Today my mom and I decided to try Shawarma Lebanese Restaurant. My mom has eaten here before and said it was a pretty decent shawarma spot, so we ordered six shawarmas five chicken and two beef/lamb. I was hoping they had a lamb-only option, but most places don't, so I stuck with chicken. The woman at the register was very sweet, and she took our order perfectly. Service was quick, and we asked for extra pickles, extra turnips, spicy sauce, and garlic sauce on the side. My mom was disappointed with her wrap because she felt it didn't have enough meat. We also added french fries inside all the shawarmas. I didn't try the beef/lamb ones, but here's my review of the chicken shawarma: They definitely added a lot of pickles like I asked, and the fries were a nice touch. However, the chicken shawarma had a strange smell and taste. It was dry, and every bite had this odd combination of fishy and grilled flavors that made it hard for me to continue eating. I couldn't finish it because both the smell and taste were off. On a better note, I did try their desserts. I ordered one piece of kanafa, and it was very sweet and tasty my only critique is that I wish it were a bit crispier. We also tried another dessert, a white dough pastry filled with sweet filling and topped with pistachios. It was good, but extremely sweet, and not something I personally loved. Also, $10 for one small piece of kanafa feels very pricey. Overall, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was incredibly nice. Unfortunately, the food just didn't work for me, so I don't think I would return.

Highly recommend when going for a quick bite like us or if you want to stay long enough lol. We rented close by for a concert and went here twice. It was soo delicious and fresh. Service was really nice and was able to sit outside with our new puppy.

Pretty good food! I work down the street and heard great things about this place. We sat down and waited for our food. The service was good, the waitress was nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean and had ample seating. The food had great flavor. The kibbeth was delicious. Only downside is that it looks like a place where you should be able to order and sit but they want you to order at the table in order to Charge a minimum of 18% tip. I would order out next time since I was on lunch anyway.

Lunch time. The inviting clean environment. Low middle eastern music playing in the background. And a warm smile waiting to great you. Service was quick when placing order and food came out quick and hot. Tried the gyro and it didn't not disappoint. Also had thier baklava which was flaky and tasty . I do wish the server realized we were on our lunch break as wr had to flag her down for the check but other than that a great experience. Also the fries were really crispy

Shawarmaz in Miramar is one of those spots you almost want to keep to yourself. The food is consistently flavorful and fresh, with the shawarma plates striking a perfect balance of seasoning, tenderness, and portion size. Everything we ordered came out well-prepared, and you can tell there's real care behind the kitchen.

We've come back to shawarmaz a couple more times since the last review but I had to give an update! Each time we go it's fantastic food and great service! I tried the mixed shawarma sandwich this time and it was so delicious. I've gotten the kebab meat sandwich before but I prefer the shawarma but both are good. We also got the mixed grilled plate for 1. It came with a delicious side salad, fries, pita + spicy pita on top, chicken/beef/kafta kabob, grilled veggies and rice. It was a huge amount of food making it so worth it for the price. Also, the mint tea is my favorite! We love the food here because it's super flavorful and it also feels very clean. Also huge shout out to our server, Valery! She was so attentive and helpful and recommended us trying the mixed grill plate which I know we'll order again!

I was scrolling through Yelp to find restaurants I haven't been to yet near my house. I came across Shawarmaz and saw the great reviews so I knew it was a must try. This is a Mediterranean/Lebanese style restaurant. They are located just east of I-75 off of Miramar Parkway. Very easy to get to. There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu, but I opted for Kebbeh for the appetizer and the Shawarmaz chicken lunch special platter. The platter came with chicken, rice, potatoes, salad, hummus, and garlic sauce. I was so happy that everything on my plate was so delicious including the appetizer. So good. The chicken was cooked just right and went great with the rice. The hummus was delicious as well and the potatoes were perfect. The garlic sauce tasted good with everything on the plate. So happy. The portions are big so it was nice to have leftovers for the next day. Friendly service with a smile which I always appreciate. Plenty of parking since they are located in a shopping plaza. I will definitely be back.

Food & service was great! Love the sign decor! Best kibbeh I've ever had and big portion sizes for a decent price. Got a sampler appetizer & mixed grill platter.

