Fantastic service, Lilly was a fantastic waitress especially and added more to the experience. Great ambiance, peaceful and all around friendly vibe. Food was amazing as well, super plentiful and tasted amazing. Would recommend!

Had a very horrible experience. I'm vegetarian and i ordered the vegetable gyoza through DoorDash because I'm currently sick and didn't feel well enough to pick it up. I received my order and as I took a bite I noticed they gave me beef gyoza so I had to spit it out and call them to see if they can re deliver the right order to me. They told me they can't have it re delivered to me but I can come and pick it up if I want a refund. So I had my Mother go pick up what I thought would be my correct order of vegetable gyoza from Sugoi Sushi. When I went to try the new "corrected" order it also had beef in it. I was very disappointed because I had already wasted money on DoorDash getting it delivered just for me to have to have my Mother have to go and pick up the "corrected" order that wasn't even corrected. I called to ask for a refund and the lady wanted me to drive back down there to show her. I explained that I'm not coming down there for a 3rd time. She argued with me not wanting to refund me trying to say I'm lying. She then gives me her number to send her a picture of the inside of the gyoza so I sent her a comparison photo of the first order that they messed up with beef with the now "corrected" order that still had beef. Keep in mind both gyoza was the same they both had beef in it. She continues to say I'm lying and isn't wanting to refund me. I explain that I'd would please just like a refund since I couldn't even eat the food and wasted money on DoorDash and on gas from having to drive down there. She tells me that she doesn't know what to do and acts confused as if I'm the business operator. I tell her confusedly that im just the customer and I would just like a refund. Still doesn't give me the refund and continues to argue till I asked To speak to someone else for the 5th time. PLACE IS NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY

When we stepped out to our car we were welcomed into the restaurant. The servers and crew had great hospitality, and they are very friendly. They each had different recommendations of what to order from the menu, which was helpful when deciding. Our server is very familiar with promotions. We settled on the order of 2 orders of the 2 item bento boxes teriyaki beef with crunch roll with crab has eel sauce, citrus salad sauce. The teriyaki beef was great cuts not fatty, the dish was not too sweet. Each dish and item was priced very well on the menu. I enjoyed my Jasmine hot tea. The server being trained is very attentive and helpful with recommendations of their menu.

Had a very horrible experience. I'm vegetarian and i ordered the vegetable gyoza through DoorDash because I'm currently sick and didn't feel well enough to pick it up. So my partner and I have been searching for a bomb sushi spot price/quality wise, and this is it! Who woulda knew the little hole in the wall sushi spot was surprisingly the best in the IE in my opinion (we've been to a lot.) The ambiance is fire (nice and quiet with nothing but bops to set the sushi eating/childhood nostalgia) the chefs and waitresses are always so inviting everytime we walk in; we're regulars now and still feel like it's our first time finding the best sushi spot ever! Service is always above par, most of the time the chefs throw you a lil something extra.. Love this place will be returning always 20/10 amazing spot for all of us sushi fiends read more

Tried to eat dinner here on 1/17. It wasn't packed. However, after our party (2 adults, 1 infant) a party of six came in. The server (she is newer, we've seen her a couple times now) served and got their orders first. Waited 15 minutes and still didn't even get our drinks. The party of 6 got their drinks and food ordered and an appetizer (which I saw they didn't event order to begin with...) had to just leave because other another party of two, who came in after us, were ordering. It's a shame. My family and I love coming here because the food is delicious and service is (usually) great... maybe some more training on priority on arrival order is needed... read more

Tried this spot for the first time and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the bento special and the Crazy Girl roll--both were super fresh and came out quick. The bento had a really good balance (perfect portions, everything cooked right, and the sides were actually worth eating, not just filler). The Crazy Girl roll was --great flavor combo and nicely put together, didn't fall apart like some places. read more

You definitely get a big bang for your buck here. The rolls here are very large. Two people can easily share a roll and be happy. The first time we came here we didn't know how big the rolls were and ordered way too much. Luckily it's not all you can eat so it ends up being cheaper and you can take it home! Great quality of tuna as well. This is the best sushi in Yucaipa by far! read more

She was more pleasant to deal with. However, neither should have been in a forward-facing customer service position. Strangely, hard to tell who oversees the servers but the only other staff present were the sushi chefs and they seemed oblivious to the lowsy service. IMO customer service is almost as important and the food quality, hence 3 stars. This was on a Thursday night and there was no seating, only sushi bar. They are obviously popular since the food is great, but you have to be willing to put up with the service. Will definitely be back, but maybe best to order for pickup and dine at home.

However, no one came by to ask if we wanted more, how we were doing, etc. And the chef feverishly worked at putting the remaining fish in the display case back in the fridge. I'm a regular customer at Sugoi Sushi. I just love the place! The atmosphere is lovely. The staff couldn't be more friendly. Whether you order sushi from Greg or cooked food from Martin, every bite is delicious. I try to order a different roll each time, kind of hard since I go there once a week or so. New ownership recently has turned this place into an absolute GEM. I have been a sushi fanatic for decades and this DIAMOND is my favorite place to sprint to. Not walk, not run, but SPRINT.
