First time shopping at Suitsupply. Walked in on a busy Saturday, and all associates were busy. Farhan was with 2 people already but came and greeted me warmly, and not in a rush. He gave a very brief intro to the company and even offered refreshments. As he was helping other people he would check in with me every few minutes and assure me he would be with me, he never once made me feel neglected. Great selection of suits, especially if you are looking for a slimmer, more European cut suit. I was shopping for a suit for my wedding, and was very interested in a blue suit with peak lapels... not a very common request, but Suitsupply had some great options!! While they didn't have my fit in blue, I was able to try on a different color to get the fit down, and they helped me order what I needed and shipped to my home in Dallas. The price point at $470 was more than I typically pay, but well worth the quality for this special occasion! To compare, I first went to J. Crew to try on the Ludlow... to me there was absolutely no comparison - Suitsupply by a mile, and the Ludlow would have cost me $200 more. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star review is because I had to wait about 15 minutes for the online order to go through. The sales associate (Gabe, I believe) was very nice and apologetic, and he did a great job with the fitting so I wanted to make sure he got the sale, but a less patient person may have just left and ordered online later. I realize that the store is just off the ground, so hopefully they get their technology figured out to avoid those situations in the future! Otherwise, 5 stars for sure. read more

Finally got the suit. It looks very good. 1st attempt at alterations had sleeves much too short. They got it right this time. Husband has been in 5 times in total to walk out with the suit. Be prepared that if you are very tall you may need a few trips in for revisions. read more

Let me just throw this out there first, when I visited, the store was busy but definitely not packed. The place has a vibe as if you were shopping at Express. If you hate shopping at Express (the music, the lighting, and chic kinda uptight feel of the store) then you'll probably not like shopping at Suit Supply. I will say that I'm not a guy that shops at Express, but it's not a deal breaker for me as long as the customer service is good. A family member asked me to get a custom suit for a big occasion...I also never wear suits....so to say that I know little about suits would be a fair statement. Anyways, after some googling for places in Houston, Suit Supply kept coming up, so I booked an appointment on their website for a custom suit. My very small party and I got there on time, and were greeted quickly and said they would be with us shortly. I ended up waiting over five mins near the register till an employee was available to help. I told them that I had an appointment, and they scrabbled around for another few mins looking for the employee that we had an appointment with. Turns out he was busy with another customer, and we ended up waiting another ten mins till he came over to apologize. Anyways, he got us started looking at fabrics while he finished up. I told him that I didn't know much about suits, but he asked what my budget was, and I said , I guess a $1000? In retrospect I guess this where things kinda turned. Perhaps I should of done my homework before coming, as custom suits start at $1000 at Suit Supply. He started pointing us towards certain fabrics, warning us that other fabrics would cost more. When I realized that, I said I was open to spending more as long as it made sense. We ended leaning towards a nicer fabric, but he gave us advice that a similar less expensive fabric was a better deal. He definitely gave us good advice so let me be clear on that. Anyways, I asked if we were going to take measurements, and he said that we would do that with our next appointment. I was confused, as I came in specifically for a custom suit, but I didn't want to be rude...perhaps that's how their appointments work? I assumed we were going to pick fabrics, a style and get measured. He ran off after giving his business card and writing down the fabrics names for us. We decided not to waste our trip, so we continued to browse the store. We continued to browse on our own, which to be honest felt awkward. After a while, an employee (that was super nice) came by to check on us. We ended up leaving the store all with a bag of mixed feelings. I feel like their business is definitely geared more toward the off the rack stuff, so I can see why others have had good experiences there. Look, I'm not a guy that writes reviews, but this is a lot of money for me personally so I figured I should for anyone else in the market of a custom suit in Houston. Perhaps I should of done my homework before showing up, or had unreasonable expectations going in. Here's the thing though, I booked another appointment immediately after my Suit Supply visit at a place nearby. I'm not going to name that business because that's not what this review is about. I had a much better experience there, things were on time, the attendant was patient to me, and more importantly could tell that pleasing my family was even more important than pleasing me....so I gladly ended up ordering a $2000 suit that afternoon. read more

