Staff lied to us. We were going there doing the all u can eat. My daughter is 12 and she was getting 50% discount which is $16. All of a sudden they said the age limit was changed to 11 years old. We called later that day to confirm the changes. The person who answered the phone said the limit is still 12 years old. Not sure why they lied to us bit for sure we're not going back there. This is our go to place in Yucaipa! Amazing service and they are so quick on getting your order out. The Eskimo roll which is salmon wrapped with spicy crabmeat inside topped with eel sauce is mouth watering! Beef yakisoba noodles are so flavorful you won't be able to stop eating them. My wife and I were driving around Yucaipa looking for a place to satisfy our foodie lunch cravings for fish. We were debating between Lemon Shark poke and the 21 Sushi House. We ended up deciding on 21 Sushi house since we haven't been here in months. In the past we've typically gone here for dinner, however, today we arrived at 12:30 for lunch. We were surprised to see that there was only one other customer who is just finishing up his meal at the sushi bar. As we entered the front doors, we were welcomed by a 6 foot Christmas tree and an abundance of Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant. It was a pleasant sight to see and really livened up the place. The employees were friendly and welcoming, and gave us the opportunity to sit anywhere we liked they provided the regular menu as well as a menu of some of the special rolls. I decided to get the two item bento box with teriyaki beef, and a California roll which included miso soup salad, a heaping scoop of rice and an eggroll. My wife decided to get the Avenue L Sushi roll. When we got our food, I was mind blown by the generous portion sizes. With the rising cost and inflation, I was fully expecting small portions so naturally, I was shocked to see how much food was provided. Lots of options and the staff was really nice and on top of everything. I do recommend this over some of the ones up in San Bernardino that a lot of people like. My boyfriend and I came by on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy, we were seated right away. The food took a while to be served but it was well worth the wait! Everything was delicious, from the sushi down to the pickled ginger. The ambiance is inviting and the staff is friendly. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five was because of our server. She was friendly but in this case not in a good way. She stood and talked to the girls sitting in the table across from us for 30+ minutes. After about 20 minutes some of the other staff started to noticed she was not taking care of her tables so they all took turns coming by and asking if we needed refills or wanted to order some more food. From the moment we were sat to the moment we left our server came by a total of 1 time just to take our order. The service from our assigned server was extremely disappointing to say the least. It's a nice place. Everything we ordered was delicious, and between our party of 10, everyone had a bite of everything. They are very generous offering mussels on the AYCE menu as well, we must've ordered 20-30. Everyone loved them, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The price is right for AYCE and everything came out in batches so there was always something to eat. Another nice thing we noticed is that they don't limit you to three rounds. This has always been a dumb idea to me, and 21SH does it as a time limit from my understanding, so you can simply order less per round, with more rounds so you don't overorder. Service was great, and really we had nothing but good experiences. The only thing we wish they offered is real wasabi, not just the American horseradish type. This time bf tried the all-you-can-eat, which allows you 3 rounds of filling out the sheet and you can try anything. If you're hungry, this will be a great deal for you. No sharing, but I could share with him, since I only got one roll and gyoza. I got the Hot Cheetos roll! It was fun and tasted great, but I'm one to not be a purist about sushi, I'm sure many sushi snobs would find Hot Cheetos on sushi to be terrible. The nice thing about the Calimesa location is it's near Retrovolt Arcade, so a great date night idea. But Yucaipa's old town section is very charming, so we will be back again. read more

Familiar with the 21 Sushi House in Calimesa? If you are, look no further! Really though, look no further because we may just keep going to Calimesa until this new location catches up with the game. Overall, the menu, selections, and nearly everything is precisely the same except for "new business" nuisances they have yet to climb over. Most likely will take some time before returning here thanks to subpar performance in the critical areas. Because it's still new, in my humble opinion, they have a great deal going for a limited time (until mid Jan 2024, I think) with buy 2 get 1 free AYCE sushi! However, if marketing is the purpose to gain more customers then at least maintain quality at a high scale especially when it'll be easily compared to the location in Calimesa. I want to love this place since it's simply down the street and much closer to home! I have to be perfectly honest, though, and not render false expectations if you want to give this Yucaipa location a try. Areas of Improvement? Bolstered rice with lots of the sushi we received. Less rice please! Slow service thanks to staff without experience (give them time, I'm sure they'll be pros in no time). Being sat down at our table and having to flag staff down for utensils, chopsticks, plates, ginger, wasabi.. you get the idea. Had to list out the items for the waitress that should've been brought out at the start. Never asked if we would like to have high chairs despite clearly having 2 toddlers, thus walked over and helped ourselves. Salmon sushi was lack luster (our favorite). Baked green mussels lacked flavor and sauces that it wasn't anywhere close to 21 Sushi House quality at Calimesa! Had 2 large hot sakes and they were warm. Not hot. Eel sushi was dry and nowhere as tasty as Calimesa's. Seeing that they were so buys (and moving slowly besides a couple noticeably experienced workers compared to the sloths), we decided simply to enjoy the meal and not raise a fit at all. Striving Categories? Their sushi specialty rolls, stuffed jalapeños, miso soup, amd a couple of their sushi selections were simply delicious! Including more items that were part of the AYCE dining was a big plus (not sure if that's because it's new or being Holiday season). Biggest plus in Yucaipa's location compared to that of Calimesa's is having TVs!! We watched a Rams vs Saints live game for which it was incredibly nice to eat sushi and watch our teams play! Cleanliness is very, very well maintained. Location is great with plenty of direct parking on the lot along with additional spots closer to TJ Max. Ambience is classy and modernized with plenty of tables to serve many parties (tons of families were present at the time). Great setting for any occasion - solo dining, dates, family outting, friend hangouts, and having meals with coworkers. I'd highly recommend for all Yucaipians, near and far, to give this location a try! Just don't expect superb service and food compared to that of Calimesa's location (we were hoping to see our usual sushi chefs here). Our hypothesis is that this new location will eventually be the ONLY 21 Sushi House joint in the Yucaipa-Calimesa neighborhood. If that's the case, they really should bring over their best chefs and servers during this new opening phase to attract and gain loyal customers. Worth a try if you haven't stopped by yet, but just keep in mind they have lots to improve on so set your expectations low. read more
