I ordered the Szechuan lamb noodle soup for a new flavor experience. There were four meaty lamb bones in a rich broth that was spicy but not overly spicy. The noodles were hearty and maybe were had pulled. There was a bit of cabbage in the soup and some cilantro for extra flavor. I enjoyed a cup of the complimentary barley tea that they provide as an option to water. The service was pleasant and the food was brought to my table really quickly. The interior is spartan but clean and organized. Thanks to the owners for keeping this place consistently producing a delicious product with fair pricing for the food. I'll definitely be back.

The cauliflower (I don't know the actual name but it's stir fried, spicy and comes with peppers) had wok hei and I couldn't stop eating it. Beef rolls is the sophisticated auntie of the scallion pancake. Think of it like an asian burrito with thin sliced beef, fresh scallion and cilantro, and a touch of hoisin all hugged together with a crispy tasty scallion pancake. The shredded potato tastes like the best potato salad that isn't your picnic potato salad. The shredded potatoes were quickly blanched then stir fried preserving the crunch and crispness similar to al dente pasta. Seasoning was on point. The homiest flavor came from the stewed short rib. The rib pieces were braised in a soy and star anise sauce like what you find in Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The peels potatoes were cut rustically and just cooked through and not mushy. Authentic flavors and freshness like this is so so hard to come by. I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. One tip I have for selecting authentic food is by looking at the customers. If the customers are all Asian eating at an Asian restaurant, you know the food is going to be good. Service was 10/10, waitress was super polite and stopped by to chat with us about the food and SLC. I am from out of town but I grew up eating at NYC Asian restaurants and this is as good as if not better. If you happen to stop by the largest Costco in the world, make a pit stop here to refuel after all those steps.

I thought that was a reasonable request, especially since I had already explained that the pork wontons didn't taste right. Unfortunately, the gentleman never came back to our table, and the manager never stopped by or spoke with us at all. We ended up paying the full bill, and no one even apologized or offered any kind of resolution. When the host later asked how everything was, I explained that the wonton soup wasn't as good as I expected. She simply said, "Oh, sorry." While I understand that mistakes happen, it felt like a very dismissive response, especially after we had already brought the issue to their attention. I honestly feel like the food quality at this restaurant has gone downhill. What disappointed me even more was the lack of customer service and follow-through. If a customer takes the time to politely bring up an issue, I would expect someone from management to at least come to the table and address it.
