Food was horrible and over priced. I ordered veggie tacos. They were smaller than a street taco, and literally came with two teaspoons of refied beans that came out of a can. The Spanish rice was definitely the kind you get at the grocery store that comes in a bag and you just microwave it for 2 min. Yuk. One margarita called pretty in pink was $20, and was supposed to "change colors before your eyes". I asked the waiter how I make it change colors and he said oh I should have told you we ran out of the stuff to make it change colors. Their poor reviews seem to be stacking up as you can see. I actually didn't get a chance to visit this restaurant. I made a reservation for 8 at 430 pm. OpenTable showed reservations later in the evening starting at 730 but we wanted to eat earlier. I get a call from the restaurant to confirm my reservation at 2:48 pm. I'm told the restaurant closes at 5 pm for the holiday. At 315 pm, they call back and say that the kitchen will close at 430 and they can't accommodate us. I advise her that OpenTable shows availability. She said corporate has to change it, they can't. That's it. Im left with finding a place for 8 1 hour and 15 mins before. I'm not so concerned but what was concerning was that there was Zero apology and Zero accountability. They have zero concern for their guests and care less. Went there on Monday (drove from scottsdale just to come here) and they were closed with no warning. No sign on the door and nothing but some sort of bundle of wire holding the door shut. (There was a giant gap, we could see inside the entire restaurant. Everything was set up but there wasn't a soul in sight) we hung out in the area afterwards and what we gathered from asking around, they didn't pay their staff (when they do have staff) and the management there was always extremely poor and not up to what I'd say the "Vegas standard" this place claims to bring. Only ordered a piece of cheesecake and 15 minutes later recieved a slice that was frozen solid. My review is based on the management. The outside is fun and inviting with large lollies and pink trees. But when you walk in it feels like it is a haphazardly put together pop-up. We made reservations and had to wait because there was no one at the hostess stand to greet us. The menu was huge and we checked it out before we came and were all looking forward to a good lunch with fun drinks. But . . . That was not the case. We were told about everything they were out of, avocados, bacon, chicken, lemonade, Dr. Pepper , carnitas, birria, pink cotton candy for the "Pretty in Pink " drink my girls wanted, and the rubber ducks that come with rainbow sliders. The food that we did get had potential but lots of corners were cut, the turkey for the Club was like that of Subway and the sliders were just burgers cut in 1/4's that didn't fit the bun. Now for some GOOD. Our server Chris was great. They were horribly understaffed but he did really well considering everything. We felt so sorry for him because the server is the messenger for the managers and they totally understaffed for the day, and the Chefs didn't make their orders for the product that they would need for service. We visited the Sugar Factory on 11/25/2023, this was our first visit. The service was extremely slow, yet the restaurant was only 20% full. The server was friendly however wasn't inattentive. There were six of us, one entree had a hair in it and one burger was raw, ordered medium rare. I ordered a lemonade and after everyone got their drinks the server told me they were out. She brought me a bottle of lemonade from their candy area, and it was expired and didn't taste good. The food was marginal. The atmosphere was okay nothing spectacular. It was noisy so hard to hear the server and people at our table. The manager visited our table, and when I mentioned the problems, she didn't seem too concerned. Definitely not worth the value. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Came on 1/5 for my friends birthday. Right away I could tell our experience was going to be awful. The restaurant was pretty empty but the hostess seemed annoyed we wanted a table. Once we were seated our waitress came to get our drink order and brought waters. I was brought a dirty glass that had someone else's lipstick on it still. We ordered our food and we waited...and we waited...and waited. A table that arrived after us got their food first. BUT it is insanely EXPENSIVE!! We got 2 desserts to split between 4 people and one coffee = $68!!! In addition to the elevated prices, the tax, and the tip, there is a "restaurant fee", whatever that is! We won't be going back. It was a "been there, done that" kind of experience! The sugar factory location at Glendale west gate was awful! We went to this location yesterday 6/28/25 because my daughter has been begging to go. I have been to one other sugar factory location in IL and that was 100 percent better than this! The service: we walked into the location and the seating hostess was NO WHERE to be seen. Our waitress came over at sat us at our table and then walked away for roughly 5-10 mins. She finally came back with our waters and then walked away again. 