Sugarbox Donuts has a variety of donuts to choose from. They have traditional yeast and traditional cake donuts. They also have specialty fun designed donuts. We decided to try the maple bar, cinnamon glaze twist, apple fritter, chocolate yeast, and a fun snowman donut. The maple bar was my favorite because the maple flavored frosting was really good. All of the donuts were fresh and fluffy. Sugarbox Donuts are made with potato flour which makes them unique to the other local donut shops. I will come back here again for more delicious donuts. read more

I have been coming here for years. This place runs by 2 hard working very friendly sisters for years. They have amazing selection of delicious donuts, the best apple fritter & cream filled little donuts in town !!! Highly recommend this family run donut shop. Hands down the best donuts in the Conejo Valley. Love this local family own and run small business that adores and showers all with joy that visit. Everyone is warm friendly and helpful. Appreciate the gluten free and vegan options although please please please consider BOTH simultaneous gluten free and vegan donuts as this is so needed. I've been coming to this location since it was Spudnuts. I LOVE their donuts! However, until there is some retraining of food handling safety, I will not go back. The man that works there is really nice, but uses the SAME glove for who knows how long. He takes it off when ringing up customers, which is great....but when your fingers nails have busted through the glove, it may be time for a new one. Clearly the same glove has been used all day. As I was watching him put the donuts in the box, I could see his thumb (with 1/4 inch long nail) was digging into my donuts. I honestly was so grossed out. He was really sweet and gave us an extra donut but the more he moved the donuts around in the box, the more I didn't want to eat them. They are sitting on my counter, and I can't get the image of his nail imbedded in the donut out of my head. read more

Best donuts hands down! These are potato flour donuts and you can taste the difference. These are the only donuts I ever eat. My daughter loves them. My husband loves them and I cannot have enough. We love to make it a weekend event by getting these donuts as a special treat. My daughter is especially loves the unicorn. We surprise my husband for them on Father's Day and he loved them. Make sure you are prepared to wait for a line because they are always busy. They are always so nice. They're always so helpful and it has the cutest little small town vibes. read more

Sugarbox is my favorite donut place. Every time I drive to Ventura county I have to get my donut fix. They have a sister location in West Hills. Their donuts are made with potato flour, soft and full of flavor. My personal favorite is their maple bar. You can tell their maple is not made from some cheaply syrup. Tip: The later you come, the less option you have. read more

Im on the east coast and was tasked with finding donuts for a wedding donut wall. I googled and yelped and came across Sugarbox. The reviews looked good and their website provided a number to text for info. I was a little hesitant about just texting but they were quick to respond and it made it easy to communicate since I could ask questions when I thought of them. I ended up ordering 18 dozen donuts. A mix of classic and their fancy. I also sent them an inspo pic for the two dozen that would hang on the wall. Everything was perfect and the donuts were delicious. I thought we'd have a ton leftover, there were none. The groom, who fancies himself as a donut connoisseur, said it was the best old fashioned he'd ever have. In fact, they stopped by Sugarbox the day after their wedding to get more! Next time I'm in California, I'll definitely make it a point to stop in for a box of donuts. read more

Love coming to Sugarbox for special treats, they have super cute decorated doughnuts for anyone with a sweet tooth but especially popular with kiddos - as the designs range from superheroes to unicorns! I love that they have really solid savory options like croissant breakfast sandwiches. Be warned these are heavy and buttery. And I have to super shoutout Amanda! I was having a sweet tooth & I stumbled across SugarBox Donuts. I figured, why not check it out, try their donuts & see if they can do some customized donuts too. It's a cute donut shop located in Newbury Park, & was easy to find. I usually end up getting a mixture of donut holes when I go to a donut shop. That way you can just pop the donut holes in your mouth & can easily share them. These donut holes seemed bigger than the usual donut holes I get, so that was a plus! They were good! Also had a simple French Vanilla Cappuccino, that tasted delicious :) There was a guy behind the counter answering phone calls & taking orders. So I was helped by a lady that came from the back. She was so friendly & very helpful. I asked her about customizing donuts & she told me to text her daughter Amanda & gave me her number. Amanda responded back to me instantly, saying she can work on the customized order & asked me for what day & time I wanted them for pick up. I wanted my order for Super Bowl Sunday at noon. When I heard they had green donuts, I just had to get some for St. Patrick's Day in the office. Everyone agreed - these donuts are awesome! Great selection of donuts fill their glass cases and the quality is always consistent. They have some nice specialty doughnuts like their cronuts and character donuts which kids are always wowed by. I really like that they are open later in the evening. There have been plenty of times we've been craving donuts after dinner and picked up a few and the doughnuts were still fresh. Customer service is always pleasant and they do a good job of taking on the groups of customers that come by on the weekends. Their bear claw and apple fritters are a standout if you like those styles of doughnuts. I think they have some of the best ones in the area. read more

