Tiffany does a perfect job with gel manicure though wants to do the way she wants them rather than listen to shape (I said round and they are pointy) and go slowly with color to make sure you like it first. As sandal weather has finally come, I looked down at my "man nails" and decided I should walk in for a pedicure. They took me in right away and I had a fantastic experience. I found the chair to be very comfortable and the foot tub had nice jets which I enjoyed putting my feet in the path of. The technician (beautician? Pedicurist?) was very thorough, digging all the "schmegg" from under my big toenails and really smoothing our the edges which tend to poke my poor nail beds. Of course the experience included some nice leg and foot massage, which my plantar fasciitis-plagued feet appreciated and I loved the acupressure that she applied. All in all a great experience which I intend to repeat again. Almost forgot to add that she was very welcoming and friendly and everybody else there seemed to be as well. read more

The salon was able to work me into their schedule and the nail technician did an incredible repair job, I don't wear polish on my fingernails and the nail repairs are natural looking (basically invisible)--which is really pretty amazing. Called ahead for an appointment last weekend for a classic manicure and pedicure midmorning. Upon arrival I picked a polish, sat in a wonderful pedicure chair and was given a menu with pedicure choices. I asked the nail technician if she had time for me to upgrade to a spa pedicure and keep the classic manicure. She checked her book and agreed. The first half of my experience was excellent. However all of a sudden she seemed to begin to rush. She massaged one leg for half the time she did the first, and then, took another client and had a gentleman take over for her. He did a terrible job on my manicure, which upon leaving I realized was lumpy and uneven, like the polish was too thick. He had me pay before doing my manicure. It was 5:30pm on a Saturday during the sudden heat wave that we had in the last week of April, when I realized that unharvested legs + skirt the next day would not be a good look. I wanted to try the salon along Lee Highway (near Pho Hot) because I had a 50% off coupon, but unfortunately they closed that day at 5pm. Sully Nail was right around the corner from my house (and since it was so hot, driving further than a mile just seemed out of the question), so I decided to give it a try. I didn't have to wait too long before being whisked away into a smaller room to get my leg wax. The lady didn't speak a whole lot of English, but she seemed nice, and was friendly. While she was a bit slow to do the waxing (the lady at Salon Mint is super fast), she did a pretty good job of removing all my hair (it was still a little patchy, but not as bad as some other places I've been to). Waxing prices were higher than others in the area - about what you pay at Salon Mint. That would be the only major downside for me. The Salon is nice and clean. Nothing in the decor really throws out the "wow" factor, but if you're looking for nails or waxing and you live locally, then it's a fine place to go to. (In fact, since hubby asked if I wanted to get a Pedicure, I think I'll be off there tonight ;-) (btw, there is another review for this place, but for some reason it has vanished - though it's still in Google Cache). read more

I've been here twice over the past 2 weeks. It's about 5 minutes from my house and about 2 minutes from my childrens' daycare, so it's very conveniently located. The first time I went in, the lady was pleasant. We didn't have a lot of conversation, but she did a good job and was patient with me. She did a good job, I felt, and I even used a color she was wearing because it looked so nice on her. The second time was yesterday. The lady was rude. She rushed through the whole thing, the nail polish was really thick, and she kept blaming me for when she screwed up. She told me I hit the fan before I had ever moved my hand off of the table, even though she very obviously smudged it with her glove. I dug through my bag for cash to pay her, and told her it was fine when she was freaking out about how I was going to mess up my french tips by digging in my bag... I only didn't care because I was going home to remove it anyway. So sad that I don't think I'll be returning. Again, it's located in a very convenient location for me and the first lady was as sweet as can be. But I never caught her name, so it would be difficult for me to make an appointment. read more

Kim gave me a fantastic pedicure and shellac manicure My shellac/gel manicure lasted 14 days and probably would have gone longer. I've been living in Centreville for about 5 years now, and this is usually my last minute spot or if I don't feel like driving anywhere else spot. Service is always great, most of the time when I come their it's usually empty and never haft to wait. Truc did my nails this time and did a great job, she took her time and I didn't feel rushed! The reason I gave this review 3 stars is because of the prices, I came in for an acrylic fill and polish change in my toes which came up to $42 which is a lot more then I usually pay.. 28 for the fill and to fix ONE nail then $14 for a polish change which is a bit much. Normally a polish change is about $7 and an acrylic fill is about $15-$17. None the less I'm very satisfied with my nails and toes. I would deff recommend this place, only if you're willing to pay a little extra for the services. read more

This place makes me feel like a million bucks! They use quality products. Very clean. They use SNS powder and the base AND the drying layer to ensure a strong application and professional look. They don't mix it with gel and tell you its the powder. And they use the vitamin oil when they are done. It lasts four weeks if you are careful -- as they take their time applying. I've been to several of the staff here, and they are all great. The chairs are newer and comfortable. They have a huge color selection for all of their colors, regular, gel and SNS. They use quality waxing products as well. Just the right temp and the cooling gel is top quality. Today I had tips put on underneath the SNS and wow! I'm looking pretty fabulous. My nails were so short, the manicure would have looked sad without it. Kudos to Tracy for recommending it and for the great job today. read more