15-20 minutes later she came back to take our order. We ordered our food and then didn't see her again until we were finished with our meal. Then when checking out she lingered while we were running our card to pay. Food: Holy cow! I didn't realize I would have to take out a second mortgage for my house to eat here. First of all, why is there no kids menu options available? Forcing parents to order adult entrees for their kids is crazy. We ordered the rainbow sliders for my son and daughter ($29), my husband got the signature burger ($22-$23) and I ordered the brunch menu egg white omelette($19). For drinks, we ordered 1 s'mores hot chocolate ($13) and 1 mimosa ($17) and although we didn't order it, who in their right mind would pay ($41) for a non-alcoholic drink! So let's break down the quality.... I've had better food at Dennys for a fraction of the cost. The rainbow sliders didn't come with the signature duck as outlined in the menu and the buns and burger were extremely dry. My husband's full size burger patty was slightly bigger than the size of the slider Patties. He ate mostly bun and lettuce! My omelette was ok but the potatoes that came with were drown in grease and were so salty, they were inedible. My mimosa was crap! It looked completely thrown together and didn't have any flavor not to mention they didn't bring it out until we were almost done with our meal. Plus, the one I originally ordered was out. How can you be out when you have only been open since 9AM and were there at 12PM? The only decent thing we had was the hot chocolate. We paid over $122 dollars, which is absurd!! The candy shop: How can you have bare shelves and empty bins at a candy shop? Does that make sense to anyone? Who ever owns this location needs to seriously consider a revamp or this is going to be another location that shuts down in Westgate. I will never recommend this location to anyone. My daughter wanted to go to the Sugar Factory for her birthday. I read the reviews and I was reluctant, but she really wanted to go. Believe the reviews! I have buyer's remorse. First this place looks like it's ready to go out of business. The candy/ice cream area is rundown. Looks like an old Dollar Tree. The bathrooms are in need of repair and the A/C doesn't work. It's like a swamp in there. The service is super slow and the waitress we had seemed like she would rather be at home binging Vampire Diaries. She hardly checked on us to see if we needed anything. My water stayed empty for awhile. The waitress brought out the food and couldn't tell which burger was a turkey burger and which one was their Signature Sugar Factory Burger. I had to help her out, so that we got the right food. The food is fine. Nothing special, but not horrible. The fries were actually pretty decent. The drinks were actually really good, but really not worth the expense. You can't even keep the plastic goblet. Later, the waitress checked to see if my daughter wanted ice cream since it was her birthday. They brought out a scoop of ice cream with whip cream and some sprinkles and they sang her Happy Birthday. Nice right? Wrong! There was another birthday. They pumped up the volume on the 50 Cent hit, "In Da Club," and brought out the same ice cream with a huge sparkler. They then sang to her. We all looked at each other wondering what just happened, as my parents ate my daughter's lackluster ice cream. At the end, we got the bill. The "virgin" goblet drinks were $10 higher than they were supposed to be according to their website. When I asked the waitress, she stated maybe the website is old. I asked if I could talk to the manager and she said that the manager doesn't speak English. Huh? A lead waiter came out and said that the website has not been updated and management has directed them to tell customers to use the printed menus. However, the text is so small on the menus you can barely read the prices. Needless to say they didn't adjust the price of our bill, but I definitely adjusted the tip. On top of the bill being over $200, they add on a "restaurant fee" which was around $6. In summary, Sugar Factory is overrated and overpriced. The service is lackluster and the experience was overall regrettable. If you are contemplating visiting the Sugar Factory, save your money and time and go elsewhere. read more

The place is really pretty. Plenty of photo ops.. I guess it is a hit or miss with the food. I ordered the carne asada tacos. They were cold, "homemade tortilla" was hard and stale. The guacamole was brown. I took one bite after taking the old brown guacamole off and left the rest. The meat was sweet and the rice was undercooked, still hard. Was never asked if anything was wrong and no follow up to getting our food. My friends' drinks were made incorrectly. They ordered a cucumber drink and got a pineapple one. They did remake them, but it took forever. On reservation and upon arriving they asked if we wanted the cake we brought to be placed in fridge. When we asked if they could, our waitress informed me that there was a new $35 fee to place it in fridge that her manager made her aware of when seeing us with the cake. Prior to us, apparently there had not been a fee. The spicy vodka pasta was good. I ended up sharing it with my friend as my tacos were not edible whatsoever. My other friend's salad arrived soggy to the table and hot. Our bill ended up being $375+ which is fine, but just sucked since the food was poor and service lacked. Hope others have a better experience especially when coming in to celebrate something. The hostess was kind and gave us plastic bags to use since it was pouring rain outside. Let me start off by saying that our server Amaris was wonderful, gracious, and patient with our large group and this place is lucky to have her. However, management really needs to rethink the way they treat their customers. I made a reservation for my sister's 21st birthday on October 25th for November 10th at 7PM. A large group of 19 so I had to make a request online and followed up with a manager. She was awesome