I usually see the owner, but with my schedule changing recently, I figured to give another one of the girls a chance. My last trip in I saw Megan Johnson, she's amazing! She's very present and professional and made me feel SO comfortable. My hair growth was a little longer than usual which would usually make for a bit more painful of a session but Megan is SO good it barely hurt. Making an appt: Texted Julie at the number provided and making an appointment was simple, was informed I would have a consultation prior to my appt. Exterior: Located in adorable downtown Carlsbad, the buildings are addressed (from Left to Right) B, A, C. This location is in building C, towards the back/upstairs. Interior: Very clean and fresh, bathroom located to your right of entering building and spa is located to the left, cozy place to sit to fill out your form, browse the pamphlet and smell the all natural lotions. 1 big room for waxing that is bright and clean. Julie is very sweet, listens very well and quite educated, she made me feel very comfortable (on something that is usually awkward) my Brazilian took 15mins and was painless! I have a VERY low pain tolerance. I won't "sugar coat" this and say that this process isn't painful. However, with someone as friendly and giggly and smiley as Julie, the pain is a lot more tolerable. The place is very clean and quaint. She genuinely cares about your well-being and will give you a towel to bite (yes, I'm like that!) or water, if needed. It's so easy to make an appointment. You can do it online in a jiffy, or via text, or call. It's all very technologically-friendly for such a little gem. Plus, you'll get an email reminder the day before and a text reminder the day of. I've tried a number of sugaring places on and off over the years, and Michelle at the Carlsbad location is one of the best experiences I've had.  She is kind,  attentive, and friendly.  You can tell she takes pride in her work, and goes out of her way to make you comfortable.  I give her 5 stars :) It's easy to make appointments and I've always been in and out quickly.   I do wish they offered some type of subscription or package for regular customers after you use the new customer intro pricing.  I asked one of the receptionists after my recent visit if they have coupons or discounts for buying in advance, or any other specials (I remembered after my first appointment a different receptionist had let me know to look for one in my emails), she told me they did not. I told her I knew there was something, I just could not find the email. She told me again there are no discounts they offer. I went home and found 2 emails that offered a discount, one if you leave a Yelp review (so here I am!) and one for my birthday. It would have been nice if she had let me know they offer these. She was not very helpful, or very friendly about it, either. It is more pricey than other sugaring places I've tried, so I gave 4 stars total and not 5. I hope I can still use my birthday discount, even though it is a couple months old. read more

It's so sore and inflamed. *Sugaring is completely different in method and much gentler for your hair growth, skin and sanity! 2.