Look, I really really like this place a lot. The product is amazing. But if you have a highly in demand product that you sell out of every day before 9 AM, it should be an indicator that you need to make more. I happened to be stuck in line behind an annoying woman who could not make up her mind and distracted the person dealing with me. So rather than me being able to complete my order and get the very last cinnamon roll, she interrupted and took it. I had to spend 30 minutes trying to find raised cinnamon rolls in our area. They are so a accommodating and very creative! I've used them multiple times for parties and showers and the designs are always on point. The donuts themselves... oh my. I can't even begin to emphasize how tasty they are. I don't know why, but seriously, ridiculous. On top of that, I recently had to go gluten free (wahhh) but their gf donuts were AMAZING! My order was ready promptly for pick up! It was super delicious! Every time I stroll the two blocks for coffee-in the morning it is strong-and fresh. Bright happy smiles from employees. The donuts aren't too greasy, not too dense or doughy, yet not too airy, they're just done right. I've tried just about everything they offer, from their mochi donuts to their ham and cheese croissants. Nothing here will disappoint. Service is quick, and the staff is friendly. There nothing overly fancy about this place, it's just good regular donuts, in an old fashioned donut shop setting, conveniently located. Instead of an apology, we were accused of lying. It was just 2 donuts, and we were even willing to pay for them, but the owner added an extra charge because, apparently, we "didn't buy enough" in the first place. Absolutely ridiculous. This place is beyond awful. The customer service is abysmal, and they treated us with complete disrespect. To make matters worse, they tainted a special day for my son over a couple of donuts. There are plenty of other places that treat their customers with honesty and respect--this isn't one of them.

I found this spot online and headed over and Im glad I did. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the owners, husband and wife team who immediately made me feel welcome. They were eager to walk me through the menu, offered great suggestions, and were incredibly patient while my brain was still waking up at 9am lol. Their kindness and humor made me feel right at home. This place also feels homey. If you take a moment to look around, you'll notice the personal touches such as the artwork, photos, and thoughtful details that tell a story of their family. Okay Now to get to the good stuff the drinks and bites are stellar, here's what I got: I finally found a seriously addicting chai here in the 805. I'm very picky about chai, so when Robin insisted "you're trying this" so I listened and I'm so glad I did haha. Freshly brewed, no artificial flavors, perfectly spiced. I think I would dub this one of the BEST chai's I've ever had. 10/10. Their classic breakfast bites hit the spot too. I had a breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and a fresh egg. Simple but good. I'd get this again but also would be open to trying some of their other bites. 8/10. The handmade bakery section here was unreal. The apple pastry I ordered was pure nostalgia and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of their daily baked goods. The selection was huge and lots of different options to try. I think their passionfruit pastry will be calling my name next time. Lastly I leave you with a Fun fact: if you're a football fan or into chess, this is your cafe. Chess tables are available for playing at and it's the perfect morning spot to catch matches over coffee and pastries. Liverpool fans especially welcome here ;) Sorry it took me so long to find this spot but they've got a new fan now!

I've been to a few cat cafes, but this one was different from the rest--much more calm, and the staff member in the cat area was great about letting us know factoids about each cat my wife and I interacted with. They were also gentle but firm reminding people about the rules that keep the cats safe, which I really appreciated because I really don't like to see parents letting their little ones smack cats with toys or chase them around. Plus this cafe is affiliated with Best Friends, which is a great rescue organization.
