Got my underarms sugared for the first time and loved it! I have waxed at EWC on and off for six years. Recently I have been unhappy with their price hikes, customer service, and my own skin's reaction to the services. I decided to try sugaring after hearing about it from a friend and watching a few videos on youtube. Jenny responded SUPER fast to an appoint request and was able to fit me in last minute. She was very kind and welcoming through the whole process. I was worried that, after letting my underarm hair grow because of the winter season and having shaved a few times after my last wax, that I would be really sensitive. But it didn't hurt at all! While I did have a few red bumps because my skin is so sensitive, it was nothing compared to how red I would be after waxing. Jenny was really quick and thorough so I really felt like she was taking care of me, not just trying to rush to the next client. She even recommended taking an antihistamine to help with any swelling/bumps - never heard that from an EWC waxer! I really appreciated that she chatted with me about her brazilian process. If I decide to do it, she recommended me to get a lidocaine numbing cream off of amazon and to stay away from caffeine before. She gave me all these tips and customer testimonials without pressuring me to book another appointment immediately which I appreciated. Gave sugaring a try since I was getting sick of shaving every few days or so. The process was definitely different from other types of waxing but much less painful. My skin did not turn red like it normally does with hard wax. In addition to Jenny being super sweet and professional, she did a very clean job!! No missed patches, hairs left behind or ingrowns. Came in for my first time with sugaring and I went to do a Brazilian service. First off I want to say that I have been going to European wax center religiously for almost 4 years now and I have to say it's been a long and nice ride with them I am so happy to say that I am leaving that life behind because this sugaring thing... is such a game changer!! I had my sugaring appt with Jenny the other day and she was so welcoming from the start, she was really attentive to detail and made sure I was comfortable at all times and checking in every now and then to make sure I was doing okay pain wise. I cannot tell you how many times I've been burned due to the hot wax with European wax center but the sugaring wax that Jenny uses stays luke warm and the wax instead is formed into a mold in the area being waxed and removed in smaller sections. On the pain scale I would say it is just about to same as it would be with regular wax however the pain doesn't linger or sting at all. I have heard that sugaring is much better on regrowth of the hair and ingrown hairs also so I will definitely be keeping track of that to compare differences later on. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!! Especially those with sensitive skin like me, book your next appointment with Jenny you won't regret it! Jenny's Sugaring is an absolute must! I highly recommend this business, especially if you like trying new things, i usually get hard wax and i think it is definitely worth it over shaving period but sugaring is a MUST try. Plus, it also helps when the person who is assisting you is an absolute sweetheart, Jenny will walk you through the whole process and is very professional. I believe there is a promotion going on and it is a steal! I usually get robbed from European wax center for a Brazilian for 67 bucks! Ive also tried a couple other Groupon places and got burned because the wax was too hot!! I've been waxing for about 2 years now but cause of Covid I was about 8 weeks out and I really was not looking forward to getting my Brazilian done and desperate to find the most painless option.