Wow, I really enjoyed Shawarmaz. I was craving some beef shawarma & so a beef shawarma wrap became the first half of my order. I added on a side of fried eggplant, which apparently they don't normally offer as a side. The plate arrived, & it was delicious. The eggplant was perfectly caramelized & honestly tasted just like fried plantains at a Cuban restaurant, lol. The wrap was excellent as well. It was grilled in a tasty flatbread. The beef was seasoned nicely. The wrap also contained lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, & a secret sauce. The sauce pulled it all together & was mighty tasty. My only recommendation would be to go lighter on the salt content of the sauce. As I ate, I was very aware of how crazy salty the sauce was. Now it's an hour later & I can't drink enough water, lol.

Shawarmaz is a great spot for Mediterranean Lebanese food in Miramar! They are located really close to one of my go-to nail spots (Lavish Nails) near the Monarch Lakes Publix. I didn't even know this place existed but after a quick search on Yelp for a healthier option for lunch, my partner found Shawarmaz! We came here for a quick lunch pick up and were greeting warmly by the staff. Definitely a hidden gem, there weren't much people eating here a bit after lunch time. We ended up ordering from the dinner menu the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches. They come on pita bread but if you want it on the authentic, thinner bread, it's a $1 more. I ended up trying the upcharge bread and it was honestly so close to being the same as the pita, it wasn't worth the dollar upcharge. The sandwiches are some of the cheaper items on the menu going currently for about $10.99 & $11.99 and it is actually pretty pricey for just the sandwich. If it came with a side of fries, even if it was a small serving, I think it'd be more worth the price. Other than the price, the taste of the actual sandwich was great! A good healthier option for those looking for some in the area. I may come back and try to share the platter with someone because their food was good but want to make it more affordable with a sharing option.

Shawarmaz is a Lebanese restaurant in Miramar that offers both counter take-out and table dine-in service. It is located in a busy strip mall in Miramar where Miramar Parkway Ave SW 145th Avenue intersect. While the strip mall is busy, parking is always available. The restaurant is clean, if a little dated, with ample seating available (there is a sign when you enter to seat yourself; there is no host). The tables are far enough apart that the noise level is low to moderate, even when the restaurant has larger parties. I have been to Shawarmaz several times for lunch during the work week, but this review is for a Tuesday afternoon lunch in January 2025. Shawarmaz has separate lunch and dinner menus. For lunch, the prices are slightly on the higher side, especially if you order a platter instead of a sandwich, and if you also account for tip. I usually order the mixed meat shawarma sandwich for lunch, which does not come with any sides unless you make it into a combo. It is one of the best shawarma sandwiches I have had in south Florida; it is not overly saucy, holds its shape well, and is not overpowered by any one ingredient. This time I ordered the mixed meat lunch platter, which includes pita, hummus and garlic sauce, potatoes, and rice. The platter was very filling and nicely presented. The two areas where I think Shawarmaz can improve are the drinks and the service. While service is often quick, sometimes it can take longer than it should to get a bill at the end of the meal. For drinks, I usually get the Moroccan tea, but this time I got the Iran (yogurt drink). The moroccan tea is typically served as a glass with a tea bag, without much presentation; I'm used to moroccan tea typically being poured from a pot using looseleaf tea. Overall this place is great for lunch if you have a longer work lunch and are looking for table service, or if you're looking for a great shawarma sandwich. The ambience is a little casual for a nice dinner.

It was my first time attending to this shawarmaz place and it was surprising there was a lot of food for the price. We ordered the grilled mix, so we can try couple of different proteins. All of the proteins was cooked perfect. It wasn't too dry. The waitress was very attentive. I would come back and try different type of food.

Very happy to discover a new shawarma place located in miramar west. And I appreciate that the meat is halal. We went at a very busy time during the sun set when it was time to break fast for many. There was many families in there from many different cultures. Staff was very kind, the owner was very nice to come check on every table and even offered us dates to break our fast. Those dates were juicy and fresh! Then menu has something for anyone to try and we decided to do the sushi boat for 2. Which isn't sushi but it's the shawarma chopped up like sushi pieces and it comes with bunch of freshly made French fries and there home made garlic sauce and hummus. So much flavor packed into a wrap, everything was delicious even the French fries were perfect. I was very happy to see all the cultures enjoying there time here. Will be coming back soon!

