I was looking for a new place close to home for hair removal, and was in desperate need of an appointment after salons were shut down for COVID. I found Sugaring N More through a Facebook recommendation. I have been waxing for years, and was intrigued at the idea of sugaring so I booked an appointment with Jenny. Now in general, any type of hair removal, especially a Brazilian, is not very comfortable. But I can say with certainty that sugaring is significantly less painful than both hard and hot wax. The recovery time was also significantly faster. Jenny did a great job of explaining how sugaring work and also chatted with me throughout the whole process. First time customer - came in for a maintenance Brazilian as I am from out of state and due for appointment. Salon was very simple and clean. Was greeted at entrance, offered if I need to use the restroom before beginning (which is a great thing to offer and not something my salon does at home, I thought that was very good customer service). Was brought to room - loved the barn door decor- again great customer service was shown there are complimentary wipes if needed and towel to drape for modesty on the table. - again great customer service little additions not offered at my salon at home. Mikayla was great. Very professional and kept conversation with me. Almost entirely pain free!! Only 1-2 areas caused a brief moment of pain - definitely the least painful Brazilian ever (only my 3rd time sugaring)!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY 10/10 RECOMMEND for all your sugaring needs!!! Will 100% be returning next time I'm in town. Also- I think it's fantastic they offer maintenance appointment price discounts (with no contact/subscription like is required where I am from). Before I started going to Jenny I had a membership at a well known chain waxing place. Not only did I struggle with keeping up with my waxer's ever changing schedule but I would also leave with several complaints such as novice waxers who hurt me or did an incomplete job. I would also get crazy irritation even after using their recommended (and expensive) products. After Jenny told me her experience with sugaring, I was slightly skeptical but I decided to give it a shot. Needles to say I have since stopped regular waxing or shaving and have stuck with sugaring since. Not only does Jenny have a set schedule, she has always been extremely accommodating even on short term notice. I realized my skin was no longer irritated and my visits have to be less often. I also noticed a big difference in the discomfort level between waxing and sugaring, there is no painful rips or pulls during my sessions with Jenny. I've been going to Jenny for the past 6 months and words can't describe how she's changed my life with Sugaring. I'll admit I didn't wax before but I'd shave. I use to shave about once every 8-10 days. I go once a month now. I'd get ingrown hairs and hated when I didn't get all the hair. The differences I noticed with Sugaring (when it's done correctly) is less growth when my hair grows back, no ingrown hairs, all the hair being gone and of course it just being healthy all around. I've heard stories about how ppl may have been burned but not me. Jenny takes care of me every time and she has great and affordable prices. Every visit has been pleasant and well worth it. I love to leave good tips and recommend places when I'm given extraordinary customer service and when working with a professional that's good at what they do. Just had my first sugaring experience at this place and oh my I never felt so smooth in my life! I can feel the sugar-wax pull all that hair from the root. My sugarista was Marissa and she made me feel comfortable when I was getting a bit nervous. Great first experience and I have already scheduled with her again. So like most girls, I got fed up with shaving, and thought.. why not try waxing. When I typed in waxing into yelp search. Sugaring n more immediately came up. I never knew sugaring existed, since I had never gotten a wax before. So after a little research, I discovered that sugaring is a better alternative for sensitive skin (which i have). Booking an appt was very easy. Jenny got back to me super fast. Fast forward to my appt, I decided to get my armpits waxed and a brazilian wax. I thought my pain tolerance was average since I have tattoos. But I have never experienced something so painful in my life. Getting a brazilian... is NO joke. I HIGHLY recommend you buying numbing cream before hand. Anyways, is the midst of me being in pain, while jenny rips my hairs out.... jenny ALONE made my 1st experience bearable. She was very sweet, and consistently made conversation with me to keep me distracted from the pain. She even gave me stress balls to squeeze, and told me it was ok if I curse or accidentally kick her. Talk about amazing customer service lol. My donut was throbbing for about an hr afterwords, but its definitely smoother.
