Located in the shopping district in Downtown Greenville, this pizza is decent. It's definitely not the best brick oven pizza I've ever eaten but it's definitely not the worst. The crust was airy and light. The flavors on the pizza were good. They come in a 10" person size pizza. So, if you are really hungry for pizza, I'd suggest each person getting their own toppings. If you're not starving or conserving calories, you can split it. Just know, you might leave hungry. We also had the wings as an appetizer (split 4 ways). They were average as well. After walking around shopping all day on a Saturday during the holiday season in Greenville, we really had no plan for dinner. We started checking restaurants and found long wait times, but we had a baby that we had to get back to the hotel. Even though trio had a line out the door, we decided to ask for a wait time, and it was way shorter than most places nearby. Even better, we didn't even have to wait as long as they quoted us to get a table. We were three adults and a baby and we were starving after having not eaten all day. We started with a pizza as an appetizer plus the baked Caprese as well. That was probably already too much food to get started with and then the house bread came out, which we couldn't resist. Honestly, the bread was so good. It was probably my favorite appetizer and it was free. I would guess their location makes them extra popular, but they offer family friendly Italian dinner at an affordable price. The prices are similar to your chain Italian restaurants and the quality is definitely a step up. If that's what you're looking for you're in the right place none of the dishes really stood out to me, but it definitely did the job. The staff know what they're doing here. They were turning tables quickly, and the staff were on top of everything... my friend even burned her hand on a dish which she admitted was completely her fault after being told the dish was hot. They immediately made sure to get her some ice and sent the manager out to make sure everything was OK. I think they even took some soft drinks off the bill for the trouble which wasn't even their fault. read more

Overall very mid. Our biggest issue was the service. We were seated and waited almost 30 minutes before a server greeted us, and from there everything moved extremely slowly. Water, bread, food, checks... all of it took a long time. Our server was kind, but the pacing was frustrating. We were also confused when five of us were given only three pieces of bread while nearby tables had one per person (the bread itself was good though) I got the margherita pizza and all of us agreed it tasted like the margherita pizza we used to get in our college dining hall. Not bad, but definitely not what you expect from a restaurant. My friend's caprese pizza was better and had more flavor, but still nothing special. Another friend got the spicy scallop and shrimp pasta and felt it wasn't spicy and was lacking flavor. While the company was great, each of us had our own reasons for leaving a bit disappointed. read more

