A short moment later, he told me that he would be helping me out and I'm so glad he did. I ended up buying a custom suit which, I definitely needed. I felt confident in the choices I made because of Jarrett's attention to detail, advice, and customer service. Even though it was busy, I never felt rushed even when I took time to make decisions. He took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions patiently. I never felt pressured to buy even though I told him twice I'm just looking. I just booked a trip to Monaco, France and was in need of a luxury suit & other apparel so I drove nearly an hour to visit my first Suit Supply. My excitement was short-lived, as I received some of the worst customerservice I've ever experienced. Ever! As I walked into the store, I began to browse, hoping to connect with a friendly face so I could begin spending. Minutes flew by and still nothing. Not a greeting not a nod, not even an acknowledgment. I walked up to a salesman and asked if he worked at the store. He looked up from his iPad & with an annoyed glare said that he was already helping two other people and that I would have to put my name into the waiting list. This is my first time here so I had no idea such thing existed. The man rushed off without further interaction. I then tracked down another employee and asked where I would join said waiting list. She too was quite busy and annoyed with my request, but she offered a QR code and so I scanned it to join the waiting list. I continued waiting for nearly half an hour. I then asked another associate who also was very annoyed at my presence about how long I'd have to wait. He told me that they were very busy (although there was no one in the store) and that it would be at least another 30 minutes. I left the store and began shopping at other locations. I spent an hour and finally decided to stop back in (I had received no update whatsoever). When I returned, I was told that there was still one more person ahead of me that hadn't showed and that if they didn't show they could possibly get to me in about 20 minutes. I decided that Suit Supply wasn't for me so I went to the Nordstrom's around the corner and found an incredible suit. I ended up buying a beautiful luxury suit for just over $2000. And while I am grateful to Nordstrom's and the wonderful associate who helped me, I can't help but feel that not only did suit Supply miss out on a good sale & loyal patron, but perhaps I'm not the only one they've done this too. After looking at the reviews, it seems like this is a common occurrence. I'm not sure where selling suit became so important that customer service is discarded but I don't imagine suit supply will be opened very long with this type of poor performance. I wish I could tell you that the suits were good or bad or anything at all, but I can't. I simply was not given the time of day. Oh well. My money went to a Better store and I now have a beautiful suit to wear to Monaco France. In the future, I hope that suit supply will treat their clients with basic kindness and human decency. If I could rate this a 0 stars, I would. Today, my fiancé and I were looking for his suit/tuxedo for our wedding. It was our first store and first time ever looking. We were told we wouldn't be able to try on anything in the fitting rooms unless we were planning on purchasing. This felt like a "Pretty Woman" moment. (I hope you understand this reference.) I'm just shocked because having the intent to buy is different from saying you're for sure buying something? It's similar to telling a bride, oh we can't let you try on wedding dresses unless you're planning on purchasing a dress. I just wanted to address this because this was completely unprofessional. I then asked a different employee for assistance where she told me it was a two hour wait and I'm more than welcome to put our name on the waitlist because they had a lot to go through and a lot of appointments. I've worked in the customer service industry and I know that's what they say to deter you from putting your name down. The wait was not 2 hours. We got a text to come back 20 minutes later. I came in mid-June 2025 for a custom suit for my October 2025 wedding. I planned ahead and scheduled an appointment, so the whole process was smooth. I received my suit in mid-July and it fit perfectly with no additional alterations needed. Edi helped me and I chose him based on his experience and strong reviews on the SuitSupply site. He was great to work with. Super good vibes, very thorough, and gave solid recommendations on fabrics and customizations. Since my wedding location would be around 50-60 degrees, he suggested flannel. Then I opted with custom stitching under the collar, inside the jacket and pleats in the pants. I also appreciated that he was genuine and never tried to upsell me on extras. He nailed my measurements and the fit was spot on. My only gripe is value. Because I went custom, I couldn't get the discounted package that includes the shirt, tie, cufflinks, and shoes. The off-the-rack package is about $999 before tax, but my custom tux with everything else came out to around $1,690 before tax. That's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I think the value could be better, especially considering the suit is manufactured in China. As far as the store goes, they're helpful but it's better if you have an appointment. It can get busy so make sure to plan ahead. They also offer beer or sparkling water depending on how long you stay or if you end up making a large purchase. read more

