Came by on a busy Friday night. It was packed, and since tables aren't managed at all, you have to grab a seat yourself before ordering for dine-in. First come first serve. It would really be nice if it was managed. Because we ordered to-go, they said we aren't allowed to sit at a table inside. We wanted to dine in but there just were not seats when we ordered. It sucked we couldnt change our mind when a seat opened. Kind of an unpleasant experience. Upstairs was pretty cramped with all the SomiSomi customers too. so we just ate in the plaza outside. Wait time was around 15 minutes, the takeout uses different containers than dine-in so I was a bit disappointed with the presentation. I guess it couldn't be helped. That said, the taro was amazing. It's really big (easily serves 2-3). The fact this dessert was actually bomb saved the experience for me. Would probably try to come back again when it's not peak hours.
Came here this past weekend late afternoon and tried their Mango Bingsoo. Ice and mango was soft and melted well like butter in your mouth. It wasn't too sweet so everything went well together. I liked that they put the condensed milk on the side so you can adjust. Only complaints are the portions could be a bit bigger for the price and also that it is very crowded (probably because weekend) so you could not order until you get a table and our order took about 15-20 minutes to come out so expect a wait. Overall: 7.9/10 would recommend to go here with your friends. Also don't forget to get parking validation printed here before you leave!
Time and time again, visiting one of my favorite dessert spots with my wife and this time was no different. My wife and I love trying out new flavors whenever we visit. This time we tried the injeolmi bingsoo which was a great choice. Although it was very and I mean VERY powdery, the bingsoo flakes mixed with the injeolmi is a great combo overall. Not too sweet but adds plenty of flavor. Although not my favorite flavor, it was a nice choice. Through each visit, I'm pretty impressed with the staff, very friendly and accommodating. They move the waitlist pretty quick to have customers seated due to how packed this place can get. Peak hours are definitely Friday/Saturday evenings so plan accordingly. Free 2 hour parking validation is provided if needed which is always the best especially in LA. Excited to visit again to try more flavors as I'm very interested in their toast menu.
First time visiting Sul & Beans, and it definitely did not disappoint! With Southern California going through a heatwave, this was the perfect way to cool off. The store was nice, clean and well air-conditioned! We ordered the Sweet Corn Bingsoo, and it was surprisingly delicious. The shaved ice was light, fluffy, and melted in your mouth. The sweet corn added a subtle sweetness, and the crunchy corn flakes paired perfectly with it, adding a fun texture that made every bite enjoyable!
My first time here. There was a short line to order but the place was packed! Luckily a table freed up after we got our order in. We got the black sesame bingsoo and taro bingsoo. Both came with red bean and mochi. The taro bingsoo also had crispy coconut shavings while the black sesame bingsoo had almond shavings. You also get a side of condensed milk. Both were delicious! I see why it's so popular! So creamy but light and fluffy, my new favorite dessert! They were huge too! Perfect for sharing! A great way to cool down during the warm weather! If I lived closer I would be here all the time! Can't wait to come back to try other flavors!
Good shaved ice & validated parking. (Each store in the Madang mall validates. We got ours validated at another store so not sure how many hours this store validates for.) Mango is my favorite. Fresh mangos with flavored shaved ice. The others are good but this time, the mangos were so sweet & the right firmness, giving it good texture. The store got busier as it got later - maybe people came after dinner? There were many tables & we wiped one ourselves. There is a bathroom inside the shaved ice shop. Good place to come with friends to chat over sweets.
This place is always packed in the evening. I came on a Thursday night and every table was occupied. We were still determined to end the night with a refreshing treat and when we ordered a group was leaving so I managed to snag a table. Otherwise, you really just have to stand around and hope someone leaves. Please be considerate and don't spend hours here if you can see a big line forming, thanks! Also, you have to bus the tables yourself so it is a bit dirty and unorganized inside. It took about 10 minutes to get the mango bingsoo, and it was delicious. Fresh, sweet, ripe mango chunks on top of a bed of the fluffiest ice. It would be even better if the ice itself was shaved frozen mango tho... It was the perfect treat for a hot summer day!
This spot was so good!!! We came here for a sweet treat after a heavy meal. You just have to park at the parking garage, which has the first 15 minutes free but if you purchase from here, you're able to print out a free parking validation ticket. It was an easy process that we did after we finished eating. I appreciate the staff for beig attentive when I mentioned my peanut and nut allergy because it took extra steps for them to put the strawberries on the side because it was closest to the nut powder they use! The yogurt berry bingsoo was our choice and it was also given with a side of condensed milk. My friend did not lie! This was one of the best bingsoos I've ever tasted. The ice was so chilly, fresh, and perfectly shaved like little snowflakes it felt. The fruits and berries were all so fresh. Even for us, a group of 5, we couldnt stop grabbing a bite after bite and the dessert was the perfect amount of sweetness also. It was like a light sweet type of dessert, which I highly love. The interior also seemed like such a good hangout spot too. Definitely would love to come back here after such a great experience. I also heard that it gets really busy around night time too, which makes sense because this spot closes around 11pm.
One of the best bingsu in Koreatown. Soft and flaky ice with ripe fruits. All flavors come with condensed milk. Unfortunately it's pricey though, each bingsu is $14-16.
Soooo refreshing! Especially on a hot summer day. Probably one of the best shave ice spots I've tried. I went with some friends and 4 of us were able to share 1 bowl and I felt satisfied. Service was okay. Location is in a mall that is packed so make sure u are not in a rush. I will be coming back.
Located in the Hmart square, this is such a yummy dessert spot in a great location with other restaurants and stores. Parking is in the connected garage, and if you make a purchase you can validate your parking! I visited on a very busy day (World Cup Korea v Mexico) so the service was pretty timely considering the insane crowds everywhere in Ktown. Inside were many tables, which were hard to grab with the crowds on this particular day. The yogurt berry bingsu had a mild tart yogurt taste throughout the fluffy ice, which I loved! The berries were sweet and the portion was good for two. I'm really interested in trying their injeolmi and black sesame flavors as well! Ultimately this was a fun, delicious spot that I'll be back for!