Speaking only about the pizza, it was pretty good. Wood fired pizza here is served in your personal pan 10" pizza. The pizza quality is pretty good and is thin crust-like. The toppings my friend noted were on the saltier side should you be picky about salty meat on pizza. I tried it and saw where she was coming from, but meat lovers...well has a lot of meat! Brace your cholesterol! For my table bread lovers: one of my favorites and quality is far above your local chain restaurants. Good chance you may ask for seconds! The ambience and service is good and presentable. Definitely a place where you could take a person on a date or taking someone out for food. Truly the definition of mid. The only saving grace is the outstanding bread that they give out to the tables. The pasta is clearly from a box and the sauces were under seasoned. We had the wings as an appetizer and those were bad too. The ranch sauce was bottled hidden valley and the wings were soggy. I think the last time I stepped into this restaurant was 20 years ago & I'm not going to lie, it was still good now as it was then. The whole Italian restaurant vibe here is always on point. I love all the feels when you are sitting there, as you look around at the art on the walls and the brick oven in the back kitchen. The service we received was good and the food was also good. My seafood pasta was average after the second bite. It could have had more flavor to it, in my opinion. It was good, but nothing to brag about. Now that fresh, warm loaf of bread with olive oil and freshly shaved Parmesan they give you is my favorite! My husband devoured his blackened carbonara and my son thoroughly enjoyed his plain cheese pizza with spinach. There are many other Italian restaurants in Greenville to rant and rave about when it comes to the food, to be honest. However, Trios still has it. Excellent, casual dining spot in downtown Greenville. Decent size restaurant with a pretty traditional Italian menu. The highlight is the Woodfire pizzas which are delicious. Pick your favorite 10 inch pizza and enjoy the fresh bread smothered in fresh Parmesan and garlic oil as you wait for your pizza to come out. The service was incredibly fast, and the prices were beyond reasonable given the fact that this restaurant is right in the middle of downtown.It was an absolute highlight to our Saturday in someplace. First one's free but you'll want to order another if you're having one of their baked specialties. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan and it was excellent. Crispy exterior and melty goodness on the inside. My partner had their meat lasagna and he loved it too. We were too full for dessert but the tiramisu is on my list to try the next time we visit. Service was not rushed but still attentive. Y'all. I came here twice while in town. I do NOT do that while traveling because I love to try new places. This place just hits so right! I came here once for lunch with 2 people and another lunch a few days later with a group of 16 of us. The large group fit even on a weekend I think because of the Fall Festival. Both times the waitresses were great. Even though they seemed to have a lot of tables, they were very attentive and helpful with the menu. When they tell you the pizzas come out in about 10 minutes, they are not kidding! I had this experience both times even though they were busy both times. No hangry wait times here. The rolls they serve while you wait are soft and fresh. These were a big hit with everyone especially since they were drenched in maybe butter or olive oil with garlic. Pro-tip: you can make adjustments to their menu-listed pizzas. This is the way to go! I got two different pizzas when I was there. Visually the pizzas come out looking delicious and they did not disappoint! I tried the Roasted Chicken but swapped the shredded mozzarella for fresh mozzarella. It was great! They did not skimp on the chicken or the flavor here. Everyone for both times I was there loved what they got, salads to burgers and pasta. They have something for everyone on the menu. The only food that missed was the tiramisu. This seemed like it was completely missing the coffee. It tasted like a vanilla cake. We sent this back and we're not charged for it. We were in Greenville for a stop on our way to Atlanta and stayed at the Hilton by the River. We were in the mood for some soup and found this place had decent reviews in the downtown area. We walked in and were promptly seated early on a Friday evening. Our server was very nice and the food hit the spot. We enjoyed a chicken chili soup, lobster bisque (okay that was a bit salty), Mediterranean salad and Chicken Marinara. There was even enough to take back to our hotel to eat later. Found this place on a recent road trip from Blue Ridge to Hilton Head. From the onset of our arrival the decor and ambiance set the mood. The service is quick and efficient. Our server Adell was attentive to all our needs and frequently checked up on us. My wife had the baked Caprese pizza and it was excellent. I chose the chicken plate which was very good. Completely unmemorable, and what a disappointing finish to my trip to Greenville. I chose fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, which was served with a big chunk of fresh bread topped with finely shredded Parmesan, lying in a bed of what I thought was infused olive oil. First the fettuccine...the pasta itself was fine, but the sauce was just okay. Really didn't taste homemade, and lacked any kind of seasoning whatsoever. I added some ground black pepper from the plastic grinder sitting on my table (think the same thing you might have in your home kitchen), but it was still pretty tasteless. The shrimp looked like cocktail shrimp that had been thawed out and tossed on the dish. No char, no seasoning, just tiny little shrimps that added nothing to the dish. They'll run you an extra $8 (which was a little over $1 per shrimp). The bread was tasty, and I enjoyed it until the "oil" started to congeal, and I realized it was just melted butter. So now I have a half-eaten chunk of delicious bread, covered in cheese, and globs of cold butter all over the plate. Yuck. To make things even worse, my server was excessively loud, and thoroughly unhelpful when I asked a question. He gave me minimal attention during my meal, not that I needed to be pampered, but my experiences at every other restaurant I went to in Greenville this week were completely the opposite. Skip Trio, and go to Soby's for much better food, and definitely a better experience. read more

I ordered linguine Alfredo with salmon on the side. If you want your pasta mushy (I don't) this is the place. If you like your salmon overcooked (otherwise good) this is the place. Personally, I like my pasta al dente (firm). They do not have freshly made pasta, and when asked not to double cook my order the cook refused. (Why???). Most places in Greenville overcook their pasta, but most at least try to accommodate. My husband had blackened carbonara. We both only partially ate our meals because of the pasta--we were really hungry too! Our dog loved the salmon. But I have to say, I recall having eggplant Parmesan and linguine Alfredo with shrimp, respectively, in the remote past and enjoying them. read more

We started to check where we wanted to eat because it was getting late and decided on Trios after reading the great reviews. We are a family of four so two of us had the wood fired wings one had the blackened chicken carbonara, & one had the baked linguine with meatballs. Everything we had impressed all of us. It was definitely a win for us and we are happy that we found this spot. The service was on point and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area. I agree with other "mid" reviews. Service was a bit slow but my main issue was the chicken parm I ordered. The chicken itself was paper thin and way overdone. It was covered in a mass of cheese and angel hair pasta. When I lifted it out it almost looked like a piece of thin veal by the color, but you could see a very thin piece of chicken in the middle. When i asked the server to check with the kitchen they came back with some pieces of grilled chicken, which I appreciated, but no manager came to the table to check on us.