Awful experience and customer service. - Went in for a groomsman fitting April 30 for custom pants. Event was mid June, 6 weeks away. Was told it was plenty of time. Jarrett seemed knowledgable and helpful. - Was notified by email second week of may it was delayed and expected May 24-26 - no problem, still plenty of buffer. - No updates on my pant order by the 3rd week of May. Emailed customer service to follow up- was told there's no problem it'll come - May 24 came and went. Had tracking info but item was not moving. Emailed customer service again - they said no problem with the order don't worry - 4th week of May - all other groomsman got their pants, mine still no updates. Emailed customer service a 3rd time- again said no problem it's on its way. - First week June - I called them and they said "oh yeah yours are stuck in customs. We'll follow up in a couple days with you" - Umm what? why would nobody tell me this when I emailed several times to follow up on the status? - Shocker - nobody called me back - Went in person to the store again. Got similar off the shelf pants, which they attempted to tailor as best they could in house. I then had to bring them to a nearby tailor since their tailor could not add belt loops. Paid $50 out of pocket for that. Of course they didn't offer to cover that cost. - No refund for the difference it pant cost offered. When I asked Jarrett about it (off the shelf pants were significantly cheaper), he proceeded to tell me in a very pompous manner that they "didn't charge for the in house tailoring" so it ends up being pretty similar. Are you serious? Why would I pay more on top of the original custom price order for tailoring when I didn't even get the pants? Plus I paid $50 to an actual tailor on top of the original cost since your tailor can't do it, so now I've paid over $300 for not my original order and a makeshift solution that won't exactly match the groomsman? Jarret also told me can't do any price adjustment until the original order arrives, which was still stuck in customs..... obviously not in my control. Umm ok that makes no sense. So if they never come I would never get the refund? Not to mention the extra trips to suit supply, going to get it rush tailored at a 3rd party place, and the annoyance of following up several times. - Got a notification a few weeks after the original event saying the custom pants are ready for pickup. - Well it was too late anyway - I didn't need them anymore - I went through the return process - couldn't do it online - had to call. Was hung up on the first time. Finally got through and was assured that it would be refunded to the card that I used after a 35 min hold - 3 weeks later, they ultimately sent me a gift card credit instead of a refund!! - what scammers - your policy says full refund on custom orders, yet you try to give me a credit instead? - Had to call customer service again, who said they'd refund within 3-5 business days. - Refund finally posted today, over 2 months after this saga started. I'd expect A+ customer service from a place like suit supply especially given the premium prices you pay, but there was no communication, a complete lack of organization, and ultimately frustration at every stage. In total, I wasted 10+ hours through the entire process. With all their screw ups, you would think they'd be proactively offering a good solution including a refund when I didn't even get the originally ordered pants in time for the event after they kept assuring me I would. I have been with my husband to this SuitSupply location twice and he successfully purchased two suits with the help of Wayne who is a great Style Advisor and has helped my husband get very well-fitted suits. Prior to his appointment, Wayne reached out to ask what he was looking for, and when we came in, Wayne already knew exactly which suits to pull right away for my husband to try on. The process went very quickly- they had dress shirts and shoes for him to try on with the suits. We were able to come back for the tailored suit in 2 hours (during non-peak season). Turned out it's a balance of poor customer service and snobby attitudes. I walked in on a weekday and it wasn't busy. There was 1 other customer and about 5 employees on the floor. 3 of them were standing around pretending to be busy. I got no help and eventually asked one of the workers doing nothing for help. He acted like he was doing me a favor. I realize Fashion Island can have a reputation of being snobby but one would think these staff members were the owners...of the entire mall. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he kept up with modern styles, as well as traditional suit options. My husband and I are going to Monaco and he needed a suit . We were not in fancy clothes and look young for our age so they did not give us a glance . One persons review said it was like a pretty woman moment and that is so accurate. The highest quality suits for the price in the game. This place brings in fabrics directly from the Italian mills and instead of paying $5000 because it says Gucci, you get the same quality under the Suit Supply umbrella for $600-900 on average. I highly recommend this place, especially if you can find yourself a good sales person who knows clothes and how they fit on Men. I used Abdiel but unfortunately he isn't at this location anymore. When you walk in there are racks and racks of beautiful clothes color coordinated. It will be hard not to want to buy it all. Coats, pants, jackets, ties, pocket squares and even shoes. General customer service in this store is beyond awful. They are severely understaffed and don't even allow you to try on anything from the rack unless you have an appointment. They are awful at giving you instructions when you come into the store. I walked into the store and was browsing around, yet no one mentioned that I needed to sign up on a waiting list if I wanted to try on some options. What is the point of even allowing walk ins if I can't try a single thing on? They are not good at communicating effectively and it's probably due to the fact that they slam their appointments back to back. If I'm buying a custom suit for more than 1k, I expect a better customer experience. If I am making a purchase and need more time for my customization, I should NOT be rushed b/c you have someone else to cater to 30 minutes after. ALSO, who tells a customer not to move the suits on the rack when they are trying to look at them but rather to tell an associate to pull it out. I love SuitSupply. Friends, family, business associates in different cities... They all know I love SuitSupply. Been that way since 2016. I've visited their stores in San Francisco, Houston, and Las Vegas. However, I'm in the LA-area, so the Century City and Venice stores are my local shops. If you've followed my SuitSupply reviews (a few I've deleted) on those stores, you know I've unfortunately had a terrible time. (I kept it real on my Yelp reviews, but Yelp HQ decided not to renew me for Elite in 2024. Yelp local Community Managers messaged me stating their suspicion was some of my negative reviews not reflecting Yelp HQ's values of having Elite reviewer be "ambassadors... I'm not going to be fake... I'm keeping my reviews real.) They were repeated, serious and truly inept retail service problems... And I'm a HUGE fan and repeat customer. I filed complaints in years past, and got a call from their regional manager based in San Francisco. Nice guy, but dumb service problems persisted. (For anyone who wants examples, just message me.) I still continue to order SuitSupply clothes online. Been fewer suits in the last 2-3 years. More on things like shorts, polos, dress shirts and sweaters. But enough background. I'm here to tell you: SuitSupply Newport Beach is FANTASTIC. From now on, I'm driving down from LA to SuitSupply Newport Beach. No more Century City for me. My experience: Everyone in the store was friendly, attentive and helpful. I was late for my tailoring appointment. I called them in advance to let them know and they fully accommodated me even though they were really busy. Edri was my advisor. I completely recommend him. He's upbeat, funny, knowledgeable, detailed... Everything you'd want. The tailoring on my suits were ready earlier than promised... Got done in a day! Alexander helped me during pickup. Suits are below average for what they are charging! Had a full custom suit made for my daughter's wedding. Pants came back 2 sizes too big. The shirt had to get resized twice. The staff was trying to tell me I look good so I would just accept the sub par tailoring the first time. Had to tell them it 3 times it wasn't right before they agreed to resize the darts. Very little training on what and how to make garments fit well. Sold me way too large of a shirt to begin with and shirt darts look like giant torpedos!! Going back to my normal tailor! read more

