I had a standard cleaning done with baseboards added. The cleaning itself was 4 stars. There were a couple areas left untouched (entryway table and above the fridge) and a broken candlestick. I understand mistakes happen, but it was not reported, just propped up to hide that it was broken. I reported the issue and a service rep got back to me and ending up giving me a small refund of $40. Despite these issues, I was still planning to give them another try. Fast forwards several weeks, I received a text message about a promo and decided to move forward with booking, with a willingness to commit to several cleanings with this company. I was told that I had been scheduled and confirmed, only for 10 min later to receive another message stating "After reviewing availability and internal guidelines, we're not able to move forward with this promotion." I asked if this was because of my feedback from my initial appointment and received no response. I then decided to try calling and it was at the time I realized that I was blocked. I find this very weird and unprofessional, and thusly would not recommend their services. read more

I've been using BerryClean for many years now. However, the quality of their service has been declining. For the last two cleanings, the second cleaner has always arrived late. Also, for each of the last couple of times, the cleaners have left things behind such as rags and vacuum attachments. The final straw for me was at the last cleaning, where they: - knocked a picture off the wall and weren't going to tell me about it. They left it on the kitchen counter and were already halfway out the door when I noticed. I understand that accidents happen, but when you're not going to tell me about it, then that erodes trust. - asked me to inspect the cleaning job while they were already leaving, all supplies packed up and out the door. So if there were issues, they're not exactly in a place to fix them, are they? They've started to do this regularly. Each time I hope it is better, but the quality has become sloppy and declining, and so I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I just had my first experience with BerryClean. It's been very impressive from start to finish. Many thanks to Carol, Abigail, and Lucia for saving me hours on a job I would have done poorly I needed a deep clean of a long-neglected unit at the back of the property that was being used for storage, sort of like a glorified tool shed to which the outside had started to invade. Getting a quote via text was easy, and they were able to schedule me a few days out. I texted occasionally with questions that came up and they always got back to me within 30 minutes. For the day of the job: they had a cancellation and offered to bump up my appointment, which was great. Carol, Abigail, and Lucia showed up on time and were very friendly. Honestly I was embarrassed to show them the condition of the unit, but they got right to work and are obviously extremely skilled, as this was a very tough job. I was really pleased not only with how thoroughly they cleaned it, but also how efficiently. I also opted for a deep clean of an area rug, which looks very good now. After this experience, I'm planning to hire BerryClean to clean the rest of the rugs, as well as a deep clean of my home when the time comes. I didn't do too much price comparison, but this is really hard work, and the quote seemed fair to me. It's not the type of work you want to cut corners on. Our friends gifted us a housecleaning for Christmas and we had to leave a review ASAP since they came and finished today. We had them come and do a move out clean for us bc our tenant did not clean. They did an ok job . I attached the after pictures. We paid an extra 100 for the walls to be clean but as you can see I will need to go back and clean up. The oven inside was done but as you can see the didn't do the seams or the vent. They wiped down the cabinets but didn't scrub off the dirt. Overall it was surfaced clean and a good start but I will def spend a good 1-2 hours more detailing it and giving it a clean so we can get it move in ready. They started with 1 person but when I stopped in 2 hours later there was only 1 . I think we would have had better results with 2 people for about 5-6 hours. I've used BerryClean several times, particularly for deep cleans for important occasions. They are thorough and always bring multiple cleaners to expedite the job, but still take their time to really do it right. Their cleaners are professional and extremely hardworking. Before they leave, they always ask if we're happy with the job done and have us walk through to make sure nothing was missed or needs more attention. My place is a decent sized 2 bed/bath and rarely do I find something I'd like for them to go over again, but I appreciate that they want to get the job done as well as possible. First time using this housecleaning service - overall was very impressed but here's a breakdown of pros/cons Plus's - The cleaning was incredible - when I returned home the apartment looked like it was sparkling. Definitely professional cleaning. Nothing was skipped or missed over. - Easy booking with plenty of availability each day Cons: - The housecleaner did not speak English (which I was not made aware of in advance) so when she arrived to my building and I was not home and she was having difficulty entering and getting up to my unit she called me but I could not understand what she was saying. She did not speak any English. Thankfully I happened to be with a friend who spoke Spanish and could translate otherwise she likely would not have been able to get to my unit as I couldn't understand what the issue was she was having. Same goes for the instructions I left re cleaning. I left it written on a note which she couldn't read. When she texted me about it she texted in Spanish. I'm not saying that I expect her to speak English but the company should have alerted me of this when I completed the booking so I could've been prepared or requested an English speaker - A lot of my items were moved around (likely while cleaning) and not put back in the same place. Not entirely their fault as I've experienced this with other services but I did request in the "special instructions" to put things back where they were so that I don't have to go through the whole apartment moving everything back into the right place after the cleaning - Price: $200 + tip felt a bit expensive for my small studio apartment. My previous cleaning service was charging me $110 so I could just be out of the loop on what the cost of service is these days. Their price was more affordable then some of the other places I spoke with. Overall, I would book with them again in the future. read more
