I liked their work so much, I just scheduled another cleaning. That's saying a lot. First off, I screwed up making a cleaning appointment, stating a 4 room home, not realizing I only needed to count the bedrooms. (my bad, should have been more careful reading the form). So, I called and a very friendly woman personally filled out the order correctly and even saved me some money. The cleaners came on time, I went to the cafe with a laptop and actually got some work done. Coming home, they were finishing up and I couldn't have been happier. They went the extra mile making the bed and rearranging the living room pillows. So detail oriented, better than I could have done. I talked to the owner about a construction clean about 4. months ago.Connie said they would wash all walls and, cabinets inside and out,floors,light fixtures etc. They did a terrible job did not clean inside all the cabinets and drawers.The floors are still dirty and have foot steps all over them.I had asked if they would vacuum the basement and garage it was not done when they left. Connie was no help she said she has to support what her team said.They said they cleaned and everything was done. I expressed to Adriana, who runs or owns this business, that I needed someone who speaks and reads English. After wasting valuable time relying on the person she recommended, the young girl she sent parked in the red zone in front of our home, left her young son in the car, came in and nodded and smiled at everything I showed her throughout our small house and, then whips out her translation machine because she did not understand a thing I had said and couldn't speak one word of English nor read a word of the organized list I had made to make the job as easy as possible. She left and I never even received a courtesy call from "Adriana" after the "visit" so they are clearly also highly unprofessional on many different levels while charging elite prices. I spent a long time researching cleaning agencies, and Sparkling Clean seemed to have good reviews so I decided to try them. My experience did not match my expectations based on previous reviews. First, the cleaners Eveline & Thiago show up late and angry. They were unfriendly, seemed to be in a bad mood from the start and start immediately complaining about the clutter in our house, while we try to move things out of the way to make it easier for them to clean. We've all been stuck in our house for months after shelter-in-place with 3 kids at home doing distance-learning, so yes, there is clutter, but we're all doing our best under challenging circumstances. I am not sure who else with three kids stuck at home has been able to keep their houses spotless and uncluttered. I was also a little concerned that their face masks kept sliding down, which did not make me feel safe or comfortable as COVID rates are rapidly increasing right now. One of the first things Eveline says to me, upon meeting for the first time is something to the effect of "If you have a problem with me, you need to talk to me directly", in a defensive & combative tone. That was definitely a red flag, as I wasn't anticipating having problems with her until that moment. I don't know if there is some cultural communication gap, but I found it very off-putting and set the tone for a tense and unpleasant vibe. During this COVID pandemic, we have had a lot of extra anxiety and fear about bringing a stranger into the home to help us clean our house. This bad experience with Sparkling Clean Agency, unfortunately, only heightened that anxiety and it will probably be a long time before we get our house professionally cleaned again by anyone. Sparkling Clean Pro provides great service and we would highly recommend them --and especially Glimar Lopez. After moving to SOMA, we tried several cleaners with very mixed results. Once we found Gilmar, it was no worries. He's been our cleaner twice a month for more than a year. He does a great job and doesn't take shortcuts. He's very friendly and positive person, but also quiet and focused on his work. We work from home so it's important that we can do our jobs without distraction or extra conversation. Gilmar always comes in, does his work well and efficiently. We've worked with other services and cleaners, and Gilmar is at the top! read more

I have always been very picky about cleaning agencies, but I was really happy with Sparkling Clean agency! They were really easy to communicate with ahead of time and were able to accommodate a couple schedule changes. Natana & Raoni arrived right on time for my move-in cleaning! They did a quick walk through beforehand with me and did a very thorough cleaning. They were both wearing masks and gloves, and completely disinfected the apartment. I've used Sparkling Clean Pro twice for apartment cleaning and had good experiences both times. Easy to book online - it was no problem to book a next day appointment, even on a weekend. Nice communication via text to let me know the cleaners were available a little earlier than my scheduled time and to verify whether an earlier start would be okay. Paola and Ana did a great job and were finished with my 2 bed/1 bath apartment in about 1.5 hours. The results are great. They were friendly and professional, and wore masks the whole time. It probably would've been a little easier to communicate if I remembered more of my high school Spanish, but we managed without any issues. They even included a couple herbal tea bags with their comment card at the end. Small gesture, but it was so nice to sit and enjoy a mug of tea in my newly cleaned apartment. C ustomer service has been prompt and responsive. The first time I booked a cleaning, I paid an additional fee for refrigerator cleaning, but it wasn't performed. I let the company know and they refunded the extra charge right away. I've used other services that are cheaper but less thorough, and others that are a lot more expensive with comparable results, so I'm happy with the cost/value balance and plan to continue using Sparkling Clean Pro in the future. read more

9/1/2017 Update: Operations Manager Toni reached out and was genuinely interested in hearing about my experience. He was apologetic and completely understanding of my frustration. He wasn't defensive at all nor did he try to justify or make up excuses for the inadequate job. Toni offered to send a couple cleaners to complete the unfinished work- we scheduled a second cleaning for the following day, 8/30. Although I had limited availability, he made sure to fit an appointment in during a time most convenient for me. He wanted everything to be fixed immediately and this just proved to me his dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction and the business of his agency. As for the cleaning... Nubia and Ariana did an amazing job! They could have simply cleaned the neglected shelves, windows, baseboards and other areas, however, they cleaned/arranged/organized anything they could. They even remade our beds and I am in love with how they folded our blankets like roses :-) I was absolutely blown away by their attention to all the little details. I could not be more pleased! I've updated my review to 4 stars because it was inconvenient to have to clean twice for results I was expecting and paid for the first go, but... Toni, Nubia and Ariana deserve 5+++ stars! Thank you so SO much Toni for your correspondence and going above and beyond to fix this for me! And thank you Nubia and Ariana for making my home feel SO clean and loved again! Frustratingly, I keep finding more neglected areas! --------------- This was my first time booking with Sparking Clean Agency and am a little disappointed with the results. So scheduling an appointment through their website was a breeze and super convenient- I actually booked today's cleaning online just yesterday. I added all 3 extra services for my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment (which totaled $306) and requested a specific cleaner based on other reviews here. Easy! After reading the FAQs portion of the website, I wrote out clear instructions regarding target areas for each room. The day before the appointment I made sure to clean up any clutter throughout the house so our cleaner could concentrate on "deep cleaning" areas with more dust and grit. My lady was extremely sweet and friendly and she arrived on time this AM with all of her equipment. We did a brief walk through of the apartment and went over the list of target areas. I requested for the kitchen cabinets to be organized and she said that could be accommodated for an additional $25- no problem! I was under the impression that she understood of all of my wants and needs based on our walk through and given instructions. I came home this evening to find my apartment in cleaner condition, but with many cut corners. I wrote and asked verbally for the baseboards, corners and around all furniture and appliances to be cleaned as I usually miss those. I don't understand why the websites FAQs would mention to give instructions or requests if they weren't going to be addressed. The walk through and written instructions felt like a waste of time and it's frustrating to have paid triple the usual amount for a deeper cleaning that didn't happen.