I went here to see what type of suit I could buy or we could customize for my wedding. Because suits can come in all kinds of patterns, styles, etc. I'm pretty open to finding something that looks and feels right and we can alter our colors as is appropriate for the rest of our party. If I could describe the customer service in two words they would be dismissive and unprofessional. After making an appointment and showing up on time the sales rep walked us through a book of swatches, had me try on a suit and then said to schedule an appointment if we want a suit. He ended up helping someone else that just walked in DURING my appointment. We got 20ish minutes of his time before he went for an easier sale. I walked out feeling like the whole experience was a joke and bought a nice suit at Gary's. Funny that I had to go somewhere else to review options, try them on, see what fit and looked good, etc. when customizing and building your suit is supposed to be suit supply's whole schtick. All in all, terrible experience and I wasn't about to revisit fashion island a second time for suit supply. After being brushed off during my visit when I'm actively trying to buy a suit for my own wedding (definitely going to need one!) I went to procure a suit and needed it within two weeks. Sales associate was very helpful and helped me pick out a suit with suggested tailoring. Unfortunately that suit was not available so he had to order from another store. Five days later the suit was still not transferred (seems like communication drop off between both sides), and after several follow ups on my part there was still no confirmation on the suit. Ultimately I said I would have to go to another store. If I were owner of the store I would be extremely agitated that a meaningful sale simply was not made out of failure to communicate or manage inventory between two stores. I have to believe based on this experience that there are other servicing holes and issues, due to poor management. I hope others have better experience. read more