We ordered the banana milk bingsoo, and it was enough for all of us. We poured the condensed milk on top, and dove in. I have had bingsoo before, but it's been a while. What a welcome return! Parking in the plaza.
Best bingsoo ever!! Everything is made from scratch and only the freshest ingredients are used. I have tried many flavors, which have all been delicious. The menu is huge! I always get bingsoo and the snow is soft, light, and fluffy every time. If I had to pick a favorite bingsoo flavor, it would probably be the Fresh Mango Bingsoo. The mango is sweet and juicy, pairing perfectly with the snow and condensed milk. Super refreshing on a hot day. Green Tea Bingsoo would be a close second. The red bean is very creamy, while the nuts add a nice, crunchy texture. Aside from the bingsoo, the toasts are also good sweet treats. Each toast is cut into 8 pieces, so it is easy to share. There are various toast flavors, but you can never go wrong with the classic injeolmi toast. Weekend nights are always super busy and there will be a waitlist. Luckily, there are lots of tables, so the wait should not be too long regardless if you are in a small or big group. Do not forget to get parking validation when you are at the register!

My friends and I stopped by Sul & Beans for dessert and between the four of us, we shared a mango bingsoo and a black sesame injeolmi toast. At 8:00 p.m., the store was quite crowded so it took close to 20 minutes for us to get our items. Of the two items, I definitely liked the black sesame injeolmi toast a lot more. The toast had warm, chewy mochi melted on the inside as well as peanut butter. I really appreciate that the toast was not too sweet. The mango bingsoo on the other hand was far too sweet for my liking, even with the condensed milk on the side. The mango chunks seemed to have an artificial level of sweetness. I would definitely order the toast again, but not the bingsoo for this reason. Sul & Beans is clearly a popular spot for bingsoo, but in my opinion, you should come here for the dessert toasts. read more