on the phone and offered me the "Pink Room" which is private space within the restaurant then excitedly told me how great it was going to be because it was the day of their grand opening and Mario Lopez and Nick Canon would be there. Day of, after waiting 10 or so minutes, I asked the hostess how much longer it would take for us to be seated and she informed me that they were trying to put together some tables for us outside. I told her we were supposed to be in the "pink room" and she said that they couldn't do that because of the event. I spoke with the same manager I made the reservation with and she claimed the owner had told them they were using the room and much of the restaurant for "VIPs and influencers" that same day. This was frustrating but why not plan ahead for a reservation that was 2 weeks in the books after finding out they couldn't accommodate us as promised instead of scrambling to put something together once we already arrived. We were not seated until well past 8PM after having to constantly badger them about it because it was clear no attempt was being made to set up tables to seat us as they claimed they were doing for over 40 minutes. They sat us outside and unfortunately many of our guests, some children, were not prepared to be outside on a chilly November night, but at this point I think we were all just glad to be closer to dinner. The food is okay nothing to rave about. The presentation of their drinks is nice and entertaining. They were very generous on the bill to try to make up for it and hopefully they get it together in the future but it really put a damper on a special day. read more

This place was a joke. There was no one at the front to greet our party. We had made reservations for March 1st on February 7th. Our party was seated at 4:49pm and no one came to serve our party until 5:40pm. When the reservation was made for a party of 20 I was informed that a gratuity would be due, due to the group size. When a representative finally came to our table we were informed that they only could do five tickets for a group of 20 and that that was their policy. We ended up having to speak to the manager's manager to get them to make an exception to their alleged rules that they failed to disclose during the time of reservation. The manager in the store then proceeded to tell us that since they're doing this exception that our party would need to be calm, friendly and patient because they had experience in the past with large groups of people dining and ditching which is very unprofessional not my business, not my concern and insulting to try to imply that our party would participate in such activities. Then the waitress finally returned to the table and began to address us with the same warnings and stipulations. Very unprofessional, highly offensive and rude. We perceive that there was racial profiling involved for them to treat us in such a poor manner, ASSuming we would dine and ditch or be rude and impatient after we were already patient. Before speaking to the manager's manager they tried to insist that we might have to go somewhere else with a group of 20 children for this birthday celebration. I felt guilty that chicken gave up its life to be on my plate & after staring at it for 45 minutes, I ended up putting it at an empty table when it became clear no one was going to bus it & bury it for me. All of the staff are very friendly, but they just can't provide good service when there aren't enough people. Waiting until soup is cold before getting a spoon. Limp french fries. We were so excited to try this place. We have been to the one in San Diego. To say it was an utter disappointment would be an understatement. We made a reservation for 1:30 on a Sunday for brunch, and had requested a booth. We got there, it was very cute. They told us they would clean us a table and to wait. We were very surprised when they walked us back to a private room where a party was being held. It was loud. We also were not given a booth. We asked for a booth and the hostess said she had to check. She came back and said they were all reserved. Sounded weird since we had reserved one. Then we asked if we could just be seated at a stable in the main restaurant. We were told EVERY table in the main dining room were reserved. So we had no choice. By the way, we passed many open tables in the main dining room- probably half. We just ordered our food which came quickly. It was average, not good, not bad, just average. The party room was small and we felt awkward and out of place in a small room with a party we weren't invited to. There is a bar in the back room where employees go for their break. There were 2 employees discussing how you know Sugar Factory is trying to get rid of you, they reduce your hours and they were loud and very unhappy for about 30 minutes. We asked to speak to the manager before we left. After we passed the same open tables we weren't allowed to sit in, we spoke to the manager. We told her that we had a reservation for a booth, and at least wanted to sit in the main dining room. She said we should have been sat in the main dining room. She said she was sorry, and there was no wait. We then told her about the employees complaining. To which she responded, "that's true, we reduce hours for poor performance." So yeah, we didn't need to know that. The manager was so much more interested in the employees complaining versus the experience we had and how we perceived the employees. She said to let her know when we come back, because she works 7 days a week. It was an hour and a half drive each way. We will never be back.
