I do think I ordered too far ahead because hubbys wasn't as melty as he would have liked. But we both noticed how much better the bagels were than most places. My Cheddar-Jalapeno was packed full of jalapeños and you could actually taste the cheese. Hubbys blueberry bagel was almost blue it had so many blueberries in it. I just struggle with the service.......on 2 out of 3 attempts within the last 2 weeks. 1st 7:05ish AM on a Thursday. Stop by on my way to SRHS to get my father a bagel while he was in the hospital. I waited, and waited,and waited and the one person who is making sandwiches, never came over to take my order at 7:15. I left went next-door to the coffee shop to just take him a cup of coffee. Was it busy there was a party of three standing in the shop waiting for their orders. 2nd I went by today because I had some extra time to pick up a bagel on my way to work. 7:35 ish. Take my order at 7:43. They were doing a takeout on the phone. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It took over 7 minutes as the girls proceeded to have conversations. 3rd time......., was actually after the first time I stopped back by on my way back from the hospital to work, and there was a gentleman there that took my order right on the spot I said, where were you this morning which made no sense to him. In the past visited the Greenville site. The Spartanburg restaurant has been open for two years and this is my first time trying it. I am a NY toasted bagel guy but since trying Sully's steamed bagels, I am hooked. I usually get standard Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich on an Asiago bagel. As usual it was superb. The steam leaves the bagel tender while preserving all the taste. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Service excellent. I love this place and it was my first time! My family and I were looking for somewhere to eat for the night and we wanted a sandwich, the guy at the gas station told us about this place and we rode past it twice thinking they were closed but they were definitely open! We got there and Chris was very welcoming and helped us decide on exactly what we wanted! Chris made the perfect suggestions and everyone loved their food and had no complaints, he even told us what he didn't think we should get as well. Shoutout to Chris! The place was very clean as well for them to be open late like this! It's spring break so they close at 1am right now but during regular hours they close at 3am! I think this is the perfect spot to go to if you're hungry and looking for something to eat but don't want to eat a burger and fries lol. I've given this location more chances than I can count. As someone who comes in regularly, all I ask is for my order to be made correctly--and for a very specific reason: I don't like soggy bread, so I always ask for my toppings to be packaged separately. Simple request, right? Apparently not for this staff. Today was the final straw. I explained my request clearly. The young woman taking my order acted as if she understood... then proceeded to ignore everything I just said. When I brought it up, she pretended she had no idea what I was talking about--even though we had just had the conversation seconds earlier. Let me be clear: this is not about a mistake. This is about disrespect. Disrespect for customers. Disrespect for time. Disrespect for clarity. And frankly, I'm tired of being treated like I'm asking for the impossible. It's an enjoyable sandwich place. Everything is served on a bagel and you can get a variety of offerings. There's breakfast type bagels and more hearty ones like a Philly cheesesteak. Service is fast as well. You order and find a seat. Then they'll yell for you once the order is complete. All sandwiches are wrapped in a aluminum foil because they get a bit runny. We did a build your own with salmon, sprouts, avocado, and chive cream cheese (I added a couple of capers on my own when I got home). The salmon and cream cheese had a good flavor to them. The Asiago wasn't coming through on my bagel, but I did have a lot of other strong flavors going on. My partner got an el Camino on an everything bagel. I made my first trip to Sully's yesterday and I have to say it was pretty amazing. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with Zapp's jalapeño chips, and a soda. I added one of those big chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I didn't know what to expect, but it was awesome and I look forward to going back. Traveling from out of state and I decided to give it a try for lunch. The employees were great! They were not only kind but helpful as well. The restrooms and dining area were very clean. I happened to be staying in town and was looking for a decent lunch place. My wife Yelped and suggested Sully's Steamers. I was expecting an oyster place! This is an AWESOME Bagel Sandwich shop. I had the Steamenstein, (which is a corned beef sammy). You get to select your style of bagel and I picked the everything. A+++. I was greated as I entered by Peyton, who was at the register. She was super friendly and professional. As soon as a couple others walked in behind us, Joel (the manager) came up to assist on the front end. "Teamwork makes the Team Work". We were dining in and received our drinks (a couple beers on tap was a plus) and took a seat. A server carried our order out to our table when it was ready. Was it clean? Heck yeah! Spotless. Wow! What a concept - Steamed Bagel Sandwiches! I got "The Griswald" from an associate's recomendation. He told me "it pairs well with the Cheddar-Jalapeño Bagel or the Asiago Cheese Bagel." I was in town for a concert, and decided to stop in for dinner. It was a weeknight, so there was no wait and they got my order out quickly. Employees were courteous and helpful, and the interior appeared to be very clean and sanitary. Many of their sandwiches are named after pop culture references from the 80s and 90s, which was pretty amusing. I ended up ordering a Griswold, which consists of turkey, bacon, provolone, pepperjack, barbecue sauce, and parmesan peppercorn dressing. The sandwich itself was excellent, although they went heavier on the condiments than I would have preferred. On the upside, I was glad for the option of having a banana as my side dish, instead of the usual chips or fries. If you are unfamiliar with Sully's it has a great variety of steamed bagels. You choose the flavor sandwich you want and then pick a bagel ( there are 9 to choose from) I had The Gamecock ( chicken salad, bacon, onions, Swiss, & honey mustard on an Asiago bagel.) My husband had the original Italian Cheddar ( Ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, banana peppers, onions, Parmesan peppercorn on a Jalapeño bagel.) The staff is friendly and efficient preparing our order quickly and perfectly to our specifications.