Heaven on Earth!! I will forever be a Stan. The matcha Bingsoo is phenomenal and it's a great value for your money. I really wish there were more locations because if there were, I'd probably eat here everyday. The injelomi toast is fine. It pretty much just taste like toast with stuff on it. Sul & Beans is a great place for late night dessert. The shaved ice was light, fluffy, and perfectly refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. The toast was also a standout--warm, crispy on the outside, and deliciously sweet on the inside. The combination of both is a must-order. Very good shave ice, but dirty dirty dirty. Tables were not kept clean, no napkins in dispenser to clean yourself and restrooms were in bad shape as well. It was busy, but I've been here with lines out the door and the store was kept up better. Service was friendly enough, but clearly understaffed or under trained. Bummer. read more

Big heads up: this will be on the 2nd floor of the plaza. Same plaza as the HK Market. Also, you will not see the sign Sul & Beans. It's called Korean Bingsoo Cafe. It's next to the Sumi Sumi. I brought my parents here for a perfect dessert experience. It was a hot summer day and this was the most perfect spot to take them. We ordered 1 mango and 1 Taro Bingsoo. We basically finished it all between the 3 of us. This is such a guilt-free feeling dessert that's so light and airy. This is my new favorite dessert spot. read more
Got the strawberry cheesecake bingsoo and it was honestly so good. It was really light, and the toppings of the strawberry and cheesecake made it super refreshing. It also comes with a side of condensed milk so you can adjust the sweetness accordingly. We also got the injeolmi French toast. It was really good, but definitely on the heavier side. I'm personally not a big French toast person, but it was still really good and my friends really enjoyed it. There's a parking lot downstairs and they do validate for 2 hours i believe. Service was friendly and gave good recommendations. There's also plenty of seating inside. Overall, really enjoyed it and would come back! read more

Very delicious and fresh! I tried the banana and chocolate and it was really yummy but I preferred it to be a little more melted since the ice was kinda chunky. I kind of intentionally waiting for it to melt to avoid the ice chunks. Flavor was excellent tho! Line was long going in and I understand why. If you come with a group and it's crowded - it would be advisable to send someone off to find a table, as there are many but they are all hot commodities. read more

i love bingsoo and this is some of the best! their mango is the freshest i've ever had- they really pile it on and it is so juicy and ripe. the injeolmi is so unique but has a great nutty, umami flavor that i really love. if you're into nut butters, this one reminds me of that. i always need to get this flavor because it's my favorite. they give really big portions and definitely get busy but can serve the bingsoo out quick. i'm craving some more just typing this!! read more

Insane wait on a Saturday around 9pm. Like a ~45 min wait. Write your name on the clipboard, and someone will call out your name + party size, so stay close. Many parties didn't show up, so they would continue down the list. Order @ the register, and pick up your order at the counter. Very tasty, they are generous w the filling and toppings. Huge variety of flavors, something for everyone. Our group of 6 split 2, and felt it was the perfect amount. read more

Great place for a super fresh and light dessert. It's located on the second level of the Madang Mall. Parking is easy as there is a pretty big lot and I believe it is free with validation. Service is quick and the workers were friendly in my most recent visit. The space itself has a modern vibe and is cozy enough to sit for a while and enjoy your bingsu. We had the Strawberry Cheese Bingsoo and it was perfect! The texture of the ice is my favorite part of bingsu and Sul & Beans had that perfect light and fluffy texture. The flavor was great as well; not too sweet and the cheesecake bites complemented it well. We also had the Strawberry Citron and the Green Grape Ade to drink. The Strawberry Citron was a little bitter for my tastes, but the Green Grape Ade was very subtly sweet and refreshing. Portion size is definitely generous, so it would be best to come enjoy with multiple people. read more