I really like their shirts, as they are a pretty decent price and they seem to fit me a lot better than a lot of other shirts made in the US. Unfortunately, they seem to wear quite a bit near the elbow. This shouldn't be an issue, as shirts just wear over time and I feel you need to take that for granted. I was a little disappointed however when I came in to return one of my shirts that I've probably worn 7 or 8 times within 4 months after purchase, having the same wear on the elbow, and was sent to their tailor to stitch it up. Considering I don't wear jackets at work and the patch on my elbow just looks sloppy, I'm going to have to toss this shirt. Overall, I like the store and their selection, the service after purchase could be a little better. read more

I came to Suitsupply mostly for the good ratings on yelp and their product line. I purchased one of their higher-end suits and the general tailoring was fine. They seemed to err on the side of more modern tailoring and slimmer fits which appealed to me. Where things went wrong is when I requested what I consider to be a simple detail. I wanted side adjusters on the pants instead of belt loops. At first they were accommodating - a lot of their suits have similar details and multiple of the employees were wearing pants with them. All I needed to do was bring in the buckle I wanted to use. The first time I went to pick up the suit, the straps were backward. I pointed out the mistake and they acknowledged the error, saying they would fix it. I came back a second time and I pointed out that the buckle was on backwards, essentially rendering it useless and unable to hold tension. Again they said it would be fixed. I came back a third time and the buckle was still on backwards, with no visible alterations to the pants being made. I came back a fourth time and the mistake had been corrected. The experience required me to take 3 unnecessary trips to their store with them finally getting it right on the last trip. Every time I went in I was helped by a different representative. Each was nice enough and said "sorry", but these felt like empty apologies. No one really seemed to take ownership of the issue, and I was ultimately "helped" by 3 of Suitsupply's employees. My ultimate take on this location is that it's a nice showroom where you can try on most of the items in their catalogue. But, if you know your suit size, then I recommend buying online and taking it to a tailor you trust or have worked with before. I'm left with serious reservations about returning. read more

I took my youngest 20-something brother here in fall 2015. My then-bf HIGHLY recommended it. I trust him on such matters bc he is very, very stylish, and we're both from NYC. The male employees are stylish! The whole store is a beautiful array of masculine choices!! I loved that I could introduce my brother to affordable, SOPHISTICATED looks in menswear. Know there are not just suits here! Being here made me miss NYC so much. I swooned all over the place. Clothing eye-candy everywhere. I'm an artist (read tactile and discerning eye) who also part timed in the finance world of Manhattan. I petted so many of the items here, and daydreamed for my brother. The salespersons are discerning, respectful and relaxed enough that it's okay we didn't really know how to shop for a beginning wardrobe of suits. Our... consultant took his time w us, and it was SO appreciated that we could trust he wasn't blindly biased to just getting a sale done. The best place in Houston to get a suit. They have the most up to date styles and hundreds of options to choose from. The salesperson Farhan was very helpful and took his time to help me pick the perfect suit, tie, and pocket square combo. Alteration turnaround time is very quick as well. The service I received here was phenomenal! I was Farhan Janjua and he was very knowledgable about the suit selections, fits, tie/shirt combinations, etc. When I went in to buy my suit, I went in with the idea that plain/solid suits were the only things that suited me. I liked the idea of other patterned suits, but never actually bought one, until I talked with Farhan at SuitSupply. That day, I walked out with an order on a three piece navy window pane suit, and two days ago, I bought a Lazio stripe 3 piece as well. Farhan also suggested a few shirt and tie combinations which looked "killer" to say the least. I wanted a new suit for my daughter's wedding. I went first to Men's warehouse and Nordstrom's. Then to Suit Supply (I am a long term subscriber to Business Week and had read the article some time back). The experience a Suitsupply was superior in everyway to the first two. Mario worked with me the fit, style, tailoring was amazing. The suit fit as if it were custom tailored; I did not feel like it was on me.
