I've really only gone to them for Brazilian services, but would be open to trying them out for spray tanning or other waxing. My third time coming to this location and every girl I've gotten has been amazingly quick! Today Emma sugared me and I was pretty nervous since it's been almost a year since I've gotten sugared here. I told her to start with the sides in case my pain tolerance couldn't handle it. I was so happy with my first experience here! I was guided to the private room immediately after checking in. There was no wait at all which was great. The room was clean, and had a privacy towel & cleansing wipe ready for use. The woman that did my wax was quick and did a thorough job. She made me feel super comfortable, and was great at keeping me distracted from the pain with small talk haha. The wax was completed in just 15 minutes, which is amazing compared to the 45 minutes I've spent at another regular waxing place. After I was done, I simply left because they just charged my card on file. I am super happy with my results & the customer service. I came to Sugared + Bronzed for a spray tan before an upcoming trip to the Bahamas. Service was perfect and my tan was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this service if you are looking for a deep dark tropical tan that just pops! My tan held up through pool time and in the ocean. What I love most about a spray tan is that it's very thorough and even. I'm in the sun A LOT but I'm always wearing my running or hiking gear so I have some very strange tan lines where my back, midsection and thighs aren't very tan. This place solves all of those issues, providing you with a beautiful glow. I loved it so much and now I'm wondering what my excuse to return for another will be. I'm going to start by saying I get spray tans all the time. The woman I usually go to was out of town unfortunately, and I had to go some place new. I was hesitant to go to Sugared & Bronzed because their prices are almost double what a normal spray tan would cost, but the reviews were good so I scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival there were three people at the front desk. One was very friendly and welcoming, but the other two weren't so. I was surprised since most of the reviews said very friendly staff. When it came time to the spray tan, I told them I wanted a level 2 out of 4 (or whatever verbiage they use). I was a little concerned halfway through because she was spraying a lot, but again, since this was a new place I let it go thinking maybe they do it differently here. When I tell you I looked like a pumpkin the next day..... I was SO orange/dark, I couldn't even imagine what a level 4 would have been! It was so off from my normal skin that my friends kept saying something to me which never feels good. On top of that, they tack on an automatic tip which according to the lady at the front desk you cannot change. So if I have a bad experience with the person who did my spray tan, I have to give them a high tip? Doesn't really make sense. I'm sure people are having great experiences here, but unfortunately mine was not and it definitely was not worth the price compared to other places. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but it was enough to change my mind about them. Just proves you don't have to go to the fancy, expensive places to get good quality. I moved to the Bay area a few years ago and had to find a new waxing place for the sensitive bits. I've tried so many but found myself not loving any of the places I went to or the results I was getting. I decided on one of my many visits to see my long-distance boyfriend in SoCal I was just going to try a place near his apartment and found S+B and I couldn't have been happier. Scheduling is super with online scheduling. My first time I went I actually missed my appointment and they were able to reschedule me within the hour which I know they didn't have to do because it was completely my fault. I was super happy they were able to accommodate me. Sugaring, for me, yields better results than traditional waxing. I have very little to no ingrowns which is a huge problem for me with traditional waxing. I do think sugaring is a lot more painful (I haven't done it enough to become calloused to it lol), but I think it's worth it to get the results I want. They always try to work as efficiently as possible, which helps with the pain factor. Because it's competing with Bay area pricing, I'm not mad about the price on sugaring and found it to be more affordable than other places I've tried. One of the most important things for me when going to a waxing/sugaring place is how someone makes me feel. No matter how many times I do it, I get in my head and can get super uncomfortable with the experience. But everyone who has helped me at S+B has always been helpful, casual, kind, calming and friendly. This helps me to be more relaxed and try to focus less on the compromising position I put myself in lol. There is the tiniest of LA parking lots in front, but street parking is usually available. Not always close, but close enough. When you're ripping hair out of anywhere, especially the bits, it's going to be a rough experience. But S+B provides the best experience they can give you with one of the toughest beauty routines to keep up. I highly recommend coming here. read more