I grew up with Lebanese neighbors and also restaurants around and I have to say that since I've been in this country (different state) I haven't been able to had a almond rice with chicken like the one I had home: I actually cried a little! (Tears of joy, of course!). I started with a Tabbouleh salad (so fresh!) and kibbehs (perfectly cooked). For my protein I had the chicken Taouk- not dried at all, so flavorful! And the Lebanese chicken almond rice that was just exactly how it's supposed to be! Of course I couldn't finish all that food but I had to get some dessert and the Baklava is my fav, here they serve it with pistachio rolled ice cream. Oh boy was I full! It was worth every penny. This place did more than delivery a great meal: they took me back to my childhood. The tables, chairs, decor and music were on point and they take care of their customers in a timely manner, very efficient. I recommend. Can't wait to come back!

It's not fancy, it's not flashy -- and honestly, that's part of the charm. You order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring your food out when it's ready. Easy. No drama. Just good food. My in-laws shared the Mediterranean sampler (which disappeared quickly), I ordered the chicken shawarma with rice, hummus, and warm pita, and my husband went for the beef shawarma with rice and baba ghanoush. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I even left with enough for lunch the next day -- and that never makes me mad. If you're looking for white tablecloths, this isn't your place. If you're looking for solid Mediterranean food at the right price with portions that don't leave you hungry, this is it. They gave well sized portions and the flavor and quality of the food surpassed my expectations. Everything was top notch and everyone enjoyed the food immensely. My only reason for giving 4 stars is ambiance. The place could use new furniture and maybe a brighter, lighter aesthetic. It was painted with black and the restrooms were a little dingy and outdated. I don't say this in a mean way, as I understand they are a small business and may not have the money right now to make renovations or cosmetic improvements, but just as a heads up. Overall, this place is awesome and I will definitely return!

I was also looking for a couple of specific things that I haven't been able to find since Caspian Grill closed. The store was pretty much what I expected. A few aisles of shelves stacked to the top with a variety of items. Let's face it. Middle East is a large area with many countries, each with its own unique spices and dishes, and so it is a huge undertaking to try and satisfy everyone, but for the most part, they succeeded. Given the people who were shopping there at the time, I would say that the authenticity of the store was greatly appreciated. I ended up not finding the Persian items I was looking for, but that's ok, instead I got a Turkish item. They also serve food at the store, which is nice because after walking along the aisles of food items, you start craving a Middle Eastern treat. I saw a vertically roasted meat and I knew what I wanted, but i didn't see a menu and when I was asked what I wanted, I wasn't sure if they were serving Gyro, Doner, or Shawarma, and not wanting to offend anyone, I asked for a meat wrap. It worked and I ended up with a Shawarma, which made the whole experience worthwhile.

Lira Beirut celebrates this through its food, decor and service. The whole vibe of the place seems extracted from a cool corner of Beirut with beautiful retro-cool artwork that is colorful, happy and sophisticated. From graphic prints, to black and white photos and architectural studies, it gives you a sense of a culture that takes the best of the middle east and cosmopolitan worlds. That sets the stage for the food served here. This is not a watered-down shawarma spot to pacify over-served revelers. It's a place to meet real foodie friends who appreciate authenticity and carefully prepared dishes in an elevated way. I haven't had a chance to go to the Middle East, but I can tell from the deft use of spices, heat and technique that their intention is to share the best from their food memory of the old country. I've gone on a few occasion and really enjoyed the fattoush salad, the labneh mtwame, the muhammara, the chicken shawarma plate and the kafta. Many of the dishes come with the crispiest, most addictive fries I've had, gorgeous savory rice and a heap of fresh, fragrant herbs. Even the wine list is pretty nice, and I've had the well priced Sauvignon Blanc and the Pouilly Fuisse. I wished the location were better for us and for them. It could use a more visible location where nice traffic goes by it. Since it's at the edge of Wynwood where it borders with the slowly gentrifying Overtown, it could take a while before its riches are recognized. I can't wait to go back for happy hour again, and I long to see the day when this becomes an awesome neighborhood hangout as they build more apartment buildings in the area that can house people who will appreciate all that Lira Beirut offers.