Sul and Beans has my heart literally. I don't care how long the wait time is or how difficult the parking can be, I will GLADLY wait for their Yogurt Berry Bingsoo every single time. I've been a loyal customer since before the pandemic, before it became viral, and that's a true testament to just how GOOD their Korean shaved ice is! Ever since my first bite, I haven't found another shaved ice spot that compares to Sul and Beans. I've tried places like Mewame and Oakobing, but I always find myself coming back here because nothing beats the quality, flavor, and texture of their bingsoo. I've also tried their strawberry matcha drink, which was delicious and refreshing. They also serve injeolmi toast which is very nutty and toasty which makes a great pair with their coffee drinks that they serve. Sul and Beans continues to be my go to spot whenever I'm craving Korean shaved ice. Granted, every time I've come its always a different experience but It's definitely worth the hype! PS: you can't beat the free parking especially in the heart of Ktown where it's known to not have ANY parking available. read more
Located of Western Ave in Los Angeles in Koreatown. Parking is available in the structure where H Mart is. This place is a multi level with other eating spots, shops and movie theater. This place has a good amount of seating but being a popular spot it can get packed here. I got the strawberry match it was ok. Also tried the banana milk bingsoo as well that my friend got. Service was ok one of my friend's drink was made and ready but the buzzer wasn't working we were wondering what was taking so long since we all got our stuff, when he went to counter he was told yeah the buzzer wasn't working they could of said something or called it out or something. Overall the place has done good bingsoo and the drinks were good. read more

I was craving dessert and this dessert spot has been on my ktown hitlist for a while and it was nearby. I ordered the green tea bingsoo and my friend got the yogurt berry bingsoo. I love their soft shave ice base and the layering. It's very smooth. It's refreshing and it's not too sweet. They give you condensed milk on the side. You can pour on top if you wanted to add a touch more sweetness to it. There are a decent amount of tables available. It was busy but our order still came out within 10 minutes. There is a parking structure nearby however we were lucky enough to find street parking nearby. This is forsure one of the premium dessert spots in ktown. Try it out if you like. :) read more

Sul & Beans is located inside a plaza similar to Daiso but on the second floor right next to Somisomi in Koreatown. This place serves a tasty shaved ice treat. I ordered the strawberry, which is light and refreshing. I came with a big group at night, and they had a little notepad in the front to write my name on. We had to wait a little bit but it was fine. We were just enjoying the talk and chats outside. My friend had the chocolate and that was also pretty tasty! The menu has a lot of different varieties so pick one and check it out! It is worth the wait and something to try. read more

I love to eat snow. Now I know you're assuming the kind that falls from the sky but think I might prefer the dessert kind the best. Sul & Beans is serving up the softest shaved milk base with a numerous array of toppings to choose from. It's a mandatory dessert after Korean bbq for me because it leaves your second stomach (aka: your dessert stomach) satisfied without overwhelming you. I got the strawberry cheese bingso and as you can see from the photo they really do load it on! Plus as you dig deeper there's strawberries hidden that pop up as you eat. Quite lovely! I don't believe they charged for extra condensed milk like other places which is always a plus. Everything was so delicious and cold. There's a parking structure but it does get crowded on weekends. Overall this spot never fails to satisfy. Final Verdict: I'm snow into this place!! 10/10 read more
bingsu is what you THOUGHT it would taste like to eat a snowball as a kid... like a sweet icey marshmallow??? u could also gaslight urself into believing its "healthy" too since its just ice..... riiiiiggggght (ignores behemoths of condensed milk) we got the taro bingsu and LOOK AT THAT COLOR??? ITS MORE PURPLE THAN BARNEY?? the taro flavor was in the powder atop the shaved milk itself, so the bites at the top were the sweetest. I wish the taro flavor was mixed in the whole dessert, but nonetheless still up. Condensed milk also makes up like half my bloodstream, i love that stuff, so i poured it EVERYWHEREEEE. but the COCONUT AND RED BEAN PULLS IT ALL TOGETHER!! i get red bean instead of boba when i go to tea shops like UGH so yum. coconut and taro are just such an amazing flavor combo as well. AND THAT MOCHI MMMMMM LOOK AT IT!! final notes is that I wish the bingsu itself was sweeter and not relying on the taro powdered on top and condensed milk you pour on, but idk don't trust me im borderline diabetic. but one portion served THREE OF US so this is truly one of the best desserts to share with friends. service was quick too :) read more
