The ladies that work here are all very sweet and beautiful and the place in itself is very clean which is always appreciated. My tan looks okay/below okay. I have large boobs so I have a completely botched tan where my boobs are and underneath them. She didn't work around them or ask me to lift them up or give me arm placements that would allow for the tan to come out better. Super disappointed with that. The color isn't per se bad but it's just uneven on my arms and legs. What left a bad taste in my mouth was the receptionist checking me out says "the salon is suggesting 18% on top of your service" right in front of the girl who did my tan. Which is a little unprofessional in my opinion considering I would have tipped even higher on my accord but the fact it feels forced is weird. She could've asked if I wanted to tip instead of wording it that way. Just my opinion. An extreme negative is this may be the most dangerous parking lot I've ever parked in. Extremely small to the point where you have to back into on going traffic if there's too many cars parked because you genuinely can't turn your car around with the lack of space. There's also children running around so if you drive a nice car I would avoid this place all together. read more

Okay so I decided last minute that I wanted to get a spray tan before my destination wedding in Cabo! So I procrastinated and never did my trial. First off, they have availability that will accommodate any schedule so I was able to get the last appointment the day before my next day 8 am flight! I worked with Leyla who was so kind and easy going that she made me feel so comfortable stripping down for my tan. I wanted as little tan lines as possible. Went for a level 3 and it came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Mind you, I'm Asian, fair to light skin! All my friends and family thought I was vacationing in Cabo for weeks before they saw me because I was so golden tan and it looked so natural! Also I got my spray tan on Wednesday and wedding wasn't until Sunday, luckily I was mindful of sweating and getting into the pool so it preserved pretty well until the big day! Had a really great experience my first time. felt completely comfortable in all my glory and the artist chatted with me and we had a good convo about upcoming vacations. would 10000% recommend to a friend NO ORANGE!!! Only thing is i'm not a fan of the charging for alll the extra things people who are new may not know like bring a mask and hair mask but overall i think communication was above and beyond on expectations and what to wear ! I've been here multiple times and every single time I am disappointed beyond measure ... it also lasts only a few days and then starts to peel and I have to wear turtle necks because I look like some reptile. A perfect example of a high-end "brand" trying to walk the line between corporate integration, and personalized services. It just doesn't work. So far the only brand that's been able to do this WELL is Starbucks (yes I'm talking to you, DryBar!),... somehow with 'Bucks the product remains quality, price is reasonable, and it's still a welcoming environment. Not so much with beauty services that should be in the hands of caring individuals... And with S + B (as they fondly nicknamed themselves), the "upscale chic" marketing and branding goes as far as the parking lot ... and def DOES NOT extend to the service, experience nor skills of the employees you have to work with. Tips aside, these youngsters clearly work by the hour, and while well-intentioned, are mostly green, unsophisticated, and blasé. Once you actually step foot inside the salon, you're greeted by nonchalant, rather unprofessional young females who quite honestly seem less trained than a Starbucks barista. Being a woman over the age of 40, you hope to be in the hands of someone pleasant, relaxed, professional, and capable, ESPECIALLY if you are going to be naked at the mercy of a tech who's either removing hair or blasting you with tanning solution... My experience being spray-tanned by the young gal who probably was no more than 24 was just such an upsidedown scenario. She threw out terms casually as if I would understand what the heck she was referring to, (even though I explained I've never done this before), and the whole experience was tantamount to being hosed down by a teenager who honestly seemed bored and detached. Even worse, as I'm literally being sprayed with ice cold solution, she's rattling off instructions for me to remember after the whole thing is done - just completely idiotic because- who can focus on THAT... when you're just trying to brace against ice cold tanning solution... naked and confused??! Whoever is training these gals clearly checked out in terms of common sense, and/or is doing so strictly by a menu and with no importance placed on individualized communication or service... and hiring gals who truly could care less about customers (or customer service!) doesn't help. Here's a perfect example of how the corporate mentality pervades absolutely everything: because I was scheduled at the end of the day, I was asked if I would like to pay upfront. Mind you, I've never even had the service before in my life, nor have I met the technician that's going to be working with me, and therefore have no idea what's going to transpire or how the services will be. But without blinking the young gal handing me the hitech ipad to pay on asked "Would you like to leave a gratuity?" ???!@!!?#?? How the heck should I know if the gal I'm working with even merits a gratuity (spoiler alert: turns out she didn't!)- yet this is the drone mentality of the staff. Tips are a way to reward the technician after they've done a good job - so why on earth would you tip if you've never even met your technician??! THIS is how this brand trains them: no common sense, just simply go by rote menu. How was the tan when all is said and done? It was sprayed on so lightly that it barely made a dent on my already-pale skin... For the money spent I would've been better off purchasing something at the drugstore. Definitely wasn't worth the time, energy, trouble setting up the appointment, and the expense. Won't be back. Would highly recommend ANY other place but this overcharging, underserving business. Had a less than awesome experience here. I went in for a wax and a spray tan. The wax was OK, but I went into the spray tan with a technician who is so rude, I actually felt shamed. I'm a little overweight, so you're already shy in that environment because your buck naked. But she didn't make ave attempt to put me at ease, didn't even make eye contact, spoke in a condescending tone, and didn't crack a smile or was in the least bit gracious. I was so taken aback that I literally was going to tip nothing. It was so embarrassing to be naked in front of somebody who would treat you like that. But when I walked out, she was manning the tip station and told me that she already added 18% (their standard. I think the standard is if you actually gave good service or were kind and gracious) There were other customers around and I didn't want to make a stink, so I just left. I think her name is Mariah . I've been coming to the STC location off and on for a couple years now for different waxing services, usually the extended Brazilian. Brazilian waxes are not fun at all IYKYK but the experience is greatly impacted by the esthetician doing your service. During this appointment, Elise performed my waxing and she was patient, explained every step and when she saw me struggling with the discomfort, as the sugar ball became more firm, she was kind enough to change it out. This was the quickest, most efficient and thorough waxing I've received at S&B and a lot less painful. I'm going to look into doing the monthly membership & I'll be requesting Elise when possible. read more

I drove 47 min to get my daughter ( 10 year old ) sprayed for her competition. We are leaving town tomorrow. We had a ten min grace period I had to park , we came in at 6:32 and the receptionist turned us away . Without any remorse and with a I don't care attitude . No other options or solutions. She is a tiny little thing only needed legs , arms . She was in an under leotard and just like that the girl turned us away . Absolutely disgusting customer service . I waited to see the person that's supposed to be the next appointment and I saw no one showing up . I will never come here again. read more
