    Pho with beef and meatballs

Pendule vietnamese restaurant. The pho was absolutely delicious. The noodles and seafood entree were very good as well. Good service and ambience. Recommended!

Came here w/ a gift card as we passed through town. Friends recommended the pho but we didn't love it. Taste was fine but didn't live up to the raving we heard. Bowl was large & lotsa broth which we didn't drink. ($12) Portion size was rather small on the crispy chicken w/ veggies I had. (12$). Taste was good & chicken was fairly crispy. Could have used more vegetables as I had only 2 pcs of broccoli. Kinda disappointed I couldn't sub for fried rice for an up charge. I woulda paid $3 charge to sub out the white rice but they said they could only add on rice which didn't come as a side. All the rice options were large entree sizes with the smallest being $11! So I kept w/ white & it was a small bowl not even filled all the way. Inside was nice & very clean but sorta dark w/ the shades drawn so it was a bit gloomy. Weird music played in background. Eclectic variety. Service was good & food came out pretty fast. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. We'd maybe come back.

7,000 mile summer food tour. Thrilled to have a sister location to my 2nd favorite Richmond Virginia restaurant! The only thing lacking is the answer beers but I'll survive lol. Food is consistent to what I love about the Richmond location. Good value, quality, fast service, and consistent flavor profiles. Ordered the Pho xao do bien (spicy seafood flat rice noodles) with hot and sour soup! Asked for extra spicy and they added some heat plus the table side spice jars. Baby scallops, squid, and shrimp) as part of the seafood blend. Delightful

Really Nice little gem of Vietnamese cuisine Located right in Sandusky, OH. Service was stellar, atmosphere was inviting and the staff were very friendly and hospitable on ensuring food was met. I had a crude hangover so decided to get the pho ga broth (Chicken protein). Herbs were fresh for garnish, soup was tasteful & the soup was just straightforwardamazing! Strongly suggest /recommend if your ever in North Ohio, Do visit this gem! No disappointments here.

Appetizer Sampler- you cannot go wrong each one is delicious!

Great new place for me. I highly recommend the Appetizer Sampler. Great variety between textures and flavors comes with lots of optional sauces and seasonings. Rocket Shrimp crispy and tender shrimp. Crispy Shrimp toast. Steamed and Deep Fried Dumplings as well as a delicious Spring Roll. Try all the sauces and seasonings.

After a long day at Cedar Point this girl was HANGRY so anything and everything sounded good. Luckily, Mekong's did the trick. The staff were very friendly and our food came out fairly quickly. I'm the kind of person who has to get the dish all prepared and mixed up before I really start eating so the prep for my vermicelli bowl took some time but was worth it. Pretty tasty food.

The Combination Vermicelli Bowl ($13) didn't look like much but was delicious!! It was a good size (not humongous) and had lots of slices of chicken, beef, and a couple shrimps nicely fragrant with lemongrass. The crispy pieces of spring roll were super flavorful as well! It also wasn't filled with filler rice noodles as lots of vermicelli bowls can be. It was super crowded for Tuesday night dinner! Mango Cider ($6) was nice too, they have quite a variety on their drink list! Staff were excellent, perfectly attentive and polite.

Good Pho. We are from Michigan and there is plenty of pho in Michigan. In OHIO, not so much. The pho from Mekong is good. Everything is done correctly. Veg and meat are all on par. You will not be disappointed! Highly Recommended.

Grilled pork. This was a clear winner

When you advertise "authenticity" in your name, you are somewhat set up for criticism. I didn't come with high expectations. If something is expensive, classy or authentic... there's no need to say it and there's value in that. We ordered the soft spring roll aka summer roll, pho tai, pho with meatballs, fried pork dumplings, and grilled pork with rice. 1. Soft Spring roll had no herbs, cucumbers, any other veggie than lettuce. The sauce was light brown and slimy? No peanut flavors or acidity with dish sauce. And the noodles in the roll were soggy. 2. Pho broth was bone bland and lack the richness and cattiness a home cooked pho would offer. The sides to the pho were a bit sad too as no one wants wilted basil. There was also no cilantro. Just basil. Which made the most popular Vietnamese dish completely sub par in flavor. Just like the fresh roll. 3. Grilled pork was good. Although I've never had it cut up for me in this way. Usually it's a full pork chop or two but I had two kids so maybe they were helping me feed them. An egg doesn't come with it so I had to add it to my order which is also out of the norm and expectation. The fish sauce that came with it was very good! But use a little as it does overpower the entree. No daikon just carrots and some cucumbers. That's ok I still ate everything up from this particular entree. Same goes for the fried pork dumplings but the soy sauce needs a little love. Overall this is not authentic. The reason why I even stopped by is because I'm at the great wolf lodge with my young kids and wanted to support something local and close to the resort. A lot of families come here from the Midwest and this was a missed opportunity for the owners to really let the Vietnamese culture and food shine. I'm from the Detroit side of Michigan. I've had Pho from Madison Heights and in Grand Rapids. Come on Sandusky. Do better. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive and helped a chaotic meal be a moment of peace for two very tired parents on vacation with small kids. I just wish the food was better especially if it's supposed to be considered authentic.