I'm not sure what sort of black magic EDI was working with but whatever it was he used some of it to, and I don't use this word lightly, transform me, into what I envisioned a suit's capabilities to be. Edi was able to "solve" my vision including consultation, selection, fit and yes, tailoring, all within 55 minutes. Tailoring complete in two days (promised in five). His literal gift for style is an added value to the selection and purchase process. We never felt any pressure, and I don't even recall the POS or the time because it was just so seamless. Wish I received my suit because it was a good looking one that fit just right but their "automated" customer service after they have your money is terrible. Came into suit supply in search of a summer suit in March. Sales person was very helpful and alterations needed to be made. As soon as I swiped my credit card everything went downhill. I received an email with the receipt and was told I would get an email & text when the alternations were done. Never got that email, text or a courtesy call and with a busy schedule, I forgot about the suit because it wasn't needed until a summer wedding. A couple of months pass by and I'm reminded of the upcoming wedding and it hits me that suit supply never called me about my suit. I search my email for a confirmation that it was ready and only found the original receipt. Because of the lack of automated follow up, I start thinking the suit was on the pricier side, do I really need it? Terrible automated customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. Why wouldn't someone from fashion island just pick up the phone to let me know my suit was ready? Corporate tells me no refunds are allowed on altered items. Go pick up your suit. Even with the crap attitude/customer service from everyone involved at suit supply it's still a nice suit. I send someone to pick up my suit. They don't have it! According to sales person who has to call his manager to figure out what to do, If I don't go in tomorrow I will be out a suit and money but if I make it in they might be able to make it right. What are you even saying? Where's my paid, altered and non refundable suit? Person that attempted to pick up the suit said they had attitude and never once apologized. She asked why not pick up the phone and call the customer to let the know they are about to get rid of a paid & altered suit? Our automated customer service doesn't allow for that. I came here to get a suit for a wedding. I was in the store for about 10 minutes and NOT one employee acknowledged me. They were moderately busy and I made eye contact with a few employees, but none even said hello or asked if I needed help. I've worked retail in the past and know this is unacceptable. I walked out and went to a couple of other stores, but decided to come back to see if could get service as I needed a suit. This time I went to an employee and let him know that I would like to purchase a suit and he told me he would place me on the "wait list," but that someone would see me soon. While waiting I overheard employees chit-chatting about their weekend plans and saw a few just folding clothes. I stood around in the back for quite a while and even selected the suit I wanted as they did have a nice selection - when someone finally did come, I was told to make an appointment and leave my cell phone to get a text message when an associate would be available. As much as I was looking forward to a new suit from here, I decided to leave and got immediate help next door at another retailer. read more

This Sosa guy, was dismissive from the start, not sure why because he looked like a high school dropout. Upon putting me on the waitlist, I got a message saying "You're waitlisted". Immediately after, I got another message saying "It's your turn. Please return in 5 min." He said don't worry about the message you just got, we'll message you later to come back. Sure enough, never got a message the rest of the day and the link said "You've been marked as a no-show" when clicked on. This is highly unprofessional and this know nothing should be let go before he causes more damage to the store/brand. Other staff were way more friendly while in the store. read more

He was able to give me a time frame on when the alterations were complete, which was less than 1 hr. He was very professional and accommodating. *Note: I am talking about a few locations but this review is specifically about Newport location. I will write a review about our experience in San Diego on their page. My boyfriend is a groomsman for a wedding and they needed a specific style and color to match with the whole grooms party. We made an appointment for fitting for a suit because it was recommended than just walking in. We provided the suit that we needed to our suit advisor Johnathon. He took out 3 different size suits. The first suit was a little too small then we tried on the second suit. The second suit fit perfectly. Now the problem was that they did not have that size in stock in store so Johnathon recommended we order online. As my bf was trying on tops and bottoms, Johnathon was checking online to place the order. When my bf was all done, Johnathon said that the size we needed was not available online. However, the size was available in the San Diego location. He recommended that we contact San Diego asap and ask them to hold it for us. He gave us the size that he fitted him and style number to provide to San Diego. First off, I don't understand why we had to communicate with San Diego location...wouldn't the proper customer service be to contact them in store and ask to hold a suit for their customer?! We felt like we were being rushed too. But regardless, we contacted San Diego and luckily they had the size and we're able to hold it for us for 24 hours. We took the drive down to San Diego from Irvine the next day. We arrived when they first opened without an appointment. They were able to help us right away. However the problem is that our advisor in Newport did not give us the right size. When they had my bf try on the suit we asked to hold, it was small. He was not properly fitted and we drove all the way to San Diego for the wrong size. Unfortunately, they did not have the size he needed in store. The only store that had the size we needed was in Virginia and not available online. They said they would contact Virginia to send the suit to Newport and keep in contact with us. San Diego contacted my boyfriend via email and said that Newport will be receiving the suit and Newport should be follow up and contact us directly. However, we were not contacted by Newport so we contacted them. Edi said they had no idea what we were talking about. He keep telling my boyfriend they were short staff and didn't have time to look up the information. We respect and understand that it's difficult when it is short staff but all we were looking for was how can they help us get the suit. Edi said he wanted to contact San Diego first. Edi said he would call us back but he never did. No accountability. My boyfriend called Newport the next day to see if it was all figured out. No response from Newport so we called San Diego. We explained the situation and she said she will see what she can do for us. San Diego saw that it was back on stock online so she ordered it for us. We had it sent to our house so we did not need to go back to the store. She said they will figure out the whole Newport situation and we don't need to worry about it. And we never heard from Newport location since that last call. We received the suit in the mail 3 days later. We finally got it all figured it out a whole week later. What an annoyingly stressful situation. Customer service and communication within the the store and other locations are poor. I would be cautious about shopping here unless you have too. I'm sure our situation was unique and doesn't happen all the time BUT I would make sure to double check everything, look at the sizes yourself, check online, see all your options before confirming anything so you don't waste your time! read more

