Extremely disappointed. I've been coming here for over five years and have always loved this place, so this experience was really upsetting. I had a massage with Paula today, and even though I kept asking her to please focus on my upper body, she wouldn't. When she finally did, it was only for a minute and felt very rushed. After I asked again, her attitude completely changed. She became rough, seemed annoyed, and made me feel uncomfortable for simply asking for what I wanted worked on. I understand everyone has off days, but there's no reason to be rude or aggressive with a customer. I had to ask the lady to please adjust the temp or give me more blanket. She heated the bed but when I'm facing down, my whole naked back was exposed so I was chilly. I also had service for cupping. I prefer deep tissue massages, and Pom (I think that was her name) did an excellent job by putting the correct pressure at the right spots. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is located on a busy street so occasionally you hear cars go by. They also have soft spa music playing in the background which helps. Either way it does not take away from a relaxing experience. Tried their NEW body scrub with my mom and you come out super soft and smooth. The whole experience is like scrub, aromatherapy, Thai/Swedish massage in ONE. Worth it! I think we just recommended 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes since the back is more focused and so the front is a bit rushed at 60 minutes. Overall will come back and do it again. Recommended by my mom who had Patti who's there everyday but Wednesday and I had Julie who is really good and Thai massage and stretches. I am so glad that I found Sukho Thai Healing Center through Yelp while researching for a great local massage business. First of all, the name Healing attracts my attention right away and after seeing so many reviews. I have decided to give them a call and I was so lucky to be able and schedule the appointment the same day. They have their own parking and it is quite easy to find. Once I walked in, I was greeted by my masseuse Patty right away and I filled out the simple questionnaire. She asked me to remove my shoes before entering to the massage room. It is a very comfortable, clean and zen room that she puts me in. The music was very soothing and before she starts the massage, she uses hot towel to wipe my hands and feet. Her pressure is perfect for me (I suspect light to medium) I have been to many massage studios whether expensive or reasonable, expensive doesn't always mean the best and vice versa. I could tell that she knows what she is doing, she hits every single acupuncture point and she takes time to work on my neck, shoulder and back. I chosen the Thai Combo package 90 mins and it is so worth it. After I finish my massage, I feel so alive so relief and so looking forward to my next session. She knows the trigger points, and even the ones hidden deep in my shoulder blades. I love that she also checks in to make sure that the pressure is ok! This feels like a sanctuary of a place. Once you enter, you're surrounded by zen aroma and music. The massage area is also dimly lit and isolated from the outside noise. The place is next to a Sushi place. When you get out of your car you smell fried food but once you walk into the establishment you no longer smell the Sushi place. Sukho is cozy and very friendly. I was greeted upon arrival, filled out a profile sheet and they got started with my massage even thought I was at least 10 minutes early. Patty was amazing!! She asked me where why I was here and I told here about my should/neck that had been bothering me for about 5 weeks. She got to work on me right away. Did I mention how amazing Patty is? I left there feeling relaxed and my shoulder/neck felt better but NOT completely fixed. I asked if I could book an appt for Friday and was told that I should wait at least two weeks. WHAT? This healing center is clean and as soon as I walked in it gave me this very calm feeling, immediately I know that I am get the right place, my friend told me to book with their masseuse Patty. I requested deep tissue massage, and patty made sure to ask me what part of my body was the current problem before we started. I told her my legs were so sore, and she quickly started the session. Coming to this place is such a treat. It's a tad pricier than other Thai massage in the area but the quality of massage you get is extraordinary. I suffer from chronic back pain for almost 20 yrs now due to scoliosis, whiplash and other fun stuff. So Im not new to massages. On my first visit, last week, I was searching for a nice massage that could really help with the extreme pain and tension in my neck. While waiting at urgent care due to my neck pain, I found this establishment on Yelp and made an appointment online. Upon arrival, there is a large parking area off Baseline Rd next to the establishment. The location is very convenient, right off the 210 fwy exit. I was immediately greeted, asked to remove my shoes, and escorted to the massage area. It's nice to know that shoes are not allowed in the massage area so that it's kept clean. Patty noticed my limited motion, discomfort and felt the tension in my neck and shoulders. She was very gentle in warming up my muscles and tissues for the massage. Patty was very tentative and allowed me extra time to position myself due to my pain. After the massage, I felt a lot better. I had a bit more motion and slightly less discomfort. Before leaving, I immediately scheduled my follow-up appointment with Patty for an hour-and-a-half with cupping for the following week. By the time my second appointment came around, I felt a lot better. The hour-and-a-half massage felt like nirvana. I felt like I was half-asleep most of the time. I was so at ease and relaxed. The initial part of the cupping felt like a pinch, but I would just breathe through each and then it felt warm and numbing. Again, Patty was absolutely wonderful and tentative. My first time here and I had Patty! I did a 60 min Thai combo and added cupping-- and boy it was amazing! I've done yoga in the past so I am all about the stretching. It was a combo of a normal massage and some stretching with my legs and arms. They asked me beforehand if you want them to step on your back (which I think is Thai style), and if you're ok with massage in the face (like your temples) and scalp -- so I really appreciated that since some places don't ask and just do it . Patty's pressure was perfect right away--medium firm --but she will ask you if her pressure is ok. This was my second time trying cupping-- so I knew initially it kinda hurts but when you relax the mind and breathe eventually it's not so bad. I just remember the first time I did it (somewhere else) how energized I felt the days that followed after cupping so I feel like it works. Patty did the cupping part on my back while she worked on my legs-- so about 10-15 min. I think her working on my legs actually helped keep my mind off the cups. I felt so good and relaxed afterwards -- and no pain or anything from the cupping either. I am absolutely coming back ! Thai massages are officially my thing! Btw Yelp said it's closed Sundays, but I would recommend calling them first because I came on a Sunday!
