I've hung in there with the grumpy malcontent guy at the front counter for 5 years, but that ends today. (The lady is more pleasant.) Decent dry cleaning, but they lost my clothes, and the guy was dismissive when I insisted I brought clothes in 2 weeks prior. He literally waved me off in a huff. Imagine my thrill when I found the ticket at home, marched right back in, and got my clothes. They tied my order to another person when they entered my phone number. I would give them a negative 5 if I could. I have been using them for years for dry cleaning and overall, they have done a decent job. However, I took my suit in for simple alterations - picked it up and paid the charges - the pants were not altered correctly. I took them back and the owner measured and said he would alter them correctly. When I picked them up, he asked for $25 charge. When I explained I had already paid, he got very mad, yelled at me, refused to give me my pants until I paid, called me a BAD customer, then threw my credit card at me. I was beyond amazed at this unprofessional behavior. I told him he lost a customer and I will never return. I highly recommend you find another vendor. read more

absolutely do not take your clothes here!!! there's enough bad reviews just take an extra drive to the ones with good reviews in broomfield! went to get a pair of pants taken in, they had all the safety pins in the sides of how much to take in. when i go to pick them up, they cut them to shorts!!!! beyond furious and they refused to do anything, no reimbursement or anything. honestly astonished anything like this could happen. beware. read more

I loved Suki who used to run this place years ago. She was kind, personable & had integrity. Since she left the dry cleaning prices have always been decent but the service average. But after years & hundreds of dollars spent on dry cleaning sweaters, I'll not go back. Ironically has nothing to do with their dry cleaning, but their sewing/alterations service. The female seamstress was given 2 curtains with a piece of tape marking the approximate hem, but my husband specifically told them to cut the length to exactly 79.5", which they wrote down on the receipt. When I picked them up, the charge was $30 which seemed excessive for 2 non-lined curtain hems, but I don't have a sewing machine, so I paid. When I took them home, they were 1/2" too long. She cut them to 80". I went back & she refused to acknowledge & pull out the receipt that said "79.5" and kept insisting, "this is where you put the tape." "Measure twice, cut once" was my reply. Or at least call us if you are not sure, you had our phone number. So, based on this negative experience & the refusal to acknowledge they messed up or reduce the fee or redo the hem, I'd advise don't bring your business here. If something goes wrong, they'll make it seem like your fault. read more

I walked in with some alterations and dry cleaning. She explained everything and took all the measurements and gave me a quote of $40 for adjusting cuffs on just one suit. I asked the lady up front to just dry clean it instead rather than adjusting the cuffs. When I picked it up today she charged me for it despite me asking her to not do the adjustment and wouldn't take off the extra charge despite me asking her not to adjust the cuffs. Wouldn't recommend getting anything done here. read more

2 experiences here. First one, dropped a suit off with a butter stain. Taken care of in 5 days as promised - great service. Second one was a disaster. I dropped off a handmade gown to be dry cleaned. When I went back a week later, it was completely ruined. The red bled into the cream color (not sure how that happened as it was supposed to be dry cleaned). They said they would try to clean it again. Came back a week later - it didn't work. They said they would ask if the tailor could take out the ruined panels and fix it. They said they'd call. 2 months later - no call. I go back. They said the tailor can't fix it and they tried to offer me store credit. I refused. I asked them to pay for the dress they ruined (I paid over $300 for this handmade gown). They did pay me what I asked for the dress (however the man complained the whole time I didn't have a receipt to prove the price). Very unfriendly. The woman wrote me a check. They wouldn't give me my gown back. This was my prom gown, and I have worn it for many special occasions since. It was sentimental and I'm devastated that it's now gone. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I notice now that all of these other reviews are dated; Suki isn't there anymore and the new people running this location are rude and aggressive. I took an item for cleaning and got back a very expensive mess and a no-English tongue-lashing when I tried to complain. They wasted my time and money and lied. I really miss Suki, but she is no longer there and the place is awful and those people are not to be trusted; they totally suck. Too bad, Lafayette needs at least one good dry cleaners. Sadly I cannot give zero stars. I dropped my coat off on a Saturday, they took my telephone number and told me I could pick it up the following Friday after 5pm. Today is Friday so I stopped by after 6pm to pick up my coat as I have a flight out tomorrow to a destination where it will be cold. You guessed it, coat hasn't been dry cleaned yet. You've had it five days, it's only a coat, not a five piece lounge suite. The woman says to me in an annoyed tone 'It's not done yet, can you come back tomorrow?'. Well no, I actually can't. When I asked why they couldn't have given me a call to let me know that it wouldn't be ready on time I didn't get a decipherable response. So now I'm off on my vacation tomorrow with an uncleaned coat. Thanks Suki's Dry Cleaners. Next time I will try a cleaners who have the courtesy to adhere to the time frames they give their customers. read more

BEWARE of special occasion dress alterations. I took my daughters prom dress there to be altered. When I picked it up, it was a mess. It had crooked seams, and one arm hole bigger than the other. I was told they would fix it but charge me full price to do so. I left with a ruined prom dress, a bummed out kid. Be very careful what you take there, and if anything goes wrong don't expect a resolution to the problem. read more

Really too bad Suki is not there any longer. I took a leather jacket to get relined for an anniversary present. I told them I needed it back by a certain day (they had 2 weeks). When I went to pick it up the day before the anniversary, I was told another week. That was not acceptable. When I got the jacket back the lining was so bunched up in spots that it didn't hang correctly. It was seriously shoddy work. I took the jacket back to them to fix and gave them another week to fix it. I went to pick up this evening and was told that it would be yet another week. NO WAY!! I argued with the person at the counter. She was rude, lying, and refused to call her tailor. After about 15 minutes she realized I wasn't backing down. She had her tailor bring the jacket and I got a full refund. Not only have they wasted a month of my time but I still have to find a tailor that can fix his shoddy work. My recommendation....