This staff is spectacular. Had the most amazing spray tan there. Wish I could remember her name but I know she was part time. The sugar hair removal process was terrible. The technician I had was friendly in a very fake way and she was intolerant of my pain. She gave me no forewarning of how incredibly painful the Brazilian would be. As she did it she just kept ripping out my hair going faster as I winced in abject pain, trying to stop her. I've never felt so awkwardly vulnerable and vaguely assaulted by someone who removes hair. The manager (who was lovely) and I had a conversation the next day and my advise was could they please inform someone about how terrible hair removal with sugar is. Then to stop throughout the process and ask how your doing. Why any woman would want that degree if pain is beyond me. I have returned for a spray tan but will never ever get such an archaic and painful princess again. Stick with European Wax In Burbank. That is painless. They use a cold wax. read more

I've been to this location before a few years ago and had a great experience, but I went recently and will never go back. I got a Brazilian. The technician ripped my skin, leaving me with a large open cut in my crotch that bled throughout the session. I thought that was the worst of it, but I noticed during the days and weeks after the session that I was having a really bad skin reaction. Itching, bumps, redness, the whole nine. I've been sugared and waxed my whole life so no this was not regular post-treatment skin sensitivity. I've had to use hydrocortisone steroid cream on my crotch everyday to help clear the rash. I don't know if they changed their ingredients since I went there back in 2020, because I didn't have this reaction then. All I know is that I will never be back. read more

I purchased a spray tan prior to attending Life Is Beautiful music festival in Las Vegas. I am naturally very fair skinned, and after chatting with the ladies at the front desk, I decided to go with a level 2 tan. The woman who tanned me was quick, friendly, and informative, and the facilities were crisp and clean. Day 1 following my spray tan, the tan looked amazing. Unfortunately, despite proper upkeep, my tan was incredibly streaky and blotchy by day 2. I always get spray tans prior to attending music festivals, and despite the scorching heat, my tans typically hold up. Still, I'll give Sugared the benefit of the doubt, and I'll probably come back in the future to test out another tan. read more

Unfortunately I will not be back. The first time I was surprised with an involuntary added 18% gratuity when I did not appreciate the way my technician acted. The second time the technician was sweet, but she didn't tan me nowhere near enough. Huge inconvenience but I decided to RUSH and come in the morning before my shoot to get re-sprayed and now the valet guy is being a dick downstairs trying to charge me $4 for yesterday AND today's parking, for a 20 minute re-spray when I'm coming back because I was never satisfied with the service to begin with. How about you get a parking lot and stop charging your clients unnecessary added fees for half ass service? I'm absolutely done here! read more

I had my first visit to Sugared + Bronzed just under 2 weeks ago and I thought it was fantastic. The service was excellent. The personal attendant was so great at explaining every step of the spray procedure and helped me make the right call for how dark to go. (I chose a 2, which she said would give me a noticeable bump up in terms of tan-ness and I was happy with that choice.) I love how spa-like and clean this facility is. So freaking cute. I love the grey barn doors. There is limited parking, but it's free! I prefer to park at a meter so it's easy to get in and out. My sugaring lady was Katie. She was such a sweetheart. She explained the different between waxing and sugaring. Waxing is chemical based and breaks off the hair versus sugaring which is all natural and pulls the hair from the root. By pulling the hair from the root, this helps eliminate ingrown hairs if you're prone to them. I also love that sugaring is literally what it sounds like. A big ball of sugar, water, and lemon. There is no double dipping. It was a little painful so I recommend taking an Advil or something if it's your first time. I've lasered and waxed so the pain was somethinf I could tolerate. The new client special is amazing! I paid for one sugaring and got one free for a future use. Not too shabby. That was definitely a perk I didn't expect! I will definitely be coming back. read more

I hate pain, but getting sugared here is always very quick and the girls make you feel like it's OK to feel pain, they just help you through it. They are also SO QUICK every time and afterwards i feel great and it lasts way longer than a wax. This location is very clean and i went right when it opened back up from covid and I felt safe going. The only thing i think they need to change, is to have the removable passer on the entire "bed" where you lie down, because when I touch it to climb up i wonder if it's been cleaned underneath. read more