Sassy Eddie could use a little extra training/ education on customer service. ( I think may be the very 1st bad review I've ever given out on yelp but this one really deserved it) Ordered a coat last week and it didn't fit the same when I got it as when I tried it in store 2 weeks ago so I brought it in to compare. I asked Eddie to try on the same coat(size 40) and refused to let me try the same size. Kept saying "no I'm bringing you size 38" I said Eddie I'm serious I'd also like to try on the 40 just to double check so I can exchange if the one in store fit better. And he said "no, I'm bringing you 38". I thought to myself is this guy serious????Lol Lol... long story short he came back out and said he didn't have any of those sizes but the strong sass energy gave me the feeling it wasn't true... Checked in on the next very same day and lo and behold they had 2 size 40s in stock. Literally worst customer service. I go in and they have like 3 male customers they are taking care of. I was planing to purchase a female suit and shirts. I needed to ask questions about the suits and nobody even came to help or acknowledge me. They also closed the door and locked the shop after I entered during their business hour and without giving any explanation. I was locked inside and not acknowledged by anyone. Such a waste of time! They lack any customer service and respect for customers. Never coming back again. This place not only discriminate against women, but sees women as unnecessary to serve and provide adequate customer service to. They don't carry any female piece in the store and they will only recognize men and assist them when you visit. After I requested one of the store staff, Trevor ( the blonde small guy) to help open the door, he didn't even apologize or say anything. He didn't even explain anything. Won't be buying another suit from here again. I wasn't able to pick up my alterations in time because I was out of the country so they destroyed the two suit pants I paid for without a single phone call or email besides the one letting me know my alterations were ready. No replacements or store credit, just GTFO loser. Absolutely cold and uncommunicative customer service. Could be replaced by robots and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I was on the phone with Jesse from the store and he hung up on me the first chance he could. Next call went straight to voicemail. Two stars because their flashy gigolo suits do get a lot of compliments. Just remember that once they've made their commission off you, you're nothing more than a corpse knocking against their hull. read more

I picked up 11 suits from here over the past five/six years or so, 9 of which were fitted by Edi. I got just about all types of suit they offer, everything from off-the-rack suits that were tailored for me to fully custom-made off of the fabric I chose. Got mine and wedding teams suits here too for the big day. Super friendly group of folks here and Edi definitely knows what he is doing, hence the reason I keep coming back whenever I put on several more pounds.... Look for Edi as he's very down to earth, will be honest with you regarding the look of style on you, the recommendations on customizations, the price, and etc. Definitely make appointment as these guys are always occupied if you just walk in. read more

We walked in today to get an appointment at your fashion island location. They told us they would be happy to put us on the list and it would be about an hour, we said no problem and offered to stay in the area. We went to another store to look thinking we had an hour and at 12:12 we got a text to back to the store. We walked into the store at 12:27 for our appointment. We checked in and the guy disappeared for a few minutes and came back and said he would not honor our appointment and we would have to go back on the wait list. He said they give a 15 minute grace period and we were past that (but we weren't past that when we walked in). I looked at my phone 12:29 and said but we're 3 minutes past (bad math on my part). He still said no and we walked out. I could not believe that a store who services customers would be so unaccommodating. I went back in and spoke to the manager. At no point during this conversation was there an apology, or acknowledgement that we were within the policy or anything done to accommodate the appointment. Even saying we will put you next it will be 5-10 minutes would have been fine. Just a we will put you back on what was supposed to be an hour wait list. The arrogance by your associates was so off putting. Based on the other reviews it seems par for the course, maybe some additional customer service training is needed here. read more

Not the kind of person who ever enjoys shopping in person, but I was really happy with my purchase experience from measurements to alterations to final delivery of the suit. Working with Moose was awesome. He went above and beyond to help me through the process from start to finish and I can't recommend him enough! The men working here are a joke. One of the "guys" working there felt the need to run around and almost collide with my mom.... and couldn't even say excuse me. Called him out on it and he flamboyantly responds about how "we move fast here" LOL. Then got told how I couldn't try on a jacket to make sure the size is right..... Went next-door to Indochino and Gary's and got 3 custom made suits for a better price than their off-the-shelf garbage and was treated with the upmost respect. I will never give Suit Supply my business again. read more
