA. Only thing missing for me was the traditional pickled mustard green and shallots served on the side, but still screamed authentic Thai. Lastly I tried the Pad Kara Pao Gai, probably one of the mot popular dishes for Thai people to eat in Thailand. This version had sliced chicken usually this is made with ground chicken, pork, duck or beef, with holy basil, garlic, chilies, It's bold, fragrant, with sweet-savory heat served with jasmine rice and a fried egg. Though this dish was not what I am used to getting, it still was a flavorful and delicious, maybe made more for the American palate. Check hours before going, I believe as of this writing open Monday-Saturday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Would recommend, and will be back myself in the future.

My friends and I always look for good thai on vacation and this was no disappointment. Everyone loved their meal and I especially enjoyed the drunken noodles. We got our food quickly and the service was great. This restaurant is outdoor seating but we enjoyed getting to eat outside with the soft lighting and good vibes. Definitely recommend to any thai lovers and food enthusiasts.

The first thing I noticed is that they scaled the menu back which was a blessing. I remember before that you had to read a book to get through the menu before. The new menu has a great variety of items and I didn't miss anything that they might have had before. The restaurant itself is fun. Lots of memorabilia on the walls but not in a claustrophobic way. Tables are nice and clean and the bar is beautiful. Everyone looked like they were having a good time. Our food server was nice, friendly and talked to us like we were regulars (loved that). We started out with drinks and we had the Sangria, and a couple of their signature cocktails that I can't remember the names. All were very refreshing. Food: We started out with quite a few appetizers: Coconut Shrimp: Great big shrimps, coating was perfect but I would use a tad more coconut (IMO). Tuna Dip: Wonderful smokey flavor and tasted really fresh and came with homemade chips. Pimento Dip: Oh my gosh it was delicious. I didn't even want to try this one but one of the people in our party likes pimento, so we did. It was sooooo good. I found out it has 4 different cheeses in it and it also comes with the homemade chips. Onion Rings: These onion rings were in the perfect batter. They were not greasy but they were crunchy and they used great tasting onions. I remember the previous onion rings being so thick and greasy I was so happy with the new version. We also had the Spinach Artichoke Dip and once again it was very tasty. Entrees: Pot Roast: So delicious!!! Tender pot roast and it came on a bed of mashed potatoes and cooked carrots and onions and I think celery. The gravy was delicious and they gave you plenty of it. Steak: It was a pretty big steak and very tender. Hubs gave it a 4 out of a 5. Baked potato was loaded and could have fed a family of 4. Catfish Basket: I had never had catfish before and I nibbled on our friend's entree and it was really really good. I give this place a 5 out of a 5 and we WILL be back.

It's not hidden geographically or in a speakeasy way, but mostly due to its location in Panama City Beach. Surrounded by wild parties, ridiculous tourist attractions and mundanely depressing condo buildings, the Lotus Cafe is a hidden oasis that feels almost out of place. It's such a contrast to everything else around it that one struggles to comprehend being here. The space is huge, with cared for gardens and seating throughout them. The chicken taziki wrap is phenomenal. The coffees are perfect. The juices are invigorating. And, enjoying it all surrounded by plants is a purely spiritual experience. To keep the spirits happy, perhaps skip the quesadilla, as it wasn't the highlight of the meal. People working here are chill, pleasant and caring. Lotus Cafe is a truly special place and even writing this review feels a bit like revealing a well kept secret.

The gardens were my favorite part of the visit. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh breeze and the sounds of the waterfall and birds. We ordered a round of drinks I got their old fashioned which was great! They also have a wagyu tallow inspired old fashioned as well, more on that here in a minute. Staff were super friendly and didn't keep us waiting. Inside seating is rather limited, but they do make up for that with what I'd say is a larger proportion outdoor seating. The tables and seating outside tho are done well and not like cheap patio furniture. The food; so there are a few other sushi/ Asian fusion places in the area but this one is a Strong contender!! The rolls were excellent if you would rather have the more traditional Nigiri or Sashimi they have those options as well. We had the spicy salmon and Mahi machi rolls and they were so delicious that we ordered another round!! Which brings me to the last item as we were too full to try any desert a friend and I did opt for the Wagyu tallow inspired old fashioned. While it was good it just seems to taste like the other original we had ordered. Perhaps there was a mixup or that was the intent, but the price didn't back up the difference which was more expensive. YMMV on that one but something to keep in mind. Bottom line is if you are in the 30A Rosemary beach area and craving sushi with some good vibes do not pass this place up!! We will be coming back!!

We ordered the wagyu beef stir fry which was decent, and slightly on the sweet side. The white rice was very dry. The fried rice was also on the sweet side and the chicken was way over cooked. The peanut noodles was ok, not something that I would recommend. The 2 dishes that I would recommend are the Spicy Seafood that comes with noodles and their Ramen. The broth for the Ramen was very flavorful. The Spicy Seafood dish came with calamari, scallops and shrimp and the sauce was spicy and not overly sweet. The fam also enjoyed their fried cheese cake dessert which I didn't try. Be warned, this is a very expensive Asian restaurant so be prepared to spend some money. Our waiter was great and very attentive. I didn't get to check out the decor inside because we were sat outside which was not ideal because it has a view of the parking lot. But I'm sure it was really nice inside based on the menu price.
