The food is some of the best Chinese food Ive ever had! We got the black pepper chicken and the large fun mei roasted pork. Not only is the food delicious, they give you generous portions and it's well packed. HKB is a pickup only place and I thought I had set my pickup time for later and they were thoughtful enough to call and tell me it was ready. I wish I had photographed it. We are heading back to Atlanta Monday and we already plan on getting some to take home. Keep up the GOOD work!! read more

We have eaten their food for years, and sometimes it's been iffy, but this time I have to say something. I ordered online as usual, but this time the order was incorrect. I ordered Mongolian chicken and received Mongolian beef. The beef was so tough and chewy. My Husband ordered Sesame Chicken and it was also tough and chewy....even the broccoli was too tough to eat. I'm in town visiting my grandmother. I live in Arizona and travel all over the country. This is fantastic Chinese food. It's priced really well. The flavors are fresh and the menu has plenty of choices to suit all types of palates. Good drink choices. I really liked that they had Yuengling on tap. I had the house lo mein and the sesame shrimp. My grandmother had the dynamite shrimp and the house fried rice. I would recommend all of them a hundred times over. My grandmother says that the garlic green beans are so so good but they had just run out of green beans when we had come in. Please ask for them when you visit as my grandmother swears by them. This is a great little family business and everyone is so friendly. It wasn't crowded and we got a great table. Look out for Rose, the very friendly and very attentive waitress. She remembered from last time that my grandmother likes a few ice cubes in her white wine and she checked on us frequently and was absolutely wonderful to talk to. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I hope I get back to Apalachicola soon. I'd love to come here again! Please stop in and see Rose and grab some great food! read more

Need to rework their flavors... Hot and sour soup had zero sour and the Mongolian beef tasted like they added a cup of sugar to help cover up the lack of seasoning. People go to a Chinese restaurant to have Chinese food, not a interpretation of it. Try relying on more flavorful additions as well as fresh ingredients instead of adding MSG and sugar to cover it up. read more

The lunch buffet is a good deal. Food was pretty tasty and there was a lot of variety. Kids buffet is $3.95, worth every penny.

When we first arrived for dinner the restaurant had zero customers and no buffet. I ordered the fried shrimp while my husband ordered the general tso chicken. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time the food finally came out. My husbands food was decent i must say, but as she sat down my plate I noticed right away that the shrimp were not deveined and were very oddly shaped. As I tried to look past this and devein them myself I bit into it and noticed they were horrendously tough. It tasted as though they had let the shrimp sit on the buffet all day then took them up, microwaved them to long, and then served them to us. It was horrible. After telling the waitress about our meal she kindly said, "okay, I'm very sorry ill go ask my boss what we can do." She then went on to the next five tables without asking anyone to help us. After about 20 or more minutes of waiting, my husband had already finished eating and we were ready to leave. Once the waitress finally came back she told us that she could take off the shrimp but we had to pay for the large fry that came with the meal. I would not recommend eating here! read more

Not only is the food well prepared but the owner basically responded affirmatively to every request we made: green onions in soup (who'd want it any other way?) more broccoli added to perfectly prepared sesame chicken -- a plate of steamed broccoli is quickly delivered -- free-of-charge.
