I am extremely disappointed with Sugaring New York Waxing Center. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This morning, I booked an appointment and canceled it literally two minutes later due to an unexpected scheduling conflict. Two minutes. Not hours. Not the same day. Two minutes after booking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Despite this, they charged me 50% of the service cost -- $80 -- to my credit card. When I made the reservation, I was told the card was required to hold the appointment and would not be charged unless there was a no show. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called immediately to cancel, no one informed me that I would be charged a penalty. I only discovered the charge afterward.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As a regular client, this feels particularly disappointing. There was no time lost, no technician assigned and waiting, no operational impact -- yet they still processed the charge. Policies are one thing. Basic fairness and discretion are another. Charging a loyal customer $80 for canceling within two minutes of booking is unreasonable and frankly predatory. I will not be returning. read more
