First time here but definitely will not be the last! Atmosphere is great very good vibe we went on a Saturday night and it was packed inside and out so I feel that reservations are a must at least on weekend nights. We ordered a round of drinks I got their old fashioned which was great! They also have a wagyu tallow inspired old fashioned as well, more on that here in a minute. Staff were super friendly and didn't keep us waiting. Inside seating is rather limited, but they do make up for that with what I'd say is a larger proportion outdoor seating. The tables and seating outside tho are done well and not like cheap patio furniture. The food; so there are a few other sushi/ Asian fusion places in the area but this one is a Strong contender!! The rolls were excellent if you would rather have the more traditional Nigiri or Sashimi they have those options as well. We had the spicy salmon and Mahi machi rolls and they were so delicious that we ordered another round!! Which brings me to the last item as we were too full to try any desert a friend and I did opt for the Wagyu tallow inspired old fashioned. While it was good it just seems to taste like the other original we had ordered. Perhaps there was a mixup or that was the intent, but the price didn't back up the difference which was more expensive. YMMV on that one but something to keep in mind. Bottom line is if you are in the 30A Rosemary beach area and craving sushi with some good vibes do not pass this place up!! We will be coming back!! read more

I had a fabulous dinner at Aja. What drew me in was the outdoor patio. Beautiful ambiance, luxe, chic, romantic vibe. I sat at the Sushi Bar and enjoyed watching both Sushi Chefs create their art. With blow torches, and carefully placing caviar on top of tuna. Chef David is so talented! And my server, Katrina, was so attentive and checked on us frequently. Here's what I'd recommend: - Mongolian Beef was 5 stars. Hands down my FAVORITE - Crème Brûlée was 5 stars - Cheesecake was 5 stars - Chicken lettuce wrap - 5 stars. I come here all the time when I'm in town, and I just noticed they are low on stars for some ungodly reason. I've tried all the sushi in town, and there are several good ones, but this one is our favorite. We usually sit at the bar and ask chef to keep the sushi coming until we are full. Although they are able to make anything, I felt that there weren't enough vegetarian options. There were like 3 that I could count on the menu, but no big deal as there probably aren't many vegetarians visiting here. The vida tropical margarita I got was SO delish. The food was very bland and lacked flavor. The sushi seemed like it was even store bought. Food was so overpriced and not only lacked flavor, but was small portion sizes. You don't get quantity or quality at Aja. In terms of the atmosphere, the music was loud and then to make things better, a dj showed up and cranked the music even louder. I recently had a bachelorette dinner here and Aja pulled out all the stops! Special thank you to Armine who set everything up. She was so attentive and made everything gorgeous. There were 11 of us so it was no small task! Armine collected our orders before, made us a gorgeous preset menu and confirmed details a few times. They surprised us with a really cool dragon to hold the sushi, had a champagne toast and a round of shots! Added bonus was the live DJ! Try the Pom martini, you will not be disappointed. First impressions of this place I thought very highly. Outdoor seating, took reservations, music, but I was WRONG. Started off with drinks then it took about 30 minutes to get only one meal which belonged to my friend. Approximately 7 minutes after, all of the food came out. I got beef lo mein and prior to ordering it I asked what was in it. The waitress told me it could be whatever I wanted. I just ordered a basic beef lo mein but with peppers. It costed 40$ for noodles, soy sauce, and 3 tiny pieces of subpar beef. They added on 50 cents for peppers. My other friend got a pork chop and it was also extremely overpriced and hard to cut. It was 50$ for two tiny pieces of meat with minimal vegetables. It was supposed to come with rice however they forgot it. When the waitress finally came back ( she did not check in on us after we received it maybe 15 minutes before) she brought the rice. I did not really enjoy my meal, one friend left hungry, and one thought it was good. Receiving the bill was puzzling as to why there was an excessive amount of added in fees. I would not recommend this restaurant for anyone because of poor quality food and expensive. read more

Nicely designed restaurant with servers who capably put down and pick up dishes (but add nothing more to the experience) and a nice variety of spicy dishes and traditional sushi rolls on the menu. Let me start by saying our server was good, however.... The plates are $30-60 and it tastes like buffet food. The drinks are around $20 and not one was good. Lychee martini tastes like lemon water. Such an amazing dining experience. We sat at the sushi bar which at first I was hesitant, the sushi chefs were amazingly knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered the dumplings which were ok, nothing special. The short ribs were good just fairly spicy for me. All of the sushi rolls and nigiri was extremely fresh and well worth the price. Came for happy hour and it absolutely did not disappoint! We shared every app off the happy hour menu and they were each incredible. We have tried just about every place here in town and this is easily a new favorite. Staff was so kind and sweet and the ambiance was perfect on the patio. The prices were very affordable and I think we will definitely be back tomorrow night to try their dinner menu as well. Aja is above average Chinese fusion for the panhandle but the prices discourage repeat customers. I live locally and love Rosemary. For the same price I could visit any of the 5 star restaurants that aren't in a strip mall. The happy hour menu always looked appealing but the inconvenience of having to sit on the patio near the highway discourages us from taking advantage. It's a good one and done experience if you live here and are just curious why it's so pricey. read more
