Absolutely delicious food for absolutely amazing prices. Izgara is that hidden gem in the rough of the south Florida restaurant scene. A very unassuming restaurant in a small shopping plaza where the falafels are fresh and delicate and the hummus is world class. The service was a little understaffed so there were a lot of tables but not enough people to keep track of everything. But the kitchen was still able to bring out the food within 20 minutes of sitting down. The only part of the food that could have been better were the fries that were a bit soggy and the pita that was store bought but besides that everything else was phenomenal.

I might have just picked the worst item on the menu. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their lunches. I got a chicken (dark meat) stir fried with onion and bell pepper. Too much onion, not enough chicken. The sweet potato fries were both overcooked and soggy. I enjoyed the hummus, but too much of it, the portions were just off.

We are regular customers at Izgara, Izgara makes the best Mediterranean food in the area, every dish was absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and the design is beautiful and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktail bar and Israeli wines are amazing. We received excellent service and it is noticeable that the food is made with love. Chef Jamie knows how to take Mediterranean cuisine to the next level. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back again and again.

The food is beyond good. Fabulous fantastic and filled with flavor. I have never been disappointed in this place. The complementary hot drink after the best hummus ever made is the cherry on top. Best of the best.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really felt transported to the Mediterranean when I stepped inside this restaurant. The ambiance was calm and wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were authentic decorative artwork on the walls. Their dishware was also beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has something for meat eaters and non meat eaters. The staff was very friendly especially the woman behind the counter. My daughter and I dined here for our weekly lunch outing. This was a first time for both of us coming here. We had a great meal and would definitely come back. We chose to share two sampler plates. The Hummus Mix which was 4 bowls with 3 Falafels, Israeli Salad, Hummus, and Baba Ganoush. We also shares the Pita Sandwich trio which included 3 half pita filled with Chicken, Falafel, and Beef Kabob. The beef kabob pita was our favorite and we loved the babaganoush. Overall everything was so tasty and it was a very nice meal. I will definitely return again.

Superb, had a chicken Cesar to start then the lamb kabobs entree, babaganoush... chefs kiss Had their tea service while I waited, everything was quality, everything was cooked fresh. Handmade and delicious, I've been here before and will be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's dark and sexy inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], I came in for lunch but would be back for dinner or a quick bite. They also have great wine selection.

Went to Izgara for a nice father/daughter Valentine's Day lunch on Thursday. I have not dined here in a while but I am glad to say that the food is as delicious as I remember. Our server was very polite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it is quiet and quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is prepared with a lot of love and the ingredients and including the spices taste fresh. I ordered the hot mint tea (sweetened) it had the perfect amount of sugar. I also had a side salad that had a fresh lemon flavored dressing, cheese and tomatoes. For my main course I had the chicken shawarma and vegetables. Another thing that is great about this restaurant is that the food makes you full without feeling overstuffed. It's a great place if you are looking to eat something light and healthy that is also flavorful for lunch or dinner.

TL;DR delicious salmon, excellent portions, friendly service, easy parking We dined here on a quiet afternoon. The salmon was the best we've ever had. We got the salmon platter that came with hummus, pita bread, salad and rice or fries. The platter was huge and the food was so tasty. The fried onions are amazing. Our server was Yasmeen & she was kind and knowledgeable. She seemed maybe new as there was a guy accompanying her whenever she came to our table. But she did fine & answered our questions. The prices are great, considering the size of the portions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice. Good decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is lots of free parking.

Consistently delicious, authentic, and great prices for the amount of food you get. I always get it take out and the food is always super fresh and so so good! I have even put special requests in the comments for my takeout food before and they accommodate-- which is hard to come by now a days.. love this place!

Izgara is nestled in the Turtle Run shopping center and a quaint little restaurant. For only having one person working, they were super efficient even as more and more people came into the restaurant. We started with the falafel which was amazing. Tiny bits of jalapeño really elevated them. The chicken shawarma sandwich was also really good though the integrity of the pita was quickly compromised and it ended up being more of a fork meal than I expected. The chicken was still really tender and the sauces, especially their tahini, was great!

My favorite place by farrrrrrrr. Amazing food BIG plates always fresh and delicious. Definitely one of the best places here.

I have had Izgara on my list for a while but to be honest the little plaza it is in gives me stress getting in and out. However I kept seeing such positive reviews on Facebook that I had to suck it up and give them a try. My husband and I shared a lentil soup. It was so good. The best thing about Mediterranean restaurants is that depending on what region they are from, the food is different and this lentil soup was delicious! I had the grilled salmon salad. It was HUGE! The salad was basically Israeli salad, feta and lettuce. I could have done within the potato sticks...in house they were a nice crunch, but I took home the leftovers and they did get a little soggy...while the rest of the salad was still amazing 2 days later. The salmon was perfectly cooked. I feel the onions need like 12 stars! I could have eaten a whole bowl of that alone. Everything was so tasty. My husband had the lamb platter with sweet potato fries. He said it was very good. The dish comes with hummus and he hates it so he asked for it on a separate dish. Lucky for me! I love hummus and it was delicious. We had baklava for dessert. It was a free dessert with Yelp check in. I wish I could have said I loved it but I didn't. It was the only part of the meal that was underwhelming. It was dry and just...not great. Trust me, this one thing won't stop me from returning. The meal was very good. Soda is served in a can. It's definitely a downer. It also won't keep me from returning. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean & the tables are nicely spaced. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What I enjoyed most about this place was the atmosphere - the decor, the music, the plates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But of course we have to talk about the food, right?! I had a falafel combination plate, which came with 6 delicious falafel, a hefty serving of creamy hummus, Israeli salad, and fries (you can choose rice, fries or sweet potato fries) as well as a whole pita. The hummus was yummy, but I found that it could have used a little more lemon and garlic. The salad was delicious too. My father had a goat kebab combination plate - which he found the lamb too spicy for his palate. To close the meal we ordered two pieces of baklava, which was not very good unfortunately. We both left full with leftovers, which I look forward to enjoying for lunch tomorrow.

Delish slice of baklava for dessert, like my grandma used to make.

I wish I had more pictures, but I usually dive in before I can snap them. Everything we've tried has been incredible, but I'll name a few personal favorites. The corn ribs - I don't know what they do to this corn, but we literally fight over these at the table. They have a sour tang to the spice and an addictive roasted flavor, and are perfect with the garlic sauce. The hummus - theirs is nutty and earthy with a smooth texture and served with chickpeas and garlic on top. It's a great starter too with the pita! The gyro - they actually use lamb for theirs, which is a huge plus for me since I can't eat the beef/lamb blend at most other places. The balance of fillings is perfect and the flavor is spot on here. The mint lemonade - so refreshing and not too sweet. I think about this stuff every time it's hot out and wish I had some. I order it every time I visit. The restaurant itself has more seating than you'd think, and offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can unwind. The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

We started with batata harra and cheese bulak. Both were great! The potatoes in the batata harra were very well seasoned and flavorful. The cheese bulak was good but might be a little off putting if your not use to mintiness in your cheese. A belly dancer came out and went around to all the tables and really engaged with everyone. For our entrees we got chicken tagine and lamb chops. I must say the lamb chops were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I definitely recommend getting them medium. All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!
