I am always horrified by this location. But it's convenient and easy to get to. Also.... A one always holds out hope for a good soft and warm Kristy Kreme donut. NOT!! My husband and I stopped by to get the donut holes. Easy right? We were excited. So as soon as I got to the car I tried one. Why was it cold and hard? No softness. No warmth. Cold and hard. That means we had 24 cold and hard donut holes. So disappointing. The last time my husband stopped by last month he got a Dozen Glazed. Again.... Cold and firm. No sense of freshness whatsoever. Krispy Kreme always has been and always will be the gold standard for doughnuts. I only come here a couple time a year usually for when they make decorated doughnuts: St. Patrick's Day Halloween Christmas They might decorate for a few more holidays, but those are the 3 I usually show up for. I'm not a big fan of the decorated doughnuts as far as eating them, but they make for fun pics. For the Halloween set I got today I liked the green ones. Disappointed that Krispy Keme discontinued my favorite Lemon filled glazed donut. I went to N Florida location in Tampa, FL, on 01/21/2026. So I got three other donuts. The apple filled and raspberry filled did not have enough filling. The apple filled was also dusted with way too much cinnamon sugar. Plus the iced glazed cake doughnut was too sweet. Apparently today is the day of the dozen, buy one dozen at a regular price and you can get the glazed dozen for a $1.00. The drive-thru line was long especially the online and phone orders. Drive-thru order...NOT happy they didn't have apple fritter doughnuts. Ughhhh My daughter had a coupon for $6.99 for doughnuts, so we stopped here on the way back to her house. This is a old KK, but a lot of customers and friendly faces. The hot sign was lit, but the doughnuts were not really hot. They were warm, but good. I only eat one doughnut, but my kids, grandkids, and husband love them. We ordered 2 dozen and 2 freeze drinks. My son and daughter had that. My emails from Krispy Kreme advertise wonderful throwback donut flavors--banana pudding, strawberries and creme, etc. Four wonderful dessert experiences that really tempted me to make a special trip to the store on W. Kennedy. Unfortunately, it seems that Krispy Kreme in Tampa (and in St. Pete, since we tried there, too) can't offer any special flavors since the Florida Avenue store's closure. The app still let us order the special donuts, and pay for them. But when we got to Krispy Kreme we had to wait while they could provide us with a receipt of our refund. This is the Krispy Creme that I have been visited frequently since the New Tampa location close many years ago. They have conveyor belt type of making the donuts in massive volume. The light for hot is almost lighted every time. Which mean they has fresh made donuts. They have many types of donuts. But the one I like is the sugar donut. Not event the glaze donut. When they have the hot donut or freshly made donut, I like to ask them get them from the conveyor belt. Sometimes I ask for naked donut. I will at sugar crystal by myself. During national donut day, this donut is free with one donut per person. Parking is not the most in this area. Very limited space. But drive through is available. They don't accept tip since there is camera behind the counter. Some one is monitor the employee behavior. read more

Despite liking sweets, I've never really been a donut guy. If Ryo Saeba put his .357 Magnum Colt Python to my head, I'd probably put Boston Cream as my favorite. However there is one cool aspect of KK. The hot and ready sign. This branch has the hot and ready from 6 - 10 am and 6-10 pm IIRC. You can get newly made glazed donuts hot off the conveyor belt then. Eating them like this is so awesome. IMO there's no value in eating them at room temperature. The other varieties are ok- similar to DD (That may be sacrilege to some.) Sometimes they will have specialty designs like Power Rangers lightning bolts last year to promote the new Power Rangers live action film. The ladies who work here are always very kind and helpful no matter the time. The building is old and there's not much sitting space inside. It is generally clean. The only annoying thing is going to the bathroom . You have to get a key attached to a big rectangular stick from one of the workers , then exit the main door, go to the left of the building and enter a door to use the facilities. Just dont test your blood glucose after eating them. It will definitely be .... OVER 9000! read more

Went into the store tonight and they were able to give me a whole cup of fresh donut glaze for his birthday cake. Donuts ok, service a pain! Walked in to a young man that was leaning on the counter and yawning....should've been a tell sign to just walk away. Let's first put into perspective that we don't live near a Krispy Kreme so when we go its a little trek. Came in because we wanted a dozen variety which we ordered but the guy was so slow and acted like we interrupted him from doing absolutely nothing. When checking out, it took all I could not to make any comments....but my husband opened his app for the guy to scan the barcode for points for today's purchase. He had to get the phone from my husband in order to scan the barcode, however my hubs had to literally place the phone into the man's hand that was on the other side of the counter because he refused to make the effort to lift his hand to obtain the phone, WTH. I'd be ashamed to have employees representing my company/business like this. Everyone working there seemed the same as well...just sitting around or leaning against the counters. Realizing they were slow however find something productive to do than just leaning around the counters and try acknowledging customers when they walk in and make effort to show the customer to care! The staff is friendly and they have a clean establishment. The quality of the Donuts are what you would expect, delicious! My only gripe is that $11.50 for a dozen donuts is highway robbery! That's my reason for the 3 star review. $8-$9 is a much more realistic price range. Krispy Kreme makes a good donut but I don't think anyone make donuts that good to charge an arm and a leg. I've actually been to this location a few times and have had issues with service but this one takes the cake.The staff here is rude and has no manners. I walked into the location and instead of being greeted everyone was running around in circles doing nothing. The girl then walked over to me and did a big yawn and then said "Whatchu want?" Sitting outside in the heat with my nine yr old son because my car decided to die in the Krispy Kreme Parking lot. I had just bought an assorted dozen and went out to my car to take our confections home. I went back in to ask if we could wait in the air conditioning and the lady behind the register went to check with the Manager. Of course he said no, even though we were not asking to sit and eat. HOT NOW!!!!! There I was, innocently minding my own business, early on the morning after Christmas... I had just dropped off my SUV to have the front seats re-upholstered at some un-Godly hour of the morning. As far as a doughnut chain goes, Krispy Kreme tops all that I've had. It's a smaller, possibly older location, but it is probably my favorite of all the ones in Tampa. Of course, I'll begin with the donuts. If that hot light is on then you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm going to be driving up with a smile on my face, ready for that dozen. They have the standard selection of classic glazed but also the assorted flavors as well, always ready for ordering no matter what time of day (I've gone at night too when it's far too late for somebody to be eating donuts but who's judging?). Tasty and mouth-watering as ever! The staff here is what makes the five stars. They are always so friendly and ready to help if you have any questions or just want a suggest for which doughnut to pick to complete that tasty dozen. I've gone to other Tampa locations when their employees seem so aloof or just mean but everybody here is so kind! I live near this Krispy Kreme so anytime I leave my house and drive towards it I can smell the amazing aroma. My experiances have been hit or miss. I went one day and went through the drive thru and actually left with out my order because they took so long. They have a featured donut of key lime, and Ty like key lime so I thought I would get one for him, turns out it tasted nothing like key lime pie, but hey what do you expect from a donut.
