I called SuengLee Electric in the morning for a light switch that was not responding... they were very quick to reply to my inquiry. Said the soonest they could be out was in the afternoon... but they called just an hour or so after my inquiry reply and said they were done w/ their job sooner than expected and met me at my house within 15 mins... their rates were affordable, didn't charge extra for coming out right away and didn't charge me any extra for the light switch replacement. Was in and out within 15-20minutes and the job was more than efficient and well done... Great company. My wife and I just bought a house and realized the ceiling fan in the living room was installed improperly. The ceiling fans mount was attached directly to the 2x4 rather than having a universal bracket. To top it off, they tapped into a hot wire and never added a switch to turn of the power. So with without the ceiling remote you'd never be able to turn off the light. Mr. Sueng Lee installed a pendant light where there was no existing wiring for me. The job was complicated and time consuming but he defined what perfection is. He is not just an electrician but an electrician with craftsmanship. He really took his time to make a plan when he first came for an estimate. He is very skillful, courteous, patient, and most of all detail oriented. He even took the time to level the light by adjusting the string length one by one. I had a similar light put up before by someone else and they just told me I could adjust the length myself. He never told me he needed some more parts and would need to charge me more because of it during the job. When I was getting quotes, some electricians told me if they'd have to cut the drywall, they wouldn't patch it. They would refer me to someone else to patch it. Mr. Sueng Lee patched the drywall after he had to cut it for the job. All I need to do is to paint. He not only saved me money but also time. He laid down clean films on the floor to protect the surface before the job. He even cleaned the floor with a broom after he was done. During the whole process, he was very patient. He really took his time to get the job done perfectly. He did not make me feel he was in a rush to get it done so that he could go to his next. The price was also unbelievably reasonable. I called SuengLee electric after a power outage that took out several rooms in our house. They were able to come out same day to look into the problem. Although they weren't able to figure out what caused the outage, they spent several hours troubleshooting, and were at least able to get our AC running again, by adding an extra line direct to the main panel. They were able to at least get us back to being comfortable, and I think they went well above what many other electricians would do (I've called several others to try to fix the wiring problem, and most just wanted to charge a fee just to come out and look at the problem) for a very reasonable price. Absolutely the best. Came in quickly, were super efficient. The quote ended up being a bit low - but that was because we had to re-route entire walls of electric, in a full-house complete rewire with completely new lighting and outlets. They were completely fair with any add-on, any issues, super efficient in their work, and confirmed everything with me as we went. He came and changed out a couple circuit breaker for a couple outlets that did not work. Took him 2 visits to ensure that they worked properly. They went out again last week. Called him and his translator said they would need $100 for them to come back out. I asked him why since those outlets were the ones I asked for repair. He said I shorted him $50 on the check (which I was unaware of ). We went back and forth about why he did not tell me so i can make it right. They responded back with they changed out the circuit breaker and one outlet. The would have to be paid to come out again to checkout. Told the forget it. Pretty disappointed, trying to give a small business so work and all he did was replace a couple circuit breaker and a couple outlet for close to $600. And, the outlets do not work again. Seemed very money hungry, now will have to find another electrician to do the same job and I am out money. Be careful using these guys. They seem to want to upcharge . read more

Huge props to Sueng and his business partner/ translator. The basics were all covered - they gave us a quote, set an appointment, showed up on time, both wore masks, and got the work done. Originally they thought the work would take 1.5 days (installing an EV charger in the garage and installing 2 new outlets in two bathrooms), but they got it done in just under 6 hours.  Installing the new outlets involved cutting a section of wall off in 2 of our bedrooms. They were careful to lay down a carpet protector, assured us they would patch the wall back up (which they did), and had everything cleaned up at the end. There were a few pencil marks left on the wall, but nothing that we can't clean up ourselves. We also got to work out a price that was reasonable to both parties.  Thank you so much Sueng! They gave me a "free estimate" of $300 to see whats wrong with my outlet. I verified a second time. So that's $300 per outlet to fix and find out what is wrong with it - again $300 per outlet. I told them it was fine, because I just want it fix. They spend two hours checking different outlets and even went up the attic. In conclusion, they couldn't fix what was wrong with it and didn't charge me nothing. Told me to call different electricians maybe they have better luck. Im disappointed of what happened. I saw all the positive reviews on Yelp and they were local so I called them.They came out to evaluate the job on hand for my outdoor pergola and garage for lights, outlets and a fan all aspects of the job were discussed and we would receive an estimate via email in a couple of days 3 days passed without receiving an estimate and texted them if they had sent the estimate and received a call and text back immediately that they would send it in 2 days but never received it. Friendly and professional, Sueng Lee was not the most budget conscious choice, but he was definitely the right one for our project. I had multiple electrical installs ranging from non-compliant exterior flood lights, replacement of GFCI outlets, to adding new indoor electrical outlets, to updating old fixtures in our home. I received 4 different quotes from 4 different companies, Sueng Lee was not the most expensive, nor was he the cheapest. His estimate was in the high middle and I ultimately chose him because he is licensed (look up his contractor license, it is valid, also bonded and insured), he arrived on time, and I received an email quote that very evening. You definitely do not want to mess with unlicensed contractors, especially when it comes to upgrading electrical work for your home. I have heard of many crazy horror stories where unlicensed electricians replaced old fixtures for dirt cheap, ended up short-circuiting other outlets, and was nowhere to be found after receiving payment. If you think hiring a professional is expensive, try hiring an amateur. Do yourself a favor and budget accordingly for high-quality, licensed service professionals. Sueng Lee and his partner Teddy (also his translator) arrived on time, followed Covid safety precautions, wore masks the entire visit (both indoors and out), and bonus points for respectfully removing their shoes upon arriving in my Asian household. I was on a search for a professional electrician to install a charging unit for my Tesla. I reached out to multiple companies, and SuengLEE responded quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. A few days after they came and installed the unit. They did an extremely great work, my panel was a bit tricky because it was nearly full, but Sueng was able to configure a solution that does not require a panel upgrade. Amazing amazing amazing. Mr. Lee came with his apprentice/translator and both were very nice, professional, patient, and gave me a quick lesson on power management. A breaker blew out so I got quotes via Yelp, even had a few electricians come out for estimates. No one can beat Mr. Lee. I was a little suspicious but relied on the other great Yelp reviews on him. Its all true. Also, others wanted to charge me thousands to replace the entire panel or create a sub panel but Mr. Lee was honest and said that was not necessary. SuengLee has recently done some electrical work at my house for L2 EV charger installation. They removed the old electric panel and installed a new one with proper grounding that can support the new 200Amp smart meter. As part of the work they also added a submeter for EV charger that I can put under TOU rate and run the cable to the garage to make a NEMA14-60 outlet. On top of that they also helped to mount a Chargepoint unit at the wall and patch the stucco wall around the new electric panel. The work took longer than expected since they had to do some revisions to comply with city inspections. They did the work clean and neat as you can see from the picture. read more
