Obviously, if he's running his business that way, I wouldn't assume he would do anything else correctly and the one star ratings on here are probably more accurate than the five star. I run a couple businesses and I would never treat anybody like this so I'm not sure how this guy can even repair a dinghy.

Said he would not do any repairs with customer supplied parts. I asked him how much it would be if he bought the part and did the repair and he would not give me a straight answer. He gave me 2 choices, write him a blank check and leave boat for an undetermined amount of time, or go somewhere else. I went somewhere else. If you like fishing make sure you have a fishing license we went down to the lime one year with a kids like two year old fishing pole and a child hook and some lame person said we had a fish net and called the rangers on us and they all came looking for a net looked in my backpack in my truck in our ice chest in the back of my truck acting like we had done something wrong it was a huge embarrassing moment for them because they came In hot like I was a criminal with my wife and to young kids and the only thing was a trash bag that I collected trash people left around apparently they had a video of this so called net and the ranger told me after looking a this video that they must have mistaken a net for a trash bag. It's was super lame like I understand they have a job todo but the way it was handled in the beginning was not professional with kids around. Other then that I've always have had a great time in the heat we even went when the lake was dried up on the Harris creek side and camping one year and it rained we still had a great time. Yes it's not super party like as year in the past and that's ok you want that behavior drive up the road to the next lake. I wish they still had the little store but that closed up sadly. They need more people camping to get that open again.

We called on our way up the central coast about a boating issue in our motor area of a new boat we have. Alex answered the phone, understood the issue and our circumstances (being out in the middle of nowhere and needing help) and asked us to stop on in. He would check it out for us. Keep in mind the business hours close at 5 and he explained he was busy getting people's rigs ready and doing deliveries - but he would still manage to help if he could. I call back at 4:50 - tell him we are still 30 minutes out and he said he'll be there. - right at 5:20 we pull up at his shop and he sees us (course we're the ones with the boat in tow) - and gives us a quick inspection and honest resolution- although it wasn't anything major, it could potentially be if we don't maintain our investment. He does know his stuff - gave us a quick lesson in understanding areas to maintain and took care of the issue. We got back on the road, grateful for such a great person and honest business owner.
