This is sooooo good. They don't skimp out- no adding water, a brand new fresh sugarcane thru the machine everytime. (I have seen places run the same sugarcane 3x into the machine.) It is so hard to find a place that sells this liquid gold. I love it!

Sugarcane Daddy was such a fun spot to visit in Chinatown! Located off the street, it was a little easy to miss because of how small and unassuming the shop is. Note that there is no interior for sitting but instead, you order and are served at a glass window, where you can see the employees feeding sticks of sugarcane into a machine press for the drinks. The drink itself is really refreshing and not artificially sweet, and you have the option of adding various fruits to customize your drink. I personally like the original flavor with just sugarcane juice. It is somewhat pricey, but given how rare fresh sugarcane juice is in NYC, I think it's definitely worth it. This is a lovely stop to add at the end of a Chinatown food tour in the summer.

When people say hole in the wall~this little shop really fits the description. The little window at the door was basically the ordering counter. This small space housed a sugarcane machine that can juice up fresh cane sticks into a sweet refreshing drink. Got my sugarcane drink mixed with Watermelon. Didn't realize the watermelon flavor over-powered the sugarcane water- next time I'll just stick with the original flavor. Overall, a great drink spot on a hot summer's day.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, no one there but us. Someone came to help us with after L buzzed them. Order was ready pretty quickly. Anyway ordered an XL with lime for $8. it tastes too watered down with ice so obviously it would taste better without it, but it wouldn't be worth paying $12 for it. It was just okay. Not worth the $8, didn't taste that good. My brother has been here as well and he thinks it's overpriced. I'd rather get a different drink somewhere else for the same, if not more $. Or even watermelon juice would taste better but that's my preference. I only came here since I know L likes sugarcane drinks but even he said it was just okay. He also said the lime made it taste better. Glad we tried, but wouldn't come back.

Delicious! I drunk sugarcane at the street festival in NYC. Since then, I'm into that! 1st time I've tried here. $8 you can chose with coconuts, watermelon and pineapple....or regular. Taste great and healthy. It's very close to the canal street station. grab and go! (No inside seats and bathrooms)

If you know, you know :) This drink is straight fresh sugarcane, it doesn't get more pure than this. I grew up drinking this with kumquat in it, adds a light citrusy kick that's beyond refreshing, especially on a hot day. I got the XL, and while it's $8, they do not skimp on the juice. (Other places add way too much ice) Be prepared to wait if there are people ordering in front, I had two other people ordering half gallon sizes, so I waited a good 20mins before it was my turn. But trust me, it's worth it!

Great summer drink but a bit pricey for a drink. It's only a to go store so hand them money through the window and they will hand you back a drink. Nothing special for a $10 drink. Skip and go get yourself a Starbucks or a bottle of water. read more

Horrible. Don't bother coming here. Not fresh, false advertising and canned product. Fresh sugarcane is not brown and cloudy. Tried this place in March after the Stop AAPI Hate rally and it was great but now it's nothing like it was before. Either they changed ownership or lost the franchise license. Delicious!! Added kumquat juice to mine and it tasted like a very light orange juice with that pure, sweet sugarcane aftertaste. Been craving sugarcane juice and this hit the spot! Only thing is that our paper straws starting disintegrating before we were done with our drinks. Maybe switching to bamboo straws would be better. read more

Really shocked at all the good reviews. I was really excited to try it when I walked past and spent $7 on a regular size cup of just the sugarcane juice. It did not taste fresh or very good though I did see the worker go get a piece of sugarcane to put into the machine. Luckily all the ice they put in it made it so I didn't have to drink all that much. Would not go back or recommend read more

Excellent sugarcane juice........straight from the sugarcane. I go there whenever I am in Chinatown because sugarcane juice also has all kinds of minerals that help my stomach allergies. It is not diluted and very satisfying. Because it is juiced right after you order, you may have to wait if the line is long, it is worth it. read more

The sugarcane juice itself is AMAZING. The service? Questionable. My friend is a diabetic and she asked the girl at the front for a cup of water. The girl VERY RUDELY informs her that they don't have water, yet my friend ended up getting water from the guy who works there. My other friend asked for a straw and the lady threw it at her. I don't know who got on her bad side that day but she needs to learn to put her sh** aside and treat people with basic respect. YUCK. I would recommend this place if it wasn't for her nasty attitude. read more

Being a native of OC, CA I grew up drinking sugarcane and when I saw they had some here in Chinatown, it was a must to try. The booth was small and located on the side of a street, however it was worth the visit. The workers were extremely nice and friendly. We ordered the sugarcane and watched it get juiced right before our eyes with no extra sugars or any flavors added. It was amazing!!! Super good! Naturally sweet and yummy. The best part was when the staff offered us the actual sugar cane stick to try for free. It was nice to taste the difference of both. If you're in Chinatown, you must visit! The staff is honestly the best part of our experience! read more

New sugar cane juice shop in chinatown! It's almost hidden next to the restaurant Nha Trang One -- there's a little window where you order the juice from. You can get the sugar cane juice freshly made by itself or you can add in a juice at no additional cost (I got kumquat juice in mine and it was deeelicious!). There's one table outside this little shop with two seats where you sit out outside, otherwise it's mainly to go. Stop by this place and support their business! read more

When I was like 6 years old my family went to Hawai'i and it was there that i first tried sugar cane. when i tell you that i've been thinking about it ever since, IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT EVER SINCE. this year we returned and after driving around O'ahu for an entire day, and getting stuck in a random storm, i was able to find it again. 15 years later. Now, living in new york, i randomly happened upon this place and just died. i asked the guy working the front if i could buy some raw sugar cane, and he just gave it to me. free. when i tell you it made my week like i can't even express how much it meant to me. i even texted my parents about it and they were absolutely shocked. i got to introduce my friends to it, and even bring some back for my other friends who recently moved here from Hawai'i. everybody loved it and i shouted this place out to them. go show them some love. leave a big tip! i love u guys thank you for the cane read more

I'm honestly not a coffee expert, so I can't explain exactly what made it so special, but it felt like heaven in a cup. One sip and I understood why people wait in line for it. The total came to about $17, including tax and tip. The burger was delicious. Smash burgers are my favorite, and this one was cooked perfectly with crispy edges while still moist. I also really appreciate that they offer a gluten-free bun. The burger and fries were a satisfying portion without feeling overly heavy. This is a casual spot, but it consistently delivers delicious food at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a classic smash burger in the neighborhood, I would recommend.
