It's essentially an accordion-style convertible top that is very cool....until it breaks. After only months of owning my used Jeep, the Sky Slider roof broke and wouldn't close all the way. I took it to Jeep and they said it would be around $4,000 to fix and that it would probably just break again. They suggested I go to a body shop, cut off the entire top and replace it with a whole new metal hard top for again, thousands of dollars. I looked online and learned that this rare feature is known to break over and over, leak, etc. Jeep refuses to provide a recall (don't get me started). So, I contacted several mechanics and none were willing to help at least just get it locked closed. It is a feature none of them had seen and they did not want to mess with it. Finally, I contacted Glenn at The Top Shop. He admitted that he had never seen the Sky Slider feature before but he was willing to give getting it closed a try. He came up with a creative solution to get it closed and I am very grateful. Glenn even suggested ways to further seal it if it gives me any trouble with leaking down the road. He charged me a minimal amount and was honest and straight forward. I would highly recommend The Top Shop!

Given the incredible quality of the services provided as well as the incredible quality of the two people who were there (presumably Nathan and his employee?) I will now go out of my way regardless of where I might be on the west coast to go to this shop. I've traveled a lot (143,600 on my bike now) and there are no shops or mechanics that I've used that equal the quality of Salty Cycles.
