i don't know why they changed the name guys! snow bowl does not hit. it sounds a little elementary…read more mandro teahouse on the other hand...elegant, alluring, siren. HAHA i'm just kidding both of the names suck. petition to change it to bingsu blast bam bam bam bingsu is still on top. this is crazy. it has survived a name change, sticky tables, impatient customers, turtle-like workflow...STILL BOMB! get the mango it will never disappoint you. fluffy, creamy, refreshing goodness. it hits. especially when you're sweating your hairline off. i like to go out with friends and complain about men over some mango bingsu! i have also tried the injeolmi one which was okay. honestly as an asian i just prefer mango but if you're feeling like dora the explorer get whatever te gusta. also mango sago is not bad, not many mango pieces though. still trying to find good mango sago in the bay! overall YUM. don't get mad at the workers please even if you're hot and bothered, i assure you they are double hot and bothered and also sweating their nosehairs off. come get some bingsu and die after 5 bites because you ate too quick and got brain freeze! maybe that should be their new name...brain freeze

I love coming here for a kinako kakigori, both the food and the service is refreshing and calming…read more Kamurocho is a small shop and the ambiance reminds me of small town shops in Japan. Their coffee drinks are strong enough to wake up Snorlax! The cost is relative to its location, so be mindful that the South Bay and the peninsula may have more economic and competitive pricing.

Tri Valley temps were hitting almost 100 so wanted something to cool down. Found this highly rated…read moreplace on yelp. They sell a ham & cheese croissant, coffees, teas, lattes, and four flavors of Japanese shaved ice called kakigori, which is the star of the show. The texture of this shaved ice is like fluffy cool softness that melts in your mouth. It is different than the traditional shaved ice and it is far from a snow cone. We ordered mango and kinako (a roasted soybean flour commonly mixed with sugar). These are large desserts! It takes time to make them since there are fresh ingredients inside. The mango was superb with little bits of fresh mango buried inside the ice. Not sickeningly sweet like the syrups most places use. My husband's had little mochi pieces mixed inside. It is common to add kinako to mochi so this was a bonus and a nice surprise. The kinako dessert was sweeter than the mango. Please know that there seems to be no a/c in this little shop but she has fans going. We went in the late afternoon so it was really uncomfortable inside. I had to leave and wait outside until the dessert was ready. It's hard to take these home as it melts fast so we sat inside to enjoy them. It was like heaven in my mouth and it cooled me down instantly. You must be patient as it takes at least 10-15 minutes for her to prepare the desserts but it is worth the wait! There is a small parking lot right in front shared with other businesses. Located right off the freeway behind Burger King.

Very vibrant inside, with a lot of colorful decor, and super clean. There were a few customers inside on a warm Sunday afternoon. Didn't see a menu, but I already knew that I wanted to try their paletas since it was my first time here. Picked mango chamoy and strawberries and cream. They were tasty but overpriced - 2 for $8. Apparently the owner makes all the paletas and ice creams in house, which I thought was really cool. They also have agua fresca and food items, such as tortas. I did want to try their mangonada but didn't have room in my belly so maybe next time.

Don Gaspacho Paleteria is such a gem! The place is super colorful, clean, and just really cute…read more I met Raul, who was so friendly and took the time to explain everything and let me sample a few flavors--vanilla, rose, strawberry, lime, and one more I can't remember, but every single one was a flavor I'd for sure order. The paletas were very light and fresh tasting, not heavy at all. I ended up getting the strawberry, and WOW--it was like eating a frozen strawberry sorbet in ice cream form. So refreshing and bomb Definitely adding this spot to my go-to list for ice cream. They also had tortas and those fresh fruit drinks with tajín and chamoy, which looked amazing. I'm 100% trying those next time. Highly recommend!
