Matcha was artificial tasting tho and it was more sweet than earthy/bitter. Worth a try but wouldnt get again - Hojicha Latte: more sweet and chocolatey than nutty/roasted. Wouldn't get again - Momo Peach Tea: nice peachy flavor. Pricey, but i would try other flavors. They use tea bags from Lupicia that is japanese owned and high quality. Friends got honeycomb and black sesame latte which also were overly sweet. Drinks average $7 for teas and $8 for matchas/lattes. This is a great place for late night dessert! It closes pretty late, and there are many seating options for a small or big group to enjoy some shaved ice. I got the oreo shaved ice in the bigger size, and it was perfect for our group of four. It came out pretty quickly, so we didn't have to wait that long. Additionally, one of the employees offered to put our tray away for us, which was very nice. A couple things I will say is that the parking lot of the plaza is valet only. I would try to find a spot nearby on the street if you aren't looking to pay for parking. Also, there were a few people smoking outside when we arrived, which was pretty unfortunate because we were smelling the smoke while in the outdoor seating area. I was looking for a cafe that had WiFi to get some work done. I stopped at Spot Coffee on a Saturday at 11:30 AM. It was probably because it was close to when it was opened, because it wasn't busy. There is valet parking in the plaza. It was $3 and they only accepted cash. For my order, I got the Injeolmi Latte. The staff said this usually doesn't come with espresso, so I needed to add that to the drink. The drink was ready quickly and they even brought it out to the table. The drink was okay and not too sweet. Overall, it was a decent option, but I wouldn't get it again. I also got a matcha cookie. It was okay as well, but it felt pretty pricy for a cookie. I sat at one of the couches near the wall. There was an outlet right at the bottom. There was also strong WiFi available as well. The only drawback was that the seat felt really low. I went to Spot with my friends for dessert. My friend ordered green grape slush. He drank some and found a clear plastic in the drink. But, only one was found so he just brushed it off and informed the employee. She said she'd remake the drink but lightly apologized. After he came back to his seat and found multiple white plastic, styrofoam materials in the drink as seen in the photo. I took the pieces and the drink to talk to the employee that made the drink. I asked the cashier to talk to the employee that made the drink. Then, the employees showed up and instead of apologizing and suggesting a way they can resolve the situation, they all just said we used this and that to make the drink and said they didn't know what it was, making it look like we intentionally added the plastic pieces to the drink. I said it's the drink they made so they should be able to explain the situation accurately. None of them clearly explained what they were. And one of the employees even cut me off while I was talking and rudely said "We'll just remake it. We'll just remake it." I CLEARLY SAID NO. I do not want them to remake it and just EXPLAIN to me what those were. But, all of them didn't even look bothered and NONE of them sincerely apologized to my friend and had the audacity to say "I'm not sure what you want us to do" and asked "what do you want us to do?" One of them just said "I can give you our manager's number if you want." We were all willing to just take the apology but their way of resolving the issue and their indifferent and insincere attitude was unacceptable. How can they just say we don't know what those are and just act like this was nothing? What if these were in their drinks? TLDR: I used to love spot coffee but when I recently went back to grab their matcha cream top, I found it to be very mid and definitely not worth the more expensive price point. It was pretty empty inside - no line - so I was able to order and get my matcha cream top drink within five minutes. I was surprised that it was almost $10!! (Ah the amount I will pay for a cream top). The drink itself wasn't very special - I had been to spot before earlier this year and LOVED it so maybe I had unrealistic expectations but it was quite thin despite being a cream top. The flavor was nice though and it wasn't too sweet. Overall, I think if you're going to study all day, then this might be a nice place to arrive (early for the valet lol) and get a drink and find a nice booth.
