This is an overpriced restaurant, with not that friendly of staff at all. Rice is an important aspect of sushi and their flavor of the rice is extremely bland. Whenever I get the creamy scallop, the majority of it is sauce and there's like one mini scallop in the roll, that happened every single time. So lame. Admittedly we came to each just before closing, so I don't really know if my experience is the same as most people's here. The conveyor belt was sparse I expected as much as it was about half an hour From closing, but we ordered what we wanted from the server, only to have the sushi chef overhear and hand us an Oregon roll from the conveyor and handed it to us that looked like it was worse for wear and been sitting around for ages fish dry and avocado browning. The quick service would be nice, if it actually meant having the sushi freshly rolled to order or at least attempt to look decently fresh. I ended up having to put it back on the belt given how unpleasant it looked. All the fresh sushi was okay. Though I feel was pricy given what we ate and where we were. Rolls were really skimpy on the fish. Not impressed. Would have rated higher if the sushi even at frugal prices would have been of a better quality. the sushi is fine, nothing special. there isn't a ton of variety as a lot of them are slight variations of one another. I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants and there are for sure some rolls that don't seem very authentic. all in all, there was no wow factor for me and the prices are a little high for what you get. read more

I'm a regular for lunch on weekdays and it's great for a relatively quick lunch at the sushi bar. The conveyor belts move past the booth seating too if you have four or more in your group. If it gets busy (at times I've seen wait lines out the door) the service staff for drinks and special orders gets slower, but what I realized today is because many groups ask for separate checks causing one server to do nothing else but be the cashier. The sushi is pretty standard, popular items, such as rolls with salmon, crab, avocado, shrimp, and tuna combinations, but every time I've seen something more unique too. Good quality, good price. I usually like going to this restaurant, however, the more I go, the more I question it's legitimacy. Today I went and the food was still decent, but it seemed to be there was a new employee. One of the other employees was trashing her and criticizing her for making small mistakes in the main area. I found this to be quite disrespectful not only to a new worker, but even the customers. It was a busy night and it was completely obvious for me and my group of people to see how harsh they were being on her. I eat here a lot and mostly do the take out now. The last couple times I've gone in and ordered noodles it won't come out till everyone I am with is done eating. I don't actually like sushi but I love their noodles, spring rolls, and potstickers. I would recommend getting it to go over dining in. No matter how busy they have been really slow getting out my orders and have been dealing with some rude waitresses and who do not seem to want to be there. We ate there last Sunday, for my Brother in law's Birthday. I am not a huge fan of Sushi, generally, and less a fan of hype, and Sugoi had plenty of both, so I was leery, when I got there. To my surprise, the sushi was awesome! And it was totally worth the hype! The conveyor belt made sure that I had enough variety of stuff delivered in a timely fashion. And it was all pretty tasty! Some of the rolls were sort of confusing, and I didn't really understand the pricing, until one of the waitresses, Alora, I think her name was (But I'm not sure on the spelling of her name) explained how it work! It looks cheap but the plates are actually very small so one person can eat at least $20 easily. They are also very inconsistent and the fish they use does not taste fresh. My daughter and I love this place. Yes there's better sushi in the world for quadruple the price. The sushi is fresh, the conveyor keeps it cold and there's lots of variety. You can order off the menu and pay the same price as conveyor if your concerned with freshness. The tempura is also good. We are absolutely delighted to eat sushi to our heart's delight for under $30. As much as a sushi chef adds a certain ambience, walking in and eating directly makes it fast and uncomplicated. We haven't eaten at an expensive sushi restaurant since. If your some blue nose sushi gourmet, don't bother coming here. If you want a fast, completely affordable and to me, delicious sushi meal this is the place. We hope you're always there Sugoi, your even my four year granddaughter's favorite. This is my wife and my new place in town. The deep fried pot stickers are really excellent. Beer selection seems to have been chosen by a non-pacific northwest beer drinker. Also, I dislike the fact that their Philadelphia roll uses smoked salmon instead of raw salmon, but that is my personal (but important) preference. This isn't the best place nor the worst place I've been too. I came after the lunch rush around 330-4pm and maybe it was just the leftover sushi rolls that no one wanted but everything on the belt was pretty much the same thing. After eating about 5 dishes, I sat there for over 15 minutes just kind of unsure whether I wanted to order any rolls or just leave. Service was spotty and just seems MEH. I love conveyor belt sushi. It's sort of like a game show: Do I grab this thing in front of me now, or wait for something better? And yes, of course you can always order directly from the chefs, but that feels like cheating to me. Is this the best sushi in the world? Of course not. That is not why one eats conveyor belt sushi. Is it super affordable and filling? Hell yes. The fountain iced teas we ordered were constantly being refilled by very attentive and friendly wait staff, the prices were great. There wasn't quite the insanity (for good or ill) I have seen on other conveyor belts (I have seen tiny inch-long eclairs before!), and seemed to have most of the standard rolls and nigiri. The inari were a little disappointing-- the wrappers didn't have that touch of syrup-sweetness that I'm used to, but other than that, no complaints. You may want to call ahead to make sure there are seats, though. The place was packed when we went! read more
