Building quite typical on the outside and then the "WOW!" moment when we got inside -- Beautiful decor and ambience. First time to patronize this restaurant and was encouraged when the couple leaving the restaurant told the waiter how good the food was. We had vegetable spring rolls as an appetizer. My husband and I were looking for good sushi closer to home, and this fits the bill beautifully!! The place is very clean, and the staff is darling, friendly and upbeat. Now, let's get to the important part -- the food! Crab rangoons are crispy and fresh, a bit on the sweet side as another reviewer noted. I had the Norwalk and Crazy Tuna rolls, and my husband had tuna sashimi and a California roll -- all were fresh, well-rolled and had great flavor. Half of each is secured and going home for dinner!! What a disappointment! I can not believe this place is 4 1/2 stars!!?? I don't even understand how they packed our sushi rolls. One container was labeled... none of the rest were. One of our specialty rolls had quite a few to it, the other one has 4 pieces... $13 for half a roll? The sushi itself was so disappointing. ONE ROLL, only one roll came with ginger and wasabi. It was barely enough for that one, just charge more if you can't afford it. The caviar wasn't very good either. The shredded crab meat, was like ground up little shards instead of shredded crab. It is the sweetest sushi I've ever had, I think they roll it in sugar. Speaking of sugar, their crab Rangoon was a greasy, under cooked (I think your oil needs to be hotter), and floppy, sugary substance. Worst I've ever had, skip this for sure. When we called they picked up, put us on hold and set the phone down for over 10 minutes left us there. We finally hung up and couldn't call back because the line was busy because they totally forgot about us. Skip this place and go somewhere else. read more

I have been wanting to go here for awhile but it just never happened and with a friend coming in from out of town it made sense because she loves sushi! I am a sushi beginner and there was plenty on the menu for someone a bit hesitant to eat seafood to try, as well as lots of non-sushi Asian cuisine if sushi isn't your thing! I ordered the potstickers, the California roll, and the chicken tempura roll! I also tried the Sapporo beer. Everything was delicious and came quickly from the kitchen. The staff was quick and kind and helpful and took the time to talk to us as well, which was nice. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and decorated very cute as well! I was not expecting to find such great Japanese food in Norwalk! This is my second visit -- both times I've ordered takeout and have been very pleased with the quality and quantity. This visit I got the hibachi chicken dinner, dumplings, and a spicy tuna roll (don't judge me...I ordered while I was starving and ended up sharing with people lol). The hibachi dinners come with a side salad and soup like you get in a Japanese steakhouse, so it ends up being quite a lot of food. I was in Norwalk on business, and I'm so glad I found this place. It's actually one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to, and so refreshing to see amongst all the crappy fast food chains in the area. The food was really good, and authentic. And presented very artfully. The place was spotless! Which I really liked. And the staff were very friendly. The Clear soup, and the squid salad were fantastic! So was my sushi roll. Suki is a fantastic restaurant. The sushi rivals that of any other sushi I've had in Ohio, and for a small place, the variety of rolls and fish is great. The entrees are wonderful--generous servings, perfectly cooked, and great sauces. Try the gyoza. The ponzu sauce is traditional but with a hint of bbq. Don't let the casual, bright, family-oriented environment tempt you to think the food will be average. It's excellent. The atmosphere is spirited thanks to an engaging and attentive staff. Not sure what happened? We used to love this place and was excited about visiting after the remodeling of the interior. Our server was a bit rude to us and told me we had to be isolated from the rest of the people because of my service dog. Stuck us in a back room that was cold as a freezer. I asked to move and the manager said absolutely not a problem. I ordered a sushi platter that comes with a California roll. I asked for the roll to be deep fried. I was told for a dollar that could be done and I agreed to that. When it came they made a mistake and brought me the deep fried California roll but also the regular one one the sushi platter. Here is where it begins to go ugly. This server after I point out the problem thanks me for my honesty, with his bare hands reached down picked up from my platter the roll and carried to the kitchen. He then has the balls to come back with it and say you can keep it if you want!! At this point I don't even want my platter you nasty puke!! Then we get the rest of the food and I can't believe this. Beef is absolutely raw in the center. The vegetables consists of barely grilled onions and I would be willing to bet this had to be frozen broccoli! There was no way the broccoli was fresh you could see that it had freezer burn on it. I'm not really sure what happened to this restaurant? It went from an amazing classic sushi restaurant to a modern chain looking bad food, bad service, we don't need the local people anymore kind of place! read more

Wow, I have not been here since it became Suki and I have been missing out. I just figured the old buffet place changed their name again! A friend recommended, I'm not a sushi fan but the gyoza, chicken yaki soba, chicken hibachi were awesome, wife got chicken and shrimp hibachi and loved it. Yes we ordered to much but now I have a lunch for tomorrow. Our server, Joshua, was just fantastic! Atmosphere was pleasant, place was clean, food... again awesome. We ordered (take-out) from here last night and it was great!! The rolls were fresh and tasted amazing! We ordered 12 rolls total and our favorites were the Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Shrimp, CAVS, Godzilla; and of course the staples like Philly, California, and Sweet potato were great too! Clean atmosphere, great service, they gave PLENTY of side sauces, and overall great experience! We'll be ordering this again soon - I hope they stay in Norwalk for many many more years!!! read more

Food super good and fresh! Major downside they appear to be really under staffed. We got our meals at different times and only ordered rolls and fried rice. After being there an hour and a half and still waiting on refill of my drink and the fried rice. Couple next to us asked for their bill and that took a half hour. Food nicely priced but they need to get their game up! Once we brought our concerns to the manager she said a waitress had called off and there was nothing she could really do she offered us a free ice cream for the inconvenience after sitting there for two hours. Was not asking for a free meal but the service was unacceptable, will definitely not be returning. read more

This building has a bit of a curse on it. Its never the same resturant for very long, but I genuinely hope that this place stays. By far the best sushi around, very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and respectfully decorated. Absolutely worth a visit. read more
