One of the best trucks in Hayward. Welcoming and friendly staff. This was our first time stopping by and we did not regret it! The carne asada tacos and carne asada torta were hella good. The carne was grilled to perfection and flavorful. They have a seating area that is covered so we decided to sit and eat while everything was hot and fresh. It's located on the side of a busy street, but there is plenty of parking on the side of the road across from the truck and the auto shop. I was excited to try this spot given the high reviews. Maybe we came at an off day but the items we ordered fell short on our expectations. The workers were super friendly and gave recommendations. I got the carnitas plate which came with rice/beans, a couple tacos, and a burrito (believe it was carne asada). The carnitas were almost dry, and lacked flavor. The beans on the plate tasted watered down, and the rice also fell flat. I was pretty disappointed in my $20 plate. The carne asada and al pastor on the tacos also lacked flavor, and I left feeling disappointed. The burrito was also OK, out of everything we ordered it was the only decent item. I wanted to like this spot but the flavors and taste were not there for us. Given several taco spots around the area, we probably have to pass on this one next time. read more

Tacos El Poblanito is a food truck sans cab in an auto body truck parking lot. it is situated just before an elevated railroad track and a few blocks from mission blvd. some tables for dining on site. gusts of wind makes dining adventurous and cooling. offerings: plates, tacos, sopes, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, flautas, pambazo, nachos, steak fries, cemitas poblanos, drinks... eats: sopes with lengua (7) -"fried masa topped with choice of meat, frijoles, quezo, sour cream, lettuce, onions, and salsa"... -sope was too big to be eaten while hand held, it fell apart easily, had to laid flat, cut by sections with knife and eaten piecemeal. -overall, it felt cool by touch, the masa was covered with room temperature ingredients. lengua was plentiful, moist not juicy. overall, it was satisfying comfort food. pambazos (10) -"pambazo bread dipped in red pepper sauce filled with potatoes, chorizo, salsa verde, lettuce, sour cream, cheese".. -this rendition wasn't soaked in chili oils like another version, literally not as hot nor as messy to eat. similar to a torta, it's the main allure is the chili hotness. addictiveness cools when the bread temperature cools. 4.5 stars. though prices have increased since they've opened. it's still a great value. most Mex. eats here aren't easily found elsewhere. take outs: -for reasons stated, not practical to take these items to go. winds a slight negative. -$1 surcharge for using credit card or debit card. notice posted by window. -free individually wrapped candy self serve at counter. -street parking nearby. read more

Absolutely loved Omar and his team! We recently hired them for a party, they were prompt on time, they provided their own plates, they offered 2 drinks in addition to an array of delicious tacos, and even had a garbage can next to their truck which we didn't have to provide. I loved the attention to detail, loved the cleanliness, professionalism, customer service and most importantly, loved the food. Our guests said their tacos were excellent, and couldn't get enough. These guys are amazing! I started coming here for their burritos. Flavor of the meat, the sauce, and portion size is everything when it comes to Mexican food, imo. Their burritos are fat and absolutely delicious. Sauce is spicy but so good! I was planning my wedding and wanted a taquero so I had the idea to call and see if they do events. Omar was all in. Omar and his team were very professional and personable. They killed it at the event. They had Al pastor, Carne asada and pollo. All 3 meats were delicious. The 2 sauces were perfect.
