This was the worst cleaning service I've ever used. I scheduled a deep cleaning with Sueli, expecting she'd be the one who would clean. She let me know ahead of time she'd send a list of products she prefers using that she wanted me to buy for her. She didn't text me the list until Friday night for the following Sat morning cleaning appointment. She also didn't let me know her rates for a deep cleaning. Based on the great reviews I'd figure she'd be within range of the average cleaning rate for my area.
Sat morning, someone else, Maria, I believe, who spoke very little English, arrives by herself to clean. No big deal we can speak in broken English and Spanish with each other. She was patient in understanding me and helped me with my Spanish. She asked me what was I paying. I said Sueli hadn't discussed that with me I thought she would be here today. Maria calls Sueli to determine the rate. They speak in Spanish, Maria explains to me in broken English what Sueli said. I'm shocked and irritated as it's WAY more than I've ever paid for housecleaning. (And for all I know more than what was actually discussed as I didn't hear their call). But, I don't have time to reschedule with a different company as company was arriving the following day and I had already arranged this appointment well in advance. Right away I feel awful about this company and stuck in a bad situation.
I explained to Maria that I hadn't purchased the supplies, she said she'd try without. I ended up making a last minute run to Target to buy everything, including heavy duty oven cleaner. When I came home she appeared to be working hard on the bathrooms.
I had been clear when scheduling the cleaning what I thought was included in a deep cleaning. Windows, blinds, surfaces, floors including under furniture, upholstery of furniture, oven, fridge. I went over this with Maria, and she said windows would cost extra. I said no. She called Sueli, tells me Sueli said it'd cost $50 more to include the windows. Wtf? It's already double what I've ever paid for anyone to clean!
By the time Maria finishes she walks through the house with me for me to inspect her work. She opens the oven and SHOWS ME DIRTY AREAS that she said she'd "finish cleaning next time." A) what kind of deep cleaning is that if it isn't clean? And B) why did I buy the oven cleaner for you if you're not properly using it? I inspected several surfaces that weren't adequately dusted. Instructed her to use the rag with the Pledge, she obliged. I checked the blinds expecting them to be impeccable since I was paying an outrageous $50 for her to clean them. At that price I'd imagine she would hand wipe each and every blade of the blind. No. The blinds were half clean, at best. They looked awful. I told her, she went back and half assed wiped them again, saying she'd do it again next time. What? I'm paying you $50 for that alone I think you can make the time to do it right today. I complained to Sueli who said she would "come over and have a look later in the week, but that sometimes blinds are old and can't be cleaned." There's nothing wrong with the blinds I have hand cleaned them many times in the past and they look fine - this was completely unacceptable. Sueli never came over.
Lastly, I wiped a clean cloth across the hardwood floors in several areas and picked up enough dirt and dust for the cloth to turn black. This was after she "cleaned."
From start to finish this was the most unsatisfying, overpriced house cleaning job I've ever seen. Beware before using this company. read more