Weekend trip in Sandusky area and happen to find this place along the way. The restaurant is fairly big and with a bar area. I went during dinner hour and they are packed with people. The server is not quite attentive, but given that he is juggling with multiple table. I got the Roasted Pork and Wonton Egg Noodles. The soup is slight blend for me and can use a little more flavor. I also got the Crispy Pork Spring Roll and it is a different story. The spring roll is super hot and crispy and go super well with the fish sauce based dipping sauce.

The grilled pork vermicelli is so flavors and the beef broth is super on point. Doesn't even really need the jalapeño or hoisin

Their broth is so complex and comforting, the ingredients are always fresh, and the space is well kept. The service staff are attentive and helpful. If you're only getting this for takeout, you're missing out. They make their own chili oil and my husband practically drinks it with his Banh mi. No other Vietnamese spot in Northeast Ohio comes close in my opinion. I live 30 mins away and am already making excuses to come back so I can eat here.

I was in the area at the Lorain Library (main branch), and was craving a cozy meal. Pho Ever had a catchy name and was only a few minutes away (drive). What's more cozy than pho? I made a quick and good decision to visit. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is one open space simple cultural decor. The space well fits groups and single guests. Multiple comfy booths are available along one of the walls and there are plenty of tables. Decor includes Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hats) around the perimeter of the restaurant, vases and flowers, wood carved rooster art, prosperity wall hanging with laughing Buddhas, and other decor typical of Asian restaurants. There is also a blue sky ceiling fragment. The atmosphere is very simple and casual. The restaurant is not the cleanest. That includes the floor, the bathrooms, the tables, and teapots. Everything could use a deep clean. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu features appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli stir-fry, pho, fried rice, ramen noodles, combination plates, and optional add-ons. Drinks were not on the menu. There are few pictures of the menu items to point you in the right direction. Each dish has alphanumeric value for simple ordering. I noticed that the prices are pretty value-oriented less than many other comparable restaurants. I ordered my default Vietnamese restaurant order - pho, rolls, and hot tea. More specifically, A3 (2 charbroiled pork rolls, $5), A4 (charbroiled chicken rolls, $5), P3 (pho with eye round steak and well-done brisket, $14), and jasmine tea ($2 for a tea pot). Rolls had a generous amount of meat. I loved pork rolls, but didn't like the chicken. I found it to be too dry. I did not use the accompanying sauces since spice is not my favorite. Pho included a large portion, plenty of meat, but the broth had some slightly lemony undertone that wasn't my favorite. Jasmine tea was perfectly hot and light. It was a very comforting meal due to hot tea and hot pho. I also loved that the food was delivered with a pouch with chopsticks, fork, spoon, and big spoon for pho. SERVICE: The service was very pleasant, quick, and accommodating. There was one waiter serving quickly filling dining room. He was excellent and very attentive! I was seated very quickly. My food impressively arrived within minutes. All other guests had all their questions answered with patience. Huge compliments on the service! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to groups. They expeditiously moved tables together for large dinner groups. I was at the restaurant before 6 PM and the restaurant was already almost full with more people pulling into the parking lot. It seems like it's a popular local destination. PARKING: There is plenty of parking available to customers. Dedicated parking lot rather than shared plaza arrangement. My experience was pretty positive. I was especially impressed with the excellent service. It wasn't the best Vietnamese food that I experienced, but pretty good for a casual Sunday meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here, I'd definitely stop in while in the area.

Then the food hits, and you realize: oh, this is a destination. The space is tiny--tiny. Every time the front door swings open, a blast of outside air rushes in like it's trying to join the waitlist. Seating is scarce, but the whole system works: packed room, fast service, no panic. A strange harmony. Everything feels made with intention. Drinks were built one ingredient at a time, syrups clearly homemade. My black garlic ramen was absurdly good: deep, rich broth, perfect pork chashu that I'd happily eat by the pound, fried garlic that hit just right. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken? Unreal. A whole meal disguised as an appetizer. My wife doesn't like dark meat--fantastic news for me. I inhaled the entire plate like it was my birthright. Service was warm, calm, human--no chaos, no weirdness, just a kitchen pushing out nonstop greatness. We'll be back, no question. For my taste buds, this is some of the best ramen in Northwest Ohio.
